Fri Sep 27 201314:12Duane Brown will be game-time decision
Texans LT Duane Brown (toe) didn't practice Friday and will be a game-time decision Sunday versus Seattle.
It's a major concern for Matt Schaub against Seattle's deep and ferocious pass rush. With Brown out of commission in Week 3 against the Ravens, Schaub absorbed seven QB hits and three sacks, and had his worst box score of the year.

Texans LT Duane Brown (toe) will be a game-time decision for Week 3 at Baltimore.
Brown's potential absence is concerning for fast-starting Matt Schaub, whose box-score stats already seem fluky seeing as the Texans have thrown a lot more passes than they want to due to early-season catch-up mode. Brown didn't practice on any of the three days this week. Terrell Suggs plays on his side.

Texans LT Duane Brown (toe) did not practice Wednesday.
Brown has a "pretty bad case" of turf toe and is currently in a walking boot. The Houston Chronicle doesn't expect him to play Sunday against the Ravens. His loss would be a massive downgrade to the Texans' offensive line. Ryan Harris will replace him at left tackle.

Texans LT Duane Brown (ankle surgery) had the stitches removed from his ankle on Tuesday and has already started running.

Thu Aug 16 201212:50Texans, LT Duane Brown agree on extension
Texans signed LT Duane Brown to a contract extension.
Terms are not yet known. Brown, Pro Football Focus' sixth-rated tackle and second-best left tackle in 2011, was entering the final year of his rookie contract. After the Texans allowed starters Mike Brisiel and Eric Winston to walk in the offseason, locking up Matt Schaub's blind-side protector up became a necessity. Expect Brown to be part of a top-10 offensive line once again this season.

Brown emerged as one of the top blind-side tackles in the game last season.

Texans LT Duane Brown will retake his starting job from Rashad Butler following Houston's Week 7 bye.
