Johnson (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Green Bay.
Johnson's status was never in any doubt, but it's still encouraging to note that he practiced fully Friday after logging a limited practice Thursday. Even in a matchup where Detroit has historically struggled, Megatron is still a WR1.
Thu Dec 25 201417:34Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) Limited Thursday
Johnson (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, the Lions' official site reports.
Johnson generally receives time off on a weekly basis in order to recharge, but with the NFC North title on the line Sunday at Green Bay, he has yet to take part in team drills this week. Meanwhile, he's a bit off his normal touchdown pace in what has been an abbreviated 2014 campaign, meaning the Packers defense, which has allowed 21 touchdowns to wide receivers this season, may serve up what is required to reach a happy medium.
Thu Dec 25 201415:50Johnson (ankle) returned to practice Thursday
Johnson (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
While Johnson's activity level in unknown, there's little worry regarding his ability to take the field Sunday in Green Bay, where he'll attempt to profit from a defense that sits in a tie for most touchdowns allowed to wide receivers (21) this season.
Wed Dec 24 201415:26Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) No Practice Wednesday
Johnson (ankle) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Johnson, who last missed an official practice on Nov. 19, has played in every game since Week 10. While there's not much to worry about regarding Week 17 availability, an absence is always cause for concern, meaning owners should watch his practice participation closely this week to ensure he's active Sunday in Green Bay.

Johnson (ankle) had six catches on 12 targets for 103 yards during Sunday's 20-14 win over the Bears.
Johnson posted his fifth 100-yard game of the season, and he now has an impressive 1,038 receiving yards in just 12 games. He's got five consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, though his six touchdowns are half his total from last season, which he got in 14 games. Up next is a Week 17 matchup against the Packers at Lambeau Field, with the winner taking home the NFC North title. Johnson had six catches on 10 targets for 82 yards in their previous meeting back in Week 3.
Sun Dec 21 201411:35Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) Active Sunday
Johnson (ankle) is active for Sunday's game at Chicago, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
The Bears' defense has given up 15.5 YPC and nine touchdown receptions to wide receivers in six contests since their Week 9 bye, meaning Johnson is perhaps the surest bet to produce in the penultimate week of the season.
Fri Dec 19 201417:06Johnson (ankle) probable for Sunday's game against Chicago
Johnson (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Chicago.
Johnson practiced all week, so he's ready to at full speed Sunday. Playing against a Chicago defense that has somehow already allowed 33 passing touchdowns, it's easy to argue that Johnson is the top fantasy wideout for Week 16.
Thu Dec 18 201417:24Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) Full Practice Thursday
Johnson (ankle) was a full practice participant Thursday, Detroit Free Press reports.
Johnson has followed the same practice schedule (limited, full, and full) in each of the past three weeks, which will likely come to fruition this week as well. With a floundering Bears squad on tap Sunday -- 14.9 YPC and six touchdown receptions in the past four games -- he's a great bet to replicate his Thanksgiving Day production (11 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns) against the same defense.
Wed Dec 17 201417:28Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) Limited Wednesday
Johnson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
Johnson's ankle concern is seemingly lingering for the remainder of the season, as evidenced by a capped practice in each of the past three Wednesdays. Since his return from a three-game absence, he has either struck gold or struck out, recording three 100-yard outings (plus scores) and three residing between 50 and 60 yards. Nonetheless, he'll focus on manhandling a Bears defense that he took to the woodshed (11 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns) on Thanksgiving Day.

Johnson (ankle) caught 4-of-6 targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 16-14 win against the Vikings.
Johnson shook free on a crossing route for a 23-yard play in the fourth quarter, but was otherwise surprisingly quiet. Matthew Stafford wasn't sharp, however, and the entire Lions' offense had trouble moving the ball and scoring in the red zone. Johnson was targeted on a couple of deep passes though, so it seems like his ankle injury wasn't a factor for his average game. He could bounce back next week against a beatable Bears' secondary.
Sun Dec 14 201415:02Johnson (ankle) active for Sunday's game against Vikings
Johnson (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Johnson's ankle injury is still on the radar, but it has not stopped him from being productive recently. He's still as elite as they come, even against Minnesota's staunch pass defense.
Fri Dec 12 201416:31Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) Probable to Play Sunday
Johnson (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Minnesota.
Johnson's ankle injury hasn't entirely gone away, but he has managed it well enough that it's close to a non-factor, anyway. Johnson practiced all week, including full practices Thursday and Friday, so he's an elite fantasy option as almost always.
Thu Dec 11 201417:08Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) Practices Fully Thursday
Johnson (ankle) practiced fully Thursday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
Johnson's lack of a cap in practice reps all but confirms that his limited showing Wednesday was for maintenance purposes. On Sunday, he'll set his sights on a Vikings defense that has given up 12.6 YPC and five touchdown grabs to wide receivers over the past four games.
Wed Dec 10 201418:21Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) Limited Wednesday
Johnson (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
For the second week in a row, Johnson is kicking it off with a capped showing, but owners should worry little, as his availability for Sunday's contest versus the Vikings isn't in question. With 19 catches for 304 yards and three touchdowns in his past two games, he's a great bet to keep up the pace against a defense that has yielded 12.6 YPC and five touchdown receptions to wideouts in the last four contests.

Johnson (ankle) had eight catches for 158 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-17 win over the Buccaneers.
What a difference a healthy ankle makes. After sitting out for more than a month to rest his ankle in October, Johnson has again looked like an All-Pro, averaging 106.8 yards with four touchdowns in his last five games. With him and Matthew Stafford clicking like this, he's arguably the top fantasy receiver in the game, with a good opportunity to keep the hot streak going next week against the Vikings.
Sun Dec 7 201411:45Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) Active Sunday
Johnson (ankle) is listed as active Sunday against the Buccaneers, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Johnson is a must-start against a Tampa Bay defense that has given up 13.1 YPC and five receiving touchdowns to wideouts over the past six contests.
Fri Dec 5 201416:15Johnson (ankle) probable for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay
Johnson (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.
Johnson practiced all week, including full practices Thursday and Friday, so he looks locked in as a high-level WR1 at home against a vulnerable Tampa Bay defense. There's basically no scenario where a full-strength Megatron should be on fantasy benches, and this week is no exception.
Thu Dec 4 201416:25Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) Full Practice Thursday
Johnson (ankle) practiced fully Thursday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Johnson is a go for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, who have allowed 13.1 YPC and five touchdown catches to opposing wide receivers over the past six contests. Keep in mind, though, that as coach of the Bears, current Tampa Bay boss Lovie Smith faced Johnson 11 times, containing him to merely a pair of 100-yard outings and four total scores.
Wed Dec 3 201419:27Calvin Johnson: (Ankle) Limited Wednesday
Johnson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice, the Lions' official site reports.
After back-to-back middling performances against a pair of stout defenses in the Cardinals and Patriots, Johnson likely breathed a sigh of relief on Thanksgiving Day, with a banged-up Bears secondary on tap. Indeed, he proceeded to reel of 11 catches for 146 yards, marking his second-most productive outing of the season. Since a three-game, midseason respite, Johnson's average outing -- 6.8 catches (on 13.3 targets) for 94 yards -- over the last four contests lines up closely with his career marks, and he's reached the end zone four times during that span. In essence, Megatron is ready and willing to aid the pursuit of fantasy championships.

Johnson (ankle) caught a season-high 11 passes on 16 targets for 146 yards and two TDs in Thursday's 34-17 win over the Bears.
With added rest/prep time in advance of Week 14's game against the Bucs thanks to the Lions' current short week, Johnson approaches the team's December slate looking healthy and poised to produce for his fantasy owners down the stretch.
