Calwell had one catch on one target for one yard Sunday against the Ravens.
Caldwell was wide open on a play toward the end of the first half but quarterback Peyton Manning didn't look his way. Jordan Norwood, who is behind Caldwell on the depth chart, finished with two catches on five targets for 25 yards, while Cody Latimer didn't get a single ball thrown his way. Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas will continue to dominate the touches, so Caldwell's fantasy upside is quite limited.

Caldwell caught both of his targets for 85 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game against the Cardinals.
Caldwell will likely open the season as Denver's No. 4 wide receiver, but he could eventually move up a spot if Cody Latimer doesn't improve upon his lackluster preseason performance. Of course, as a 2014 second-round selection, Latimer should have a pretty long leash to work with.

Caldwell had three catches on four targets for 31 yards Sunday against the Rams.
Caldwell set season-highs in receptions and receiving yards, and he could continue to see his usage increase, as Emmanuel Sanders suffered a concussion Sunday that could keep him out in Week 12 against the Dolphins. Additionally, tight end Julius Thomas was knocked out of the game in the first quarter with an ankle injury, which leaves a big void in the passing game that Caldwell figures to be a part of now.
Sun Oct 12 201412:22Caldwell (knee) active for Sunday's game against Jets
Caldwell (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Caldwell suffered a knee injury last Sunday against the Cardinals, but was able to practice fully all week, which prompted his active status Sunday. Despite being in uniform, there are just too many receiving options available to quarterback Peyton Manning to make Caldwell relevant in most fantasy leagues.

Caldwell is questionable to return after leaving Sunday's game against the Cardinals in the third quarter with a knee injury.
Isaiah Burse could see a few snaps in Caldwell's absence, but the Denver offense shouldn't be much different without its No. 4 wide receiver. Caldwell had no receptions on one target at the time of his exit.

Caldwell failed to catch the only pass thrown his way Sunday against the Chiefs.
Despite Wes Welker (suspended) still out, Caldwell hasn't been able to do much in the passing game. He now has two catches on six targets for 16 yards through two games and is just too unreliable to depend on in most fantasy leagues.

Caldwell caught two passes on five targets for 16 yards Sunday against the Colts.
Caldwell got the start for Wes Welker, who is suspended for the first four games of the season, and he predictably finished with fewer targets than Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Caldwell's fantasy upside is fairly limited even with the increased playing time, and it'll likely decrease more when Welker returns.

Caldwell is starting Sunday against the Colts in place of Wes Welker, who is suspended for the first four games of the season, the Denver Post reports.
Emmanuel Sanders is expected to move into the slot, allowing Caldwell to play out wide opposite Demaryius Thomas. Cody Latimer is also expected to see more playing time, but Caldwell will at least get the start thanks to his experience working with quarterback Peyton Manning.

Caldwell could see an increase in playing time if Emmanuel Sanders moves into the slot in place of Wes Welker, who is suspended for the first four games of the regular season, the Denver Post reports.
The report notes that Sanders and tight end Jacob Tamme could both see time in the slot, and if the former has any success, Caldwell should be able to see time opposite Demaryius Thomas. He'll have to perform well though, as rookie Cody Latimer could also be given a chance to show what he can do. Caldwell got an increase in playing time at the end of last season when Welker suffered a concussion, catching six passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns in Week 15 against the Chargers, although he caught only five passes for 54 yards in the next two games combined, so fantasy owners should be aware of his boom-or-bust potential.

Caldwell caught two passes for 18 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Texans, and Wes Welker was diagnosed with a concussion after the contest, Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports.
The injury carries added significance due to Welker's concussion history. Caldwell is next up to see work in the three-wide formations that Denver often utilizes, but second-round rookie Cody Latimer could also push for some snaps. As of right now, Welker can be considered questionable for Week 1.
Tue Mar 11 201415:08Broncos re-sign WR Andre Caldwell
Broncos re-signed WR Andre Caldwell to a two-year contract.
According to Profootballtalk, the deal is worth a max of $3.45 million. Caldwell's 2014 base salary is likely in the neighborhood of $1 million. A six-year veteran, Caldwell caught just 16 passes last season. Even if Eric Decker walks, Caldwell shouldn't see a major uptick in production.

Sun Feb 2 201422:40Andre Caldwell held catch-less in SB48
Andre Caldwell was held without a catch in Super Bowl 48.
The Broncos relied on three-receiver and two-tight end sets against Seattle, so fourth wideout Caldwell was limited to special teams. An impending free agent, Caldwell won't be a hot commodity on the open market. Turning 29 in April, the journeyman finished the 2013 regular season with 16 catches for 200 yards and three TDs.

Sun Jan 19 201418:31Caldwell held to 1 catch for 11 yards
Andre Caldwell caught one pass for 11 yards in Denver's AFC Championship game win over New England.
Caldwell played only in four-receiver packages, coming off the bench behind Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, and Wes Welker. His lone catch came with about one minute left in the first half, helping to set up Matt Prater's second field goal. Caldwell now has two catches for 26 yards through two playoff games.

Andre Caldwell caught one pass for 15 yards in Denver's Divisional Round win over San Diego.
Playing in sub-package sets, fourth receiver Caldwell caught a 15-yard pass on Denver's opening drive. He wasn't heard from again. Caldwell will continue to be a lightly used reserve when the Broncos host the Patriots.

Sun Dec 29 201321:01Caldwell plays minor role vs. Raiders
Andre Caldwell had three catches for 42 yards in Week 17 against the Raiders.
Caldwell got the majority of his yardage in the second half after the Broncos rested their starters. He'll go back to being the No. 4 receiver with Wes Welker (concussion) fully expected to be cleared for the playoffs. Caldwell finishes the 2013 season with 16 catches for 200 yards and three touchdowns.

Sun Dec 22 201316:30Caldwell held to 12 yards on 2 receptions
Andre Caldwell was held to two catches for 12 yards in Denver's Week 16 win over the Texans.
The Broncos used more two-tight end sets with Jacob Tamme and Julius Thomas in this one, rather than flooding the field with wideouts. Caldwell turned in a dud. Expect him to get more playing time in the regular season finale against Oakland, especially if the AFC West champs rest their starters.

Thu Dec 19 201308:21Andre Caldwell draws praise from Manning
Andre Caldwell is tentatively expected to be the Broncos third receiver again Sunday.
Wes Welker has not been medically cleared to even practice yet, so the Broncos are prepping Caldwell for a similar role he had in Week 15. On that night, he played on 68.5 percent of the snaps and recorded a 6/59/2 line. "I thought Bubba Caldwell played really well," Peyton Manning said. "Great route on that first touchdown, did a great job getting in the end zone on a play he hasn't [worked] that much, so that's a good job knowing what to do, being in his playbook. We'll count on him this week if he has to play." Caldwell will be a risky WR3 because of all weapons in the Broncos' offense, but he'll have tons of scoring upside thanks to Manning.

Tue Dec 17 201308:14Andre Caldwell played on 68% of snaps
Andre Caldwell played on 37-of-54 snaps (68.5 percent) in the Week 15 loss to the Chargers.
Instead of going back to Jacob Tamme (nine snaps) as their slot man, the Broncos chose to roll with three-wide sets featuring Caldwell. It resulted in a 6/59/2 performance. Considering how well Caldwell played, it's likely Denver would install a similar game plan if Wes Welker (concussion) sits out again. The Broncos face the 2-12 Texans on Sunday and the Slot Machine's status remains murky. He didn't practice Monday.

Fri Dec 13 201300:33Welker fill-in Caldwell goes 6/59/2 in loss
Filling in for Wes Welker in the slot, Broncos WR Andre Caldwell caught six passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns in Denver's Week 15 loss to the Chargers.
Pre-game speculation had either TE Jacob Tamme or TE Virgil Green picking up Welker's slack, but instead it was Caldwell, who drew a team-leading 10 targets. His scores were the Broncos' only two touchdowns of the night, and his first since Week 1. It was a random, albeit solid, effort for a player who entered Week 15 with all of five catches. Caldwell stepped up when his team needed him, but with Welker likely returning for Week 16, he remains miles from fantasy relevance.

Fri Sep 6 201301:58Andre Caldwell catches 28-yard score
Broncos WR Andre Caldwell caught a 28-yard touchdown in Denver's Week 1 win over the Ravens.
It was his only target of the game. As NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal observed, Caldwell only appeared to be in the game because Demaryius Thomas was gassed. He might not take the field in Week 2.
