Woodson (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears, Bay Area News Group reports.
Woodson -- who has 17 tackles and one pick in three games to date -- played through his shoulder issues last week and we'd expect that to be the case once again Sunday, though to be sure, his IDP owners will still want to verify his status before the Raiders' 1:00 ET kickoff.

Woodson recorded six tackles (four solo) and an interception in Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Browns.
Woodson has now played in two straight games after dislocating his shoulder in Week 1, and he came up big for the Raiders on Sunday. The 18-year veteran recorded the only interception of the game for either team to help move Oakland to 2-1. Woodson has been a ball hawk his whole career and continues to make plays on a weekly basis.
Tue Sep 22 201508:23Despite dislocating shoulder in Week 1 opener
Despite dislocating his shoulder in the Week 1 opener, Woodson was able to suit up on Sunday and played 81 of the Raiders' 82 defensive snaps in a win over the Ravens, Scott Bair of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reports.
Many believed after the injury happened last week that Woodson would need to miss multiple weeks and wondered if it would mark the end of his career. However, the 18-year veteran pushed all week to practice and insisted that he could play on Sunday, which is exactly what he did. Woodson finished with four tackles (three solo), and it looks like he'll be active again in Week 3.

Woodson (shoulder) is listed as active Sunday versus the Ravens.
Although Woodson will defy all odds and play one week removed from dislocating his right shoulder, a potentially limited snap count and the risk of aggravation isn't an amenable recipe for IDP success. Taylor Mays is present to scoop up any available reps at strong safety.

Woodson (shoulder) was limited again at Friday's walk-through practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Scott Bair of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reports.
Woodson has been lobbying to play after dislocating his right shoulder against the Bengals last Sunday, but he's far from a lock to do so, with the Raiders potentially sitting him this weekend, with the long haul in mind. If Woodson ends up being inactive Sunday, Taylor Mays is expected to start at strong safety for the team.
Thu Sep 17 201517:17Four days after suffering shoulder separation
Four days after suffering a shoulder separation, Woodson practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday, ESPN.com reports.
Though it looked like Woodson would probably miss time after hurting his shoulder in Week 1, coach Jack Del Rio relayed that "of course" Woodson is pushing to play Sunday against the Ravens. Whether that actually happens remains to be seen, but the veteran safety has yet to be ruled out for the contest at this stage.
Thu Sep 17 201512:47Woodson limited participant in Wednesday's practice
Woodson was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Scott Blair of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reports.
He was seen stretching and participating in individual drills with the secondary, however he wasn't wearing pads or a helmet. Woodson dislocated his shoulder during a tackle Sunday and wasn't given an initial timetable to return. That being said, Woodson's activity during practice could be seen as a promising sign regarding his status for Sunday, however Blair cautions that would be a very optimistic view considering Woodson's age and the severity of the injury.

Woodson has been diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder and doesn't have a timetable for a return, Josina Anderson of ESPN reports.
Woodson kicked off his 18th professional season with seven tackles (five solo), but on the last one, he sustained the injury. With a diagnosis in hand, expect him to join fellow starting safety Nate Allen (knee) on the sideline for a significant amount of time. The Raiders will likely make a signing or two to bolster the secondary this week, but 2015 seventh-round pick Dexter McDonald is currently in line to take over at free safety.
Mon Sep 14 201513:16Woodson scheduled to undergo MRI on injured shoulder Monday
Woodson is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his injured shoulder Monday, ESPN reports.
Woodson injured his shoulder after making a tackle late in Sunday's blowout loss to the Bengals. While the severity of the ailment in unknown right now, the results on Monday's test should offer a more definitive diagnosis. Considering fellow starting safety Nate Allen is feared to have suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's game, the Raiders will certainly hope Woodson's injury isn't serious.

Woodson left Sunday's game with an apparent shoulder injury after making a tackle late in the game.
The Raiders were down 20 with just a minute left in the game which makes you question why Woodson was in the game to begin with. After coming up to make a hit on an off-tackle run, Woodson was slow to get up. He walked off the field under his own power, but did seem to be laboring quite a bit as his arm hung in an awkward position. If Woodson is to miss any extended time, it would be a big loss to a defense that gave up 33 points in the opener with him on the field.

Woodson has signed a contract extension that will keep him with the Raiders through the 2015 season, the team's official site reports.
The veteran safety is coming off a season in which he recorded a career-high 113 tackles and four picks, so even at age 38, Woodson remains firmly on the IDP radar.
Wed Jun 4 201408:57Charles Woodson open to playing beyond 2014
Charles Woodson declined to say this will be his last NFL season.
Woodson will turn 38 in October, but was a respectable every-down safety for the Raiders last year. It's conceivable that he could actually play into 2015 if he can sustain health. Woodson did reiterate that he'll only play for the Raiders, the same line he took while waffling with retirement after last season.

Wed Mar 19 201423:37Raiders and Woodson agree on 1-year deal
Raiders re-signed S Charles Woodson on a one-year deal.
The 37-year-old Woodson was an effective every-down safety in 2013, recording 97 tackles, one interception and three forced fumbles. Woodson is obviously on the tail end of his career, but he has shown few signs of slowing down and should continue to provide a steady, veteran presence in the Oakland secondary.

Fri Feb 28 201418:04Talks between Raiders, Woodson hit 'snag'
CSN Bay Area reports contract talks between the Raiders and free agent S Charles Woodson have hit a "snag."
It sounds like the Raiders are offering another incentive-heavy one-year deal, while Woodson wants a "more straightforward contract" entering his age-38 season. Woodson has threatened to retire if the club doesn't meet his demands. Woodson is obviously on the tail end of his career, but was one of Oakland's top defenders in 2013. He seems 50:50 to play football again at this point.

Thu Feb 27 201419:19Free agent Charles Woodson open to retirement
Free agent Charles Woodson is open to retirement if he doesn't like the offers he receives in free agency.
"If the right numbers don't come across, for myself and from the team's standpoint, then (retirement) is a serious consideration," Woodson said Thursday. "I do plan on playing another year. Hopefully something can get done with the Raiders, but if not then I've got to take a real hard look at this last year being the last one." Playing on a one-year, $1.8 million deal, Woodson was an every-down safety in 2013, notching 97 tackles, one interception and three forced fumbles. He'll likely have to be willing to be a part-time player if he's to return in 2014.

Mon Feb 24 201418:24Raiders want to re-sign Charles Woodson
Coach Dennis Allen said the Raiders would like to re-sign free agent Charles Woodson.
"I think he's a guy we'd like to hopefully bring back," Allen said. "There's a business side to anything that you do, but I thought from a leadership perspective and really from a playing perspective, I thought he brought a lot to the table." There's mutual interest between the two sides. Woodson, 37, won't command a multi-year deal. He's our No. 12 free-agent safety.

Thu Jan 16 201417:23Raiders looking to bring back Charles Woodson
Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie said the team would like to re-sign free agent FS Charles Woodson.
The interest is mutual, as Woodson has already stated he wants to play in 2014 and would prefer to re-sign with the Raiders. The 37-year-old started all 16 games and graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 28 safety this season. He should only require an incentive-laden one-year deal.

Fri Dec 13 201309:12Charles Woodson wants to re-sign with Raiders
Charles Woodson says he wants to play in 2014 and would prefer to re-sign with the Raiders.
"I want to play again," Woodson said. "I think this is the only place that I would play. I do plan on coming back and playing for the Raiders. If that didn't happen, then I think I would have to decide if I want to go somewhere else for another year. If I'm wanted here, I'm coming back." The 37-year-old has started all 13 games and is Pro Football Focus' No. 38 safety this season.
