The veteran will once again play through the pain of his shoulder injury as the Raiders look to win their third game in a row.

Woodson -- who has 17 tackles and one pick in three games to date -- played through his shoulder issues last week and we'd expect that to be the case once again Sunday, though to be sure, his IDP owners will still want to verify his status before the Raiders' 1:00 ET kickoff.

Woodson recorded six tackles (four solo) and an interception in Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Browns.

Woodson has now played in two straight games after dislocating his shoulder in Week 1, and he came up big for the Raiders on Sunday. The 18-year veteran recorded the only interception of the game for either team to help move Oakland to 2-1. Woodson has been a ball hawk his whole career and continues to make plays on a weekly basis.

Despite dislocating his shoulder in the Week 1 opener, Woodson was able to suit up on Sunday and played 81 of the Raiders' 82 defensive snaps in a win over the Ravens, Scott Bair of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reports.

Many believed after the injury happened last week that Woodson would need to miss multiple weeks and wondered if it would mark the end of his career. However, the 18-year veteran pushed all week to practice and insisted that he could play on Sunday, which is exactly what he did. Woodson finished with four tackles (three solo), and it looks like he'll be active again in Week 3.

Although Woodson will defy all odds and play one week removed from dislocating his right shoulder, a potentially limited snap count and the risk of aggravation isn't an amenable recipe for IDP success. Taylor Mays is present to scoop up any available reps at strong safety.

He was seen stretching and participating in individual drills with the secondary, however he wasn't wearing pads or a helmet. That being said, Woodson's activity during practice could be seen as a promising sign regarding his status for Sunday, however Blair cautions that would be a very optimistic view considering Woodson's age and the severity of the injury.

Woodson kicked off his 18th professional season with seven tackles (five solo), but on the last one, he sustained the injury. With a diagnosis in hand, expect him to join fellow starting safety Nate Allen (knee) on the sideline for a significant amount of time. The Raiders will likely make a signing or two to bolster the secondary this week, but 2015 seventh-round pick Dexter McDonald is currently in line to take over at free safety.

After coming up to make a hit on an off-tackle run, Woodson was slow to get up. He walked off the field under his own power, but did seem to be laboring quite a bit as his arm hung in an awkward position. If Woodson is to miss any extended time, it would be a big loss to a defense that gave up 33 points in the opener with him on the field.

The veteran safety is coming off a season in which he recorded a career-high 113 tackles and four picks, so even at age 38, Woodson remains firmly on the IDP radar.
