Fri Jun 22 201213:06Earnest Graham admits he's likely done
Free agent Earnest Graham admitted that he's likely played his last NFL game.
Graham is 32 and coming off an Achilles' tendon tear. Although he says he's now healthy, he'll probably need a rash of injuries to strike the running back position during training camp before he gets a call.

Tue May 15 201218:38Earnest Graham may be done with football
Free agent Earnest Graham (Achilles surgery) would only consider returning for the 2012 season under "the right opportunity."
Graham estimates that he's 75-80 percent recovered after dealing with complications from surgery when he had a reaction to sutures and developed an infection. Graham isn't ready yet for football activities. At 32, there's a good chance he's played his last NFL game.

Sat Dec 17 201111:58Earnest Graham thinks he'll be ready by May
Earnest Graham (torn Achilles, injured reserve) believes he'll be "fully healed" by May.
That would be an extremely quick recovery after Graham tore his Achilles just six weeks ago, but he's already shed his crutches, and says he'll soon begin "aggressively rehabbing." A free agent to be, Graham will have to prove he's 100 percent healthy to draw any interest on the open market heading into his age-32 season.

Tue Oct 25 201116:13Bucs place Earnest Graham on I.R.
Buccaneers placed RB Earnest Graham (torn Achilles') on injured reserve, ending his season.
Graham will require surgery to repair the Achilles, putting his career in jeopardy heading into his age-32 season. A free agent in 2012, Graham will draw little interest on the open market coming off a major injury. According to the Pewter Report, rookie Mossis Madu is expected to get the call over fellow practice squadder Chad Spann to replace Graham on the roster.

Sun Oct 23 201116:42Report: Earnest Graham tears Achilles' tendon
ProFootballTalk.com reports Bucs RB Earnest Graham has been diagnosed with a torn Achilles' tendon.
Graham was initially diagnosed with an ankle injury, but a torn Achilles would be consistent with the untouched manner in which he went down. It's a devastating injury for the 31-year-old passing down back, and one that could very possibly end his career. There will now be immense pressure on LeGarrette Blount to return after the Bucs' Week 8 bye, especially after Kregg Lumpkin showed nothing in Graham's absence. The Bucs will likely scour the open market for a veteran replacement. Graham should end up on injured reserve later this week.

Sun Oct 23 201113:27Graham helped to locker room in first quarter
Earnest Graham was forced from Sunday's game against the Bears with an apparent right leg injury.
Graham crumpled to the ground untouched as he attempted to make a cut. His right leg appeared to buckle, and he could put no weight on it as he was helped to the locker room. Kregg Lumpkin is now the only healthy running back for a Bucs team already missing LeGarrette Blount. Graham's chances of returning appear doubtful.

Thu Oct 20 201121:43Earnest Graham to be a workhorse again
Earnest Graham is expected to "provide the bulk of the rushing attempts" again this week versus the Bears in London.
LeGarrette Blount (knee) won't play after missing a second straight practice. NFL Films guru Greg Cosell points out that Graham's skill-set may actually be a better fit for the Bucs offense, and wouldn't be surprised to see more touches for the veteran even after Blount returns. Rotoworld ranks Graham as the No. 19 fantasy back for Week 7.

Wed Oct 12 201117:23Freeman: Graham will get majority of carries
Josh Freeman confirmed that Earnest Graham will handle the bulk of tailback duties with LeGarrette Blount (knee) not playing in Week 6.
"You guys know Earnest has done everything for us," Freeman said. "Whether it's playing fullback, being the third-down back, and now this week he's going to get the majority of the reps, the majority of the carries. I mean, he's done it before ... he's a guy we know can get it done." Graham is averaging 4.82 YPC over the past two seasons, but it's a very small sample size (38 carries). He'll be more attractive in PPR than standard leagues this week.

Tue Oct 11 201110:49Earnest Graham to be bell cow vs. Saints?
Coach Raheem Morris said that Earnest Graham will be his feature back if LeGarrette Blount (knee) misses Sunday's game against the Saints.
Kregg Lumpkin would serve as the third-down specialist and rookie Allen Bradford may get some change-of-pace looks. But Graham figures to push for 15-18 touches as a power back that Josh Freeman feels comfortable checking down to. Graham is on the radar as a low-upside plug-n-play in PPR formats this week.

Sun Oct 9 201120:00Graham (hamstring) plays against the Niners
Earnest Graham (hamstring, probable) played against the Niners on Sunday, and finished with five carries for 30 yards but did not have a single reception.
It's usually the other way around for him, and one would think he'd have had some extra targets on the wrong end of a Bucs blowout loss. Should LeGarrette Blount's knee injury cause him to miss any time, then Graham will be worth a look as a low-upside PPR play. Kregg Lumpkin, who had just 11 total yards today, would be a candidate to share carries, as well.

Fri Oct 7 201117:42Earnest Graham listed as probable
Bucs RB Earnest Graham (hamstring, probable) returned to a full practice Friday.
Graham and Kregg Lumpkin figure to share third-down snaps against the 49ers in Week 5. Neither is remotely a viable option in fantasy football leagues.

Thu Oct 6 201117:54Earnest Graham limited on Thursday
Earnest Graham was limited in Buccaneers practice Thursday with a hamstring injury.
It's a new injury for Graham, who was not on the Bucs' Wednesday injury report. It may go a long way toward explaining the coaching staff's positive comments about Kregg Lumpkin this week. Neither backup is a fantasy flex option beyond deep PPR leagues.

Tue Oct 4 201101:44Graham more valuable as receiver than runner
Earnest Graham carried the ball twice for 24 yards and caught three passes for 27 yards in Week 4 on Monday.
More valuable as a receiver than as a runner, he has 143 receiving yards on 23 catches this season compared to just 54 rushing yards. In a PPR league he could be worth a look, but with little to no upside we think you can do better.

Sun Sep 18 201118:12Earnest Graham gets eight touches in win
Bucs FB/FB Earnest Graham rushed three times for 18 yards and caught five passes for 21 yards in the team's Week 2 win.
Graham's snaps were again more plentiful than they'll usually be with the Bucs playing from behind after a 17-0 first-half deficit. We suppose he's worth a look in deep PPR leagues, but Graham is a plodding runner and No. 2 on the depth chart behind LeGarrette Blount. He's far from a viable fantasy option.

Sun Sep 11 201118:22Earnest Graham racks up eight catches
Earnest Graham rushed six times for 13 yards and added eight catches for 58 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions.
The Bucs completely abandoned LeGarrette Blount and the running game as they fell behind in the second half. That led to a ton of check downs to Blount as the Lions gave up the underneath patterns. Graham will only be a viable PPR play when the Bucs fall behind -- something that's extremely difficult to project.

Mon Aug 29 201115:28Earnest Graham favored for third-down role
Coach Raheem Morris confirmed Monday that Earnest Graham is in the driver's seat to be the Bucs' third-down back this season.
He's ahead of Kregg Lumpkin, and LeGarrette Blount is no longer involved in the camp battle. Graham has lost several steps at 31 1/2 years old, but he can blitz protect and is a coaching staff favorite. Through three preseason games, Graham has just three carries but five catches for 52 yards.

Sun Aug 7 201116:01Earnest Graham handling 3rd-down work
In addition to handling backup chores, Earnest Graham is also running as the Bucs' third-down back early in camp.
The Bucs have really left their flank unprotected here. Graham can catch the ball, but he's not going to make many defenders miss at age 31. Starter LeGarrette Blount still struggles in pass protection and doesn't possess the skill-set to handling third-down duties. The coaching staff is high on Kregg Lumpkin, but he's never been able to stay healthy.

Thu Aug 4 201110:58Graham the favorite for the backup RB job
Earnest Graham is the current favorite for the Bucs' backup running back job.
With Cadillac Williams now officially gone, the battle is on between Graham, Kregg Lumpkin and Allen Bradford. Graham has relinquished his fullback responsibilities to Erik Lorig, turning his full attention to the running game. But at age 31, we wouldn't have high expectations for Graham even if starter LeGarrette Blount were to go down.

Mon Aug 1 201111:58Graham, Lumpkin to battle for third-down gig
Bucs GM Mark Dominik said the third-down running back job is up for grabs.
Earnest Graham enters camp as the leader, but Kregg Lumpkin figures to put up a stiff fight. It's worth noting that the Bucs have already paid Graham his $1.15 million roster bonus and only have to pay him $2 million in base salary. It's unlikely he'll be released now.

Mon Jul 18 201109:45Graham could be dumped by Bucs
ESPN's Pat Yasinskas believes Earnest Graham is a candidate for release.
Graham is 31 and scheduled to count $3.05 million against the cap. While the Bucs have plenty of room under the projected $120 million cap, it's a lot to pay for a fullback. There would be no cap hit if the Bucs do dump Graham.
