Jones had five catches for 61 yards on eight targets in Week 5's win over the Seahawks.
Jones hooked up for a big play with Andy Dalton on the Bengals opening drive, but was limited to light production the rest of the game. The Bengals were trying to avoid Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas, and often that meant they went to someone other than Jones.

Jones was held to one catch for four yards and one carry for six yards in Week 4's win over the Chiefs.
Jones was targeted just twice, as Andy Dalton effectively spread the ball around to multiple targets. Jones was targeted on one other deep ball, that he dropped.

Jones caught five of his eight targets for 94 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Ravens.
After a pair of relatively quiet weeks, Jones set season-highs in targets, catches and yards in Sunday's game. He now has scored in back-to-back games, illustrating the red zone skills that earned him 10 touchdowns in his last full season. Although Cincinnati generally uses a run-first approach, quarterback Andy Dalton has started the season in exceptional form and Jones could stand to benefit. Week 4 will pit Jones and company against the Chiefs, who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season.

Jones caught just two passes for 48 yards Sunday against the Chargers, but one of them was for a touchdown. He was targeted five times by Andy Dalton.
Jones was on the field for 53 snaps, more than teammate Mohamed Sanu (27 snaps). The Bengals face Baltimore in Week 3, and the Ravens gave up over 300 passing yards to the Raiders in Week 2, so Jones might be able to contribute a little more.

Jones was pretty quiet in the Bengals' Week 1 win over the Raiders, catching two balls for 19 yards on three targets.
The game flow partially dictated Jones's quiet game - the Bengals were ahead 24-0 at halftime and 33-0 in the third quarter and didn't need to throw downfield that often. He'll likely be in greater demand in Week 2 against the Chargers.

Jones caught both of his targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against the Bears.
After Andy Dalton (neck) left the game early, Jones caught a deep in route from A.J. McCarron in the second quarter, working his way through the defense for a 31-yard touchdown. His night could have been even bigger, as a holding penalty negated a would-be reception of approximately 40 yards. Though he started off slow at training camp while bouncing back from a foot injury that cost him all of last season, Jones appears to have moved past Mohamed Sanu for the No. 2 wide receiver job. The role may not come with a lot of looks in an offense centered around the running game and A.J. Green, but Jones did put up a 51-712-10 receiving line on just 80 targets under somewhat similar circumstances in 2013.
Wed Aug 12 201520:10Jones has yet to fit in full practice during training camp
Jones has yet to fit in a full practice during training camp, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Jones has increased his reps with the second- and third-team offenses through the first week-plus of camp, but Wednesday's joint practice with the Giants featured his initial run with the first team. As the wideout gets further removed from surgery to remove bone chips in foot and ankle, he should garner a more consistent workload as the preseason slate ramps up.

Jones appears past the foot and ankle injuries that sidelined him last season.
The 25-year-old wideout required surgery to remove bone chips, but the Cincinnati Enquirer relays that Jones appeared 100 percent healthy during the Bengals' offseason program and is on track to be full-go once training camp opens up later this month. For his part, Jones notes with regard to the injuries that kept him out of action last season, "we looked at it, got it fixed, and it's not there anymore...it was an unfortunate situation, but it's behind me." Assuming no injury setbacks, Jones is a prime bounce-back candidate in 2015, given that when healthy in 2013, he recorded 51 catches for 712 yards and 10 TDs, while emerging as the team's No. 2 wideout option behind A.J. Green. Jones' prime competition for wideout targets that don't go Green's way will be Mohamed Sanu, but it's not difficult to envision a scenario in which Jones re-establishes his key role in the team's offense and thus reclaims fantasy utility in 2015.
Tue Jun 2 201512:50Jones (ankle/foot) practicing Tuesday
Jones (ankle/foot) is practicing Tuesday, ESPN's Coley Harvey reports.
Jones was impressive in 2013, catching 51-of-80 targets (63.8 percent) for 712 yards (8.9 YPT) and 10 touchdowns. He then missed all of 2014 with a broken foot/ankle, allowing Mohamed Sanu to take over as the No. 2 wide receiver. While Sanu had a few moments, particularly on trick plays, he largely disappeared in the second half of the season, often struggling to separate from defensive backs. Sanu still figures to have a role in the offense, but his performance last season leaves Jones as the clear favorite to start across from A.J. Green. Of course, that doesn't mean Jones will see a steady supply of targets, as the Bengals largely want to build their offense around Green and the running game. Also, TE Tyler Eifert is a breakout candidate, and RB Giovani Bernard is a big part of the passing game.

Jones (ankle) has been given the green light to do a full workout program to start preparing for official offseason workouts and minicamp.
Jones's absence was a big blow to the Bengals offense, especially after they also lost A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert and Jermaine Gresham at various points during the season.
Tue Oct 14 201415:14Marvin Jones: (Ankle) Placed On Injured Reserve
Jones (ankle) was placed on the Bengals' injured reserve list Tuesday, ruling him out for this season, ESPN reports.
Jones' 2014 season comes to a close with zero games played, after a broken foot during training camp was compounded by an ankle injury upon his return to practice this month. The third-year wideout's ankle problem reportedly dates back to February and caused Jones to visit a foot specialist Tuesday in North Carolina. Following 51 receptions for 712 yards and 10 touchdowns in a breakout year last season, Jones will now be forced to prepare for a comeback year in 2015. As a result, Mohamed Sanu should continue to enjoy an expanded role in the Bengals' offense, particularly while A.J. Green (toe) remains sidelined.

Coach Marvin Lewis relayed Monday that he isn't seeing any progress with Jones (ankle), Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
The same report refers to A.J. Green (toe) as day-to-day, but at this stage, it appears that of the two, Jones is further away from a return to action.

At this stage, there is no clear timetable for Jones' return, with the Bengals' official site suggesting that surgery could end up being considered for the wideout, who has yet to play this season due to foot and ankle issues.
Such an outcome is speculative, but what is clear is that Jones, is iffy, at best, for Week 7's contest against the Colts, a game in which the Bengals are slated to be without top wideout A.J. Green.
Sat Oct 11 201410:20Marvin Jones: (Ankle) Won't Play Sunday
Jones (ankle) has been officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
With the availability of A.J. Green (toe) already in doubt, the confirmed absence of Jones ensures extra targets available for Mohamed Sanu. Additionally, the Bengals will almost certainly find extra snaps for Brandon Tate and Dane Sanzenbacher.
Fri Oct 10 201414:26Though Jones (ankle) didn't practice this week
Though Jones (ankle) didn't practice this week, he is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, the Bengals' official site reports.
Fellow wideout A.J. Green is also listed as questionable, but at this point it would be a surprise if either player was available for Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff, a notion put forth by the Cincinnati Enquirer. If the duo sits this weekend, the Bengals' Week 6 wideout corps would be in line to be headed by Mohamed Sanu, with Brandon Tate, Dane Sanzenbacher and James Wright also in the mix.
Thu Oct 9 201415:38Jones (ankle) didn't practice Thursday
Jones (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The same applies to A.J. Green, with the duo looking very iffy for Sunday's game against the Panthers. We'll revisit Jones' status Friday, but if both players are out this weekend, the Bengals' Week 6 wideout corps would likely be headed by Mohamed Sanu, Brandon Tate and Dane Sanzenbacher.
Wed Oct 8 201413:59Jones (ankle) did not practice Wednesday
Jones (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
After missing Week 5's game against the Patriots, Jones' status for Sunday's contest against the Panthers is uncertain at this stage, though his prospects could look up as the week progresses if he is able to return to the practice field, in any capacity.
Sun Oct 5 201419:06Jones (ankle) inactive for Sunday's game against Patriots
Jones (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
With Jones out, Mohamed Sanu in line to continue to start at wideout for the Bengals opposite A.J. Green on Sunday.

Jones (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Patriots, ESPN's Coley Harvey reports.
Given the doubtful designation, as well as Sunday's 8:30 ET kickoff, Jones is one to avoid this week, with Mohamed Sanu in line to continue to start at wideout for the Bengals opposite A.J. Green in Week 5.
Fri Oct 3 201415:19Jones (ankle) missed practice again Friday
Jones (ankle) missed practice again Friday, the Bengals' official site reports.
We'll have to see how the Bengals officially list Jones for Sunday night's game against the Patriots, but at this stage, he looks iffy, at best, for the contest, a notion echoed by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
