Mon Oct 5 201512:50Dray not targeted in Sunday's loss to Chargers
Dray was not targeted in Sunday's loss to the Chargers.
Dray and fellow backup tight end Rob Housler were both not utilized in the passing game, despite the Browns needing to lean heavily on the passing attack while behind in the second half. Dray did see a lot more time on the field than Housler, but was largely an afterthought while Gary Barnidge (10 targets) dominated the attention given to the position. Dray appears to be firmly entrenched in the No. 2 spot at the position, and on a mediocre offense, that isn't likely to result in much fantasy production.

Dray caught just one pass on three targets for 13 yards in Sunday's loss to the Jets.
Fellow tight end Gary Barnidge saw two more targets than Dray, who appeared to see more work as a run blocker than a pass catcher. The pecking order for targets essentially followed the same order as the depth chart, with the only other active tight end, Rob Housler, failing to see a single target. There's not a ton of value to find in this position group, but owners in a pinch would be better-suited looking toward Barnidge.
Tue Dec 30 201414:26Dray finished season with 17 catches (28 targets) for 242 yards ...
Dray, who did not catch a pass in Sunday's loss to Baltimore, finished the season with 17 catches (28 targets) for 242 yards and a touchdown.
Dray found himself with an expanded role this season, as starter Jordan Cameron missed six games, but he was unable to turn the extra snaps into steady fantasy production. He outperformed his counterpart, Gary Barnidge, but this was largely because Barnidge missed three straight games towards the end of the season with a ribs injury. Dray could see a similar opportunity in 2015 if the Browns lose Cameron to free agency, but considering that the 27-year-old failed to record more than three receptions in a single contest this year, he can likely be safely avoided in most fantasy formats.

Dray caught three passes on four targets for 45 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bills.
After fellow tight end Gary Barnidge suffered a ribs injury on the Browns' opening drive, Dray was left as the only viable pass-catching option at the tight end position. He may end up a sleeper play in deep leagues in Week 14 if Barnidge and Jordan Cameron (concussion) remain out, but with the latter said to be nearing a return, Dray may be best left on the waiver wire. The 27-year-old hasn't seen more than four targets in a single game this season.

Dray hauled in both of his two targets for 46 yards in Sunday's loss to the Texans.
Dray received the starting nod at tight end in the absence of Jordan Cameron (concussion), and ended up finishing third on the team in receiving yards. His counterpart, Gary Barnidge, actually saw three more targets, but was only able to turn that into one reception for 11 yards. Even with Cameron's availability for the rest of the season uncertain, neither tight end has truly been able to stand out from a fantasy perspective.

Dray will start at tight end in place of Jordan Cameron (concussion) Sunday against the Texans, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Dray will get the starting nod for Cleveland, though this doesn't necessarily bode well for his potential fantasy impact. Over the past three weeks, Dray has been targeted just five times and has hauled in only three receptions. Gary Barnidge -- who caught two passes for 46 yards in Week 10 -- appears to be the frontrunner for the tight end targets.

Dray did not catch a pass on a single target in Thursday's victory over the Bengals.
Dray wasn't a factor in the passing game, but it's not like any Cleveland receiver stood out in an evening dominated by the rushing attack. Fellow tight end Gary Barnidge caught two passes on four targets, so it would seem Dray has fallen behind him on the depth chart. While starter Jordan Cameron remains sidelined with a concussion, it appears Barnidge will be the more productive option, but no tight ends currently on the roster represent high-percentage fantasy plays at the moment.
Sun Nov 2 201423:57Dray hauled in only target for 26-yard gain in Sunday's victory ...
Dray hauled in his only target for a 26-yard gain in Sunday's victory over the Buccaneers.
Dray received the starting nod at tight end, but was targeted three fewer times than his counterpart, Gary Barnidge. Although he gained more yardage, neither option was very effective from a fantasy standpoint, and we would expect this pattern to continue Thursday night against the Bengals. Although the status of starter Jordan Cameron (concussion) remains up in the air for that matchup, it's clear that his absence doesn't necessarily mean a significant uptick in production for either of the Browns' other tight end options.

Dray will start at tight end for the Browns on Sunday against the Buccaneers, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Dray is a more intriguing option than fellow tight end Gary Barnidge in the passing game, but with that being said, it's worth noting that Dray has yet to catch more than three passes in a game this season. With the status of Jordan Cameron (concussion) still looking iffy for next Thursday, Dray could find himself in line for consecutive starts.

Dray caught three passes on four targets for 25 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's victory over the Titans.
Dray was able to make his presence known in the passing game, despite the fact that starter Jordan Cameron was presumably near full strength. Dray's one score came on a well-designed play action play near the goal line, though it wouldn't be wise to expect consistent red zone targets from the tight end moving forward. Cameron remains the team's clear No. 1 tight end, a fact that was further illustrated by his seven targets in Sunday's contest.

Dray caught one pass for five yards on two targets Sunday against the Saints.
Dray's only targets came in the first quarter, and after that, the backup tight end was used primarily as a blocker, with Gary Barnidge serving as the main threat in the passing game. Barnidge outperformed Dray in every statistical category that matters in fantasy, hauling in four passes on four targets for 41 yards. Browns' coach Mike Pettine still isn't sure about starter Jordan Cameron's (shoulder) chances of playing in Week 3, and if he's forced to miss another game, it looks as if Barnidge, and not Dray, would be the main fantasy option to target. However, neither player would have much fantasy utility with Cameron back in the mix.
Wed Sep 10 201416:55Dray could see more offensive reps Week 2 against Saints
Dray could see more offensive reps Week 2 against the Saints, as starter Jordan Cameron is currently day-to-day with a shoulder injury, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Dray saw 50 snaps on offense last week against the Steelers, which was the most among all Browns' tight ends. Both Dray and Gary Barnidge each saw two targets in the passing game as a result of Cameron's absence, but Dray was the more effective option, hauling in both passes for 30 total yards receiving. Prospective fantasy owners should temper their expectations, however, as other than a five-catch effort in Week 2 of 2013, Dray has never logged more than three receptions in an NFL game.
Tue Aug 5 201418:30Dray sat out Tuesday's practice due to shoulder injury
Dray sat out Tuesday's practice due to a shoulder injury, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Dray remains behind Pro Bowler Jordan Cameron and Gary Barnidge on the Cleveland depth chart that was released Tuesday. He'll attempt to climb to the No. 2 position by the end of the preseason, but isn't expected to see many targets in the offense this season serving behind Cameron.
Thu Mar 13 201414:04Jim Dray signs with Browns
Browns signed TE Jim Dray.
At 6'5/255, Dray can be a nice blocking complement to move tight end Jordan Cameron. Dray set career-highs with 26 catches for 215 yards and two touchdowns for Arizona last year.

Sun Oct 6 201319:56Jim Dray scores red-zone TD against Carolina
Cardinals TE Jim Dray caught two passes for 13 yards and a touchdown in Week 5 against Carolina.
The Cardinals are using more two-tight end sets than expected under historically two-receiver coach Bruce Arians. Dray isn't a fantasy option, but he has benefited with more playing time opposite Rob Housler, and reached pay dirt from seven yards out in garbage time against the Panthers.

Sun Sep 15 201320:24Jim Dray goes for 31 yards on 5 catches
Cardinals TE Jim Dray caught five passes for 31 yards in Week 2 against the Lions.
Dray's first Rotoworld blurb since November of 2010! A former seventh-round pick out of Stanford, Dray saw seven fluky targets on an odd day for the Cardinals' passing game. The Cards tentatively expect Rob Housler back from his high ankle sprain in Week 3, which will ensure Dray remains fantasy-irrelevant.

Tue Jan 29 201323:51Dray hits $55,000 escalator for 2013
Cardinals TE Jim Dray's 2013 base salary increased from $575,000 to $630,000 after Dray hit escalators in his rookie deal.
Dray has appeared in 39 games over his first three seasons, catching just seven passes for 87 yards. As the third tight end in Arizona, he's mainly used as a blocker and on special teams.

Fri Nov 26 201009:11Rookie TE Dray moves into starting lineup
Rookie TE Jim Dray got his first start of the season last week at Kansas City.
Dray earned a bigger role by excelling on special teams, but it was an uneven debut as a starter. He failed to record a catch on just one target, as the Cardinals don't utilize tight ends in the passing attack.

Sat Sep 4 201008:58Jim Dray makes the final roster
With Friday's release of Anthony Becht, rookie Jim Dray has all but solidified his chances of making the final roster.
Dray was injury prone throughout his college career, but seems to have defied all odds and made the team. The seventh rounder won't have any fantasy impact.

Thu Aug 5 201001:16Jim Dray out with a quadriceps tear
Cardinals rookie TE Jim Dray hasn't practiced in training camp due to a quadriceps tear.
At this point, it'd be a pretty big shock if Dray made the team. A seventh-round flier pick from Stanford, Dray's football career has been marred by injuries.
