Jones-Quartey could make for a decent temporary option in deeper IDP formats, as Rolle is on pace for 92 tackles, despite missing most of last week's game.

Rolle came out of Sunday's game with an ankle injury, but despite clean X-rays, he has yet to practice this week. If he's eventually ruled out, Harold Jones-Quartey is the logical candidate to fill in at strong safety.

X-rays on Rolle's foot came back clean after he was forced out of Sunday's win over the Raiders due to injury, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

It looks like Rolle avoided a serious injury after he left the locker room sporting a walking boot Sunday, but his status for this week's game against the Chiefs remains in some peril. Perhaps in anticipation of Rolle sitting out Sunday, the Bears signed Sherrod Martin on Tuesday to add depth to their safety ranks.

Instead, it's more likely Rolle would see his turnover total decline after he produced nine interceptions and forced two fumbles in the past two seasons.

The strong safety saw about a half of action and finished second on the team in tackles. After inking a three-year deal in the offseason, Rolle will be called upon to anchor a young and rather inexperienced secondary, and represents the Bears' top IDP option after recording over 87 tackles and at least one interception in each of the last five seasons.

Rolle agreed to a three-year, $11.25 million contract with the Bears on Wednesday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

Rolle, who tallied 87 tackles (71 solo) and three interceptions last season, will head to Chicago after spending the last five seasons with the Giants. He figures to take over the starting strong safety role in the Windy City.
