Tue Aug 27 201315:04Julius Pruitt among Dolphins' cuts
Dolphins waived WR Michael Clay and LB Michael Clay.
Signed on July 30, Pruitt ended up catching just one preseason pass. This was the fourth straight camp Pruitt has spent with the Dolphins, but he remains stuck on nine regular season appearances, zero of which came in 2012. Pruitt turns 28 in December.

Tue Jul 30 201317:21Dolphins sign wideout Julius Pruitt
Dolphins signed WR Julius Pruitt.
Pruitt beat out Austin Collie and Laurent Robinson for a roster spot. The move does not speak well to Collie and Robinson's health. A training camp lifer in Miami, all nine of Pruitt's career appearances came in 2011. His signing is a band aid until Rishard Matthews (undisclosed) returns.

Tue Jul 30 201316:16Dolphins work out WR Julius Pruitt
Dolphins worked out free agent WR Julius Pruitt.
Julius Pruitt has spent each of the past three camps with the Dolphins, but has appeared in only nine regular season games, notching zero catches. He'd be more of a camp body than a solution to the Dolphins' woes with their fourth and fifth receiver spots.

Thu Aug 16 201217:46Julius Pruitt the favorite for No. 5 WR?
Julius Pruitt appears to have the edge on Marlon Moore, Clyde Gates and Hard Knocks star Chris Hogan for the Dolphins' fifth wide receiver spot.
Undrafted out of tiny Ouachita Baptist, Pruitt has spent much of the past two years on Miami's practice squad. The speedy Pruitt has seen quite a bit of time behind Davone Bess in the slot, but his primary contribution has been on special teams.

The Dolphins are expected to give WR Julius Pruitt a legitimate chance to make the team in training camp.

Dolphins promoted WR Julius Pruitt from their practice squad.
A second-year undrafted free agent, Pruitt played college football at little known Ouachita Baptist and ran a forty in the 4.4-flat range coming out. The Dolphins will carry him on the 80-man roster this offseason.

Sat Dec 11 201010:45Pruitt would get called up if Marshall sits
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Omar Kelly expects WR Julius Pruitt to get called up to the 53-man roster if Brandon Marshall (questionable, hamstring).
Marshall is expected to play, so it might be a while before we see Pruitt on the field. The second year pro has yet to be active for an NFL game.
