Saints released WR Greg Camarillo.
Camarillo's second stint with the Saints in 2012 lasted 17 days. He's caught four passes for 44 yards in three games played. The move makes room for Jonathan Vilma to come off the PUP list.

Mon Oct 8 201201:08Greg Camarillo catches four passes in win
Four days after being re-signed, Greg Camarillo notched four catches for 44 yards in New Orleans' Week 5 win over the Chargers.
Not a bad night for a player who was on the street early last week, but it's entirely possible, perhaps likely, Camarillo will be cut loose again once Lance Moore (hamstring) is back to full health. He should be owned in zero percent of fantasy leagues.

The Saints continue to shuffle things around on special teams. Camarillo appeared in two games for New Orleans earlier this season, but didn't record a catch.

Tue Sep 25 201219:42Saints release WR Greg Camarillo
Saints released WR Greg Camarillo.
The Saints signed the veteran possession receiver two weeks ago to add depth while Devery Henderson recovered from a concussion. Now that Henderson is healthy, Camarillo is out of a job.

Tue Sep 11 201218:48Saints re-sign WR Greg Camarillo
Saints re-signed WR Greg Camarillo.
The addition of Camarillo suggests some level of concern over the status of Devery Henderson, who left the Week 1 game with a head injury. Camarillo would be no better than the fifth option in the passing game if he's active this week.

Sun Aug 19 201220:01Saints sign Greg Camarillo to 1-year deal
Saints signed WR Greg Camarillo to a one-year contract.
The 30-year-old Camarillo is purely a possession receiver, but it's still a bit surprising he lasted so long on the "street" free agent market. In New Orleans, he'll vie for a roster spot behind Marques Colston and Lance Moore. Devery Henderson has disappointed, and Adrian Arrington and Nick Toon are hurt.

Tue Feb 28 201216:24Vikings moving on from Greg Camarillo
The Vikings have informed free agent WR Greg Camarillo that he will not be re-signed.
Camarillo managed just 29 catches in two seasons with the Vikings after back-to-back 50-catch seasons in Miami before the 2010 trade for CB Bennie Sapp. Turning 30 in April, Camarillo won't draw much interest on the open market.

Thu Dec 15 201114:32Camarillo returns to limited practice
Greg Camarillo (concussion) returned to a limited practice on Thursday.
He must have passed his baseline tests, which should give him clearance to play in Week 15. Camarillo isn't a fantasy option as the Vikings' third receiver.

Wed Dec 14 201114:36Greg Camarillo diagnosed with concussion
Greg Camarillo (concussion) did not participate in Vikings practice Wednesday.
He suffered the injury in Sunday's loss to the Lions. Although Camarillo has seen an increase in snaps since Michael Jenkins landed on injured reserve, Devin Aromashodu ended up taking Jenkins' spot in the starting lineup. Camarillo can be safely ignored in all formats.

Thu Dec 1 201111:10Greg Camarillo to play in 3-wide sets
Greg Camarillo is expected to play in three-wide formations going forward with Michael Jenkins (knee) done for the year.
Percy Harvin, Devin Aromashodu and Camarillo are now Christian Ponder's top three receivers. Camarillo has just four catches all year and will likely be the odd man out in a lot of two-wide sets. The only one we're trusting here is Harvin, who is averaging 11.0 touches from scrimmage per game over the last three weeks.

Vikings declared WR Greg Camarillo, CB Brandon Burton, S Mistral Raymond, C Brandon Fusco, T DeMarcus Love, LB Xavier Adibi, and DE De'Aundrae Reed inactive for Week 3 against the Lions.
With Percy Harvin (illness) and E.J. Henderson active and Kevin Williams returning from suspension, the Vikings are at full strength heading into an early-season bout against the undefeated Lions.

Vikings declared WR Greg Camarillo, CB Brandon Burton, S Mistral Raymond, C Brandon Fusco, DE Adrian Awasom, T DeMarcus Love, and DE De'Aundrae Reed inactive for Week 2 against the Bucs.
The Vikings aren't any good, but they are healthy. Burton, a rookie, has been slow to pick up the defense. Love, Fusco, Reed, and Raymond are also rookies. Middle linebacker E.J. Henderson is active despite a knee injury.

Mon Sep 5 201113:12Greg Camarillo takes 'significant' pay cut
Vikings WR Greg Camarillo took a "significant" pay cut from his $1.7 million salary to stay on the 53-man roster through final cuts.
The pay cut helped him last as a fifth receiver along with Percy Harvin, Bernard Berrian, Michael Jenkins, and Devin Aromashodu. Camarillo is in the mix for punt return duties in Minnesota. He carries zero fantasy value.

Sun Oct 17 201022:32WR Camarillo scores in Week 6
Vikings WR Greg Camarillo caught two balls for 15 yards and a score in a Week 6 victory over Dallas. He added 24 return yards.
The former Dolphin caught both of his targets, as well as Bret Favre's only scoring strike of the game. Regardless, Camarillo is too far down the Viking pecking order to be gracing fantasy rosters, even in return yardage leagues.
Sun Sep 19 201017:10WR Greg Camarillo recorded just one catch for 3 yards in Vikings...
WR Greg Camarillo recorded just one catch for 3 yards in the Vikings Week 2 loss against Miami.
The wideout, who faced his former team after getting traded from Miami on August 25, was used primarily on punt returns, and wasn't a factor in the passing game. Until he gets more acclimated to the Viking offense, Camarillo won't be consistent enough to be an asset to your team.
Wed Sep 15 201011:58Camarillo played just seven snaps
Greg Camarillo played just seven snaps in Week 1, mostly because he doesn't have the Vikings' scheme down.
Camarillo was with the Vikes for just two weeks before last Thursday's opener. Now with an extended week of practice under his belt, look for him to see significantly more action against his former team, the Dolphins, on Sunday. Camarillo is still waiver wire fodder, but he's someone to keep an eye on with Bernard Berrian struggling.

Fri Sep 10 201017:17Vikings plan to increase Camarillo's role
Vikings coach Brad Childress said Friday that Greg Camarillo's offensive role will grow going forward.
Camarillo outproduced both Bernard Berrian and Percy Harvin on Thursday night. Berrian was particularly unimpressive, with his disinterested play carrying over from the preseason into Week 1. Camarillo probably won't push Berrian out of a starting job, but certainly could be a drain on his targets.

Fri Sep 10 201000:21Camarillo 'leads' Vikes with 29 yards
Greg Camarillo caught one pass for 29 yards against the Saints in Week 1.
The Vikes spent the first three and a half quarters in basic and two-tight end sets, yet Camarillo was still responsible for the majority of the yardage output by the team's wide receivers. Brett Favre immediately looked his way when he entered the game in the fourth quarter, just as he did in preseason action. Expect Camarillo's role to grow going forward.
Sun Sep 5 201015:59Camarillo, Berrian to split punt returns
Vikings coach Brad Childress revealed Sunday that the team plans to use Greg Camarillo and Bernard Berrian on punt returns this year.
Asher Allen will focus on covering the slot defensively, and Percy Harvin will be the kick returner but not a punt return option. Camarillo figures to get the most work on punts because he's not a full-time offensive player. Berrian, the Vikes' starting split end, will probably only used for spot duty.

Sat Sep 4 201010:55Greg Camarillo to be Vikings punt returner?
With Darius Reynaud gone, WR Greg Camarillo is expected to compete for punt returns.
Camarillo has been practicing punt returns since being acquired by the team a week ago. CB Asher Allen is also expected to be in the mix, but has reportedly, "not looked comfortable catching punts."
