Tahi was out of football in 2011 after spending five seasons with the Vikings. Jacksonville likes to keep a few fullbacks on the roster, but the 30-year-old is a longshot to stick with Greg Jones, Brock Bolen, Montell Owens already under contract.

Tahi looks the part of a sledgehammering lead blocker, but his bite is much less vicious than his bark. The Vikings could try former college linebacker Ryan D'Imperio in front of Adrian Peterson once preseason workouts begin.

Vikings FB Fahu Tahi left Tuesday's game in the third quarter with a left leg injury.
The injury may have been to Tahi's knee. He was able to walk off, but only with the help of trainers.

Vikings re-signed restricted free agent FB Fahu Tahi to a one-year, $1.176 million contract.
Tahi, entering his age-29 season, has appeared in 31 games over the past two years with seven starts. He's caught 26 passes during that span, but has just three rushes and won't push for playing time as a ball carrier this year.
