Mon Mar 21 2022 | 14:28 | Adley Rutschman Making Good Progress |
Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman (triceps) is making good progress from his right triceps strain, according to manager Brandon Hyde. However, Rutschman hasn't resumed hitting or throwing, but there are no changes in his timeline. It could be another week before the team's top prospect gets back to baseball activities. The 24-year-old is the No. 2 overall prospect in baseball, but because of this injury, he's likely to begin the 2022 season back in the minors. There's a good chance we'll see Rutschman make his major league debut at some point in the first half of the year. Not only is a must-have in dynasty/keeper leagues, but Rutschman will be a popular draft and stash in redraft leagues. |

Wed Mar 16 2022 | 10:32 | Adley Rutschman Out 2-3 Weeks With Triceps Strain |
Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman (triceps) has a right triceps strain and will be shut down for around two to three weeks, according to manager Brandon Hyde. Rutschman is baseball's top prospect heading into the 2022 season and has nothing left to prove in the minor leagues at this point, but his chances to be on Baltimore's Opening Day roster are now slim to none. He may not be ready to resume baseball activities after his two- to three-week timetable, though, so don't be surprised if Rutschman is out a bit longer. The 24-year-old is still worth stashing in AL-only and deeper leagues in fantasy drafts since there's still a good chance he'll be making his MLB debut in 2022 once he recovers from the injury. |

Tue Mar 15 2022 | 13:46 | Adley Rutschman Dealing With Elbow Soreness |
Baltimore Orioles catching prospect Adley Rutschman (elbow) is dealing with some elbow soreness in camp, but manager Brandon Hyde thinks Rutschman will be OK in a day or two. The 24-year-old, who is the top prospect in baseball entering the 2022 season, hit .271/.392/.508 with 18 home runs and 55 RBI in 80 games for Double-A Bowie last year. The switch-hitting backstop is incredibly advanced with his approach at the plate and has home run power from both sides. Rutschman may begin this year at Triple-A, but he has little left to prove in the minors and is fully expected to make his major league debut with the O's at some point this year. |

Wed Aug 11 2021 | 08:26 | Adley Rutschman Goes 2-For-4 In Triple-A Debut |
The Baltimore Orioles announced that catcher Adley Rutschman would be promoted to Triple-A Norfolk this past weekend. He made his Triple-A debut on Tuesday and certainly didn't disappoint. He went 2-for-4 in the game, hitting a double and driving in a run. Defensively, he helped navigate a 4-0 shutout win, catching for three different pitchers, including starter Bruce Zimmermann who pitched five hitless innings. Rutschman recently became the No. 1 overall prospect in the majors with Wander Franco graduating from MLB Pipeline's Top 100. There's a chance we could see Rutschman in the majors this year, but with the Orioles sitting at 38-73, it's more likely that his MLB debut comes in 2022. |

Mon Aug 9 2021 | 11:02 | Adley Rutschman Promoted To Triple-A Sunday |
Baltimore Orioles catching prospect Adley Rutschman was promoted to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday. Baseball's number 1 overall prospect has slashed .271/.392/.508 with 18 homers and 55 RBI in 80 games this season with Double-A Bowie. This is an exciting development for both O's fans and fantasy managers, as Rutschman has delivered so far as one of baseball's highest prospects. It remains to be seen if he will get a cup of coffee at the big-league level this season, but he is now one step closer to potentially helping fantasy managers. |
