Furbush (biceps) threw 10 pitches off a mound Tuesday, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Furbush, who is working his way back from an episode of tendinitis, used the session as a means of gauging his health, and after experiencing no out-of-the-ordinary pain, he'll attempt to up his pitch count and throw off a mound again Thursday. He could be ready to begin a minor-league rehab assignment by the weekend.

Furbush (biceps) is making progress in his recovery but will likely require a minor league rehab stint before returning to the Mariners, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Furbush suffered a setback in his rehab last week, but it doesn't look to be anything major. Assuming he continues to progress as expected, he'll likely head out on a rehab assignment within the next week. Furbush last pitched on July 7 and holds a 2.08 ERA in 21.2 total innings.

Furbush (biceps) experienced a setback that could push back his return, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Furbush's setback led to him being scratched from his scheduled bullpen session. That said, the setback is believed to be minor, so Furbush's return may only be delayed a few days. He did not travel with the team for its current road trip, which lasts through July 23, however.

Furbush (biceps) has resumed a throwing program, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seatle reports.
A bout of biceps tendinitis sent Furbush to the DL earlier this month, but he's cleared the first major hurdle in his road back to the active roster. The left-hander did not, however, travel with the team on its current road trip.

Furbush was placed on the DL with biceps tendinitis Thursday, 710 AM ESPN in Seattle reports.
Furbush will hit the DL, retroactive to July 8, as he deals with discomfort and swelling in his throwing arm. The Mariners recalled Danny Farquhar and Vidal Nuno to fill the roster spots vacated by Furbush and Mayckol Guaipe, who was optioned to Triple-A on Thursday.

Furbush was charged with three runs (two earned) on two hits without making an out in the eighth inning Tuesday.
Furbush was a victim of bad defense, as Robinson Cano made an error and then misplayed another grounder that put two on. A groundball up the middle scored a run before Furbush was pulled. In his previous seven outings this season, Furbush allowed two hits and one walk.

Furbush recorded three outs in his seventh scoreless appearance of the season Monday against the Astros.
While he may offer some value in leagues that reward holds, Furbush does more for the Mariners as a piece of their relief corps. He's now carrying a 4:1 K:BB over 4.1 innings this season. Don't be surprised if his usage this season mirrors the plan from 2014 when he tossed 42.1 innings over 67 trips to the mound for Seattle.
Fri Jan 16 201516:11Furbush agreed to one-year
Furbush agreed to a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Mariners on Friday, Mike Perchick of WAPT reports.
Furbush had another solid season for the Mariners out of the bullpen in 2014, finishing with a 3.61 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 51 strikeouts over 42.1 innings. He enters 2015 as a middle reliever for the Mariners.

Furbush was the only Mariners reliever (of the six used) to allow a run against the Red Sox on Sunday, giving up one run on two hits while retiring one batter.
Furbush is one of two lefty-specialists in the Mariners bullpen, though he's actually faced 10 more right-handed batters than lefties. The Mariners' bullpen has been so good that Furbush's 3.96 ERA, which isn't that bad (albeit in a typically small sample) is the worst of the bunch.
Sun Jul 20 201401:22Charlie Furbush notches save
Charlie Furbush pitched a scoreless 12th for his first career save Saturday against the Angels.
The Mariners used everyone except Fernando Rodney in Friday's 16-inning loss, so with the rest of the bullpen tired, they went right to him in a tie game in the 10th tonight. Dominic Leone pitched the 11th and stayed in to open the 12th after the Mariners scored twice in the top of the inning, but he was pulled after giving up a leadoff homer to David Freese. Furbush took over then and retired all three batters he faced. It was his first save in 175 career relief appearances.

Charlie Furbush was removed from Monday's game against the Angels in the seventh inning after he was struck by a Mike Trout liner.
It was a stinging shot off his lower leg, but Furbush appears to have escaped without serious injury. He couldn't continue, however, and limped off the field. Consider the reliever day-to-day.

Tue Dec 17 201317:36Mariners ink Furbush to $750,000 contract
Mariners and LHP Charlie Furbush avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
Furbush actually fell short of Super Two status, but it was a near-miss and MLB and the players' union both agreed that he should have an inflated salary in 2014. Furbush, 27, boasts a 3.31 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 10.8 K/9 in 119 appearances since the start of the 2012 season.

Charlie Furbush (triceps) will make another rehab appearance with Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday before the Mariners decide if he's ready to return.
They want him to be 100% before returning to the bullpen, and they haven't felt that he's quite ready after his first three appearances. Expect this to be his final tune-up before returning to the M's bullpen after the weekend.

Tue Aug 7 201220:08Furbush to make another rehab appearance
Charlie Furbush (triceps) will make another rehab appearance with Triple-A Tacoma.
Mariners manager Eric Wedge previously indicated that Furbush's second appearance on Monday would be his last one, but he's decided the lefty isn't quite ready. "He feels pretty good. He's just not where he needs to be before he gets back up here," Wedge said. "It's a little bit different when you've got a veteran guy that has been through it or done it before. This is kind of his first go-round with something like this."

Charlie Furbush (triceps) has declared himself "fine."
Furbush was removed from Tuesday's game against the Royals after just two pitches because of tightness in his left triceps. But he made some additional throws in a cage after exiting and felt no lingering discomfort. He's day-to-day and should avoid the disabled list.
