Johnson's X-rays after jamming his middle finger came back negative, MASN Sports reports.
Johnson is still dealing with discomfort but avoid any further serious injury in his finger as he's being listed as day-to-day with a bruise. The larger concern remains a shoulder injury, but he's clear to resume throwing once the discomfort subsides.

Johnson jammed his middle finger Sunday and will not throw Monday, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
He is working his way back from a shoulder injury, which is still the primary concern as the finger issue does not sound serious. Johnson's fantasy prospects are minimal as he represents organizational depth. While he may be used as a starter in the minor leagues this year, he would probably be used out of the bullpen if he got called up to the majors at some point.

Johnson (shoulder) participated in fielding drills Friday and could throw a bullpen session in the next few days, MASN Sports reports.
Johnson's bum shoulder ruined his 2014 season in which his WHIP was over 2.00 in 13 Triple-A starts. At this point, the Orioles likely expect nothing but organizational depth with Johnson, given he is 27-years old and he is now far removed from his very good 2012 season when he made 12 solid appearances for the Orioles.
Wed Jan 21 201515:59Johnson (shoulder) has agreed to minor league deal with Orioles
Johnson (shoulder) has agreed to a minor league deal with the Orioles, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports.
Johnson, who will receive an invite to spring training, last played in the majors in 2013, appearing in nine games for the Orioles but struggled as he posted a 7.47 ERA. The 27-year-old dealt with injuries for much of last season that limited him to just 16 starts across the minors, but he should be fully healthy by the time spring training starts. Though he received an invite, it's more likely he'll break camp starting the season at the Triple-A level.

Johnson (shoulder) has not experienced any pain in his current throwing program, MASN Sports reports.
The Orioles are interested in bringing Johnson back, but he might be able to find a minor league contract elsewhere. If his health has improved, he could start the season with a Triple-A affiliate and try to work his way back to the majors. Johnson managed just 47.2 innings in 2014 due to the injury.

Further, Johnson said he experienced no soreness during his first catch session Saturday. He was then outrighted in October and elected free agency.

Tue May 13 201423:03Steve Johnson to have shoulder examined
Steve Johnson will travel to Baltimore Wednesday to be examined after having a recurrence of right shoulder discomfort.
Johnson was knocked around for three runs on three hits and two walks over two innings for Triple-A Norfolk Tuesday. He was making his third start since missing three weeks of action with a shoulder issue. Even if the exam doesn't reveal anything serious, obviously Johnson won't be an option to join the Orioles anytime soon.

Sat Mar 15 201408:33Steve Johnson could make Opening Day roster
Steve Johnson has positioned himself well this spring to secure one of the final spots in the Orioles Opening Day bullpen.
The 26-year-old hurler has surrendered just two runs on three hits over his seven innings of work in the Grapefruit League season, while posting a 6/2 K/BB ratio. With his ability to work multiple innings, he could settle in nicely in a long-reliever role.
