Wed Mar 27 201315:26M's reassign RHP Bonderman to Triple-A
Mariners reassigned RHP Jeremy Bonderman to minor league camp.

Tue Mar 26 201319:48Jeremy Bonderman knocked around Tuesday
Jeremy Bonderman was lit up for seven runs over 5 1/3 innings against the Royals Tuesday.
He surrendered 11 hits, walked one and struck out a pair, and his velocity had fallen to the mid-80s by the end of the outing. Bonderman looked pretty good early on in camp, but he now holds an 8.80 ERA with just seven strikeouts over 15 1/3 frames. It's possible he'll stick around in a long relief role, but he can now probably be safely ruled out for a rotation spot.

Fri Mar 15 201319:44Bonderman solid as Mariners top Angels
Jeremy Bonderman continued writing his comeback story in Friday's victory over the Angels, allowing two runs on five hits over four innings of work.
Bonderman didn't walk a batter on the afternoon and struck out two. The 30-year-old right-hander was never a serious candidate to open the season in the Mariners' rotation, but has likely shown enough to stick around in a long-relief role. He's unlikely to have any impact in fantasy leagues this season.

Thu Mar 7 201320:25Jeremy Bonderman 'continues to impress'
Mariners manager Eric Wedge said Jeremy Bonderman "continues to impress" in camp.
Bonderman struck out two over three innings of one-run ball Thursday. He had allowed five runs over his first three spring innings, but obviously Wedge has been pleased with the righty's stuff. It would likely take an injury for Bonderman to have a shot at a rotation spot, but it sounds like he has a good shot to stick around in a long relief role.

Fri Feb 15 201321:36Bonderman impresses in second session
Mariners manager Eric Wedge was impressed with right-hander Jeremy Bonderman after his second side session on Friday.
Wedge has been impressed at Bonderman's readiness so early in camp. Still just 30-years-old, the injury prone veteran actually has a chance at cracking the Mariners opening day starting rotation if he has a successful spring. It's unlikely he'll be an impact player in fantasy leagues, but remember he has shown high-strikeout ability in the past.

Sat Dec 22 201208:50Mariners considering Bonderman for rotation
According to Geoff Baker of the Seattle Times, Jeremy Bonderman will get a shot at cracking the Mariners' starting rotation.
The Mariners didn't see Bonderman throw prior to signing him, but the plan is to let him compete with Hector Noesi and Erasmo Ramirez for one of the final spots in their Opening Day rotation. Coming back from Tommy John Surgery, the odds remain stacked against Bonderman winning a roster spot. He hasn't pitched since being released in 2010 and has a 4.89 ERA over eight major league seasons.

Mariners signed RHP Jeremy Bonderman to a minor league contract.
The deal includes a spring training invite. Bonderman has been out of the majors since 2010 and had Tommy John surgery this past April, but he's hoping to make a comeback in 2013. The 30-year-old has a 4.89 ERA over eight major league seasons and will have the odds stacked against him to win a roster spot.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Tigers have offered Jeremy Bonderman a contract.
Bonderman hasn't pitched in the majors since 2010, but he's recovered from Tommy John surgery and is intent on pursuing a comeback. Still just 30 years old, the right-hander spent all eight years of his career with the Tigers. They likely are offering him a non-guaranteed minor league deal.

Tue Nov 6 201209:35Bonderman planning comeback to MLB
According to Buster Olney of ESPN, Jeremy Bonderman is progressing well in his recovery from Tommy John surgery and is intent on making a return to the MLB in 2013.
Bonderman underwent Tommy John surgery in April of 2012 and hasn't pitched in the big leagues since posting a disappointing 5.53 ERA over 171 innings with the Tigers in 2010. He's allegedly dropped 35 pounds and is in fantastic shape, and should be able to generate a spring training invitation from somewhere.

Wed Apr 25 201212:08Bonderman eyes comeback after elbow surgery
Buster Olney of ESPN.com reports that Jeremy Bonderman underwent elbow reconstruction surgery Tuesday "with the intent of working his way back to the big leagues next spring."
Bonderman didn't pitch at all last season after posting a 5.53 ERA over 171 innings for the Tigers in 2010. He's still just 29 years old, so he figures to get a spring training invite somewhere, but the odds are against him making a major league roster.

Tue Mar 1 201111:03Bonderman likely to sit out for all of 2011?
ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick heard Tuesday that Jeremy Bonderman is likely to sit out this season.
Bonderman has drawn very little interest on the open market this offseason and most teams already have enough pitching depth in camp by now. The 28-year-old right-hander posted an ugly 5.53 ERA over 171 innings with the Tigers last season. Maybe a club will get desperate enough around mid-summer.

Tue Feb 15 201118:26Indians to proceed with in-house options
Indians general manager Chris Antonetti said Tuesday that the club plans to proceed with the group of pitchers they currently have in camp.
If true, that's bad news for Jeremy Bonderman, who the club was considering on a potential minor league deal. The Indians have also been linked to veteran right-hander Kevin Millwood, though his asking price is reportedly too high for the Tribe.

Sat Feb 12 201115:11Report: Tribe want Bonderman on minors deal
The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Paul Hoynes reports that the Indians are still interested in Jeremy Bonderman, but only on a minor league deal.
That might be enough, as it would be a surprise if Bonderman was able to get a major league deal with anyone at this point. Hoynes also notes that the Tribe will not give Kevin Millwood the $4 million that he's looking for on a one-year pact. The longer the two veteran right-handers wait, the more appealing the Indians will seem.

Sat Feb 5 201109:29Yankees have no interest in Bonderman
The New York Post's Brian Costello reports that the Yankees have no interest in free agent Jeremy Bonderman.
The Bronx Bombers would like to add some pitching depth with Andy Pettitte opting for retirement, but Bonderman evidently is not on their radar. The right-hander reportedly could be close to a deal with the Indians, who might be the only team willing to give him a major league deal. Bonderman held a 5.53 ERA over 171 innings with the Tigers last season.

Tue Feb 1 201121:29Indians working to sign Jeremy Bonderman
According to Jordan Bastian of MLB.com, the Indians are "working to sign" free agent right-hander Jeremy Bonderman.
It's not known if the club will give him a major league contract. The 28-year-old right-hander posted a lousy 5.53 ERA over 171 innings with the Tigers last season, but would likely compete with Jeanmar Gomez, Josh Tomlin, David Huff and Anthony Reyes for the final spot in the Indians' starting rotation.

Tue Feb 1 201115:50Tigers won't be re-signing Bonderman
Tigers GM Dave Dombrowksi said Tuesday that the Tigers are not going to re-sign free agent right-hander Jeremy Bonderman.
Tom Gage of the Detroit News heard last week that the Tigers are willing to re-sign Bonderman to a minor league pact. But Dombrowski cleared up those rumors on Tuesday, telling reporters that they're completely done with him. The 28-year-old finished with an ugly 5.53 ERA last season and is unlikely to find a club willing to guarantee him a roster spot before spring training.

Tue Jan 25 201112:49Tigers open to re-signing Jeremy Bonderman
The Tigers are open to re-signing free agent righty Jeremy Bonderman, but only to a minor league contract.
The Cardinals and Rangers have expressed mild interest, but they're probably only willing to hand him a minor league deal as well. Bonderman, 28, posted an ugly 5.53 ERA and 112/60 K/BB ratio over 30 games (29 starts) for the Tigers last season and hasn't really experienced sustained success since 2006. He's still rather young, but a complete turnaround is unlikely.

Sun Jan 16 201109:00Rangers, Cards have interest in Bonderman
According to the Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo, the Rangers and Cardinals have "minor interest" in Jeremy Bonderman.
All has been quiet on the Bonderman front this offseason, as he had been previously linked with the Yankees, but their interest appears to have been tepid, at best. Bonderman has been unable to regain his form since his shoulder woes, and, even at just 28, he might have to settle for a minor league deal.
