Mon Apr 18 201109:04Briscoe could start if Benn isn't ready
Dezmon Briscoe could start at wide receiver next if Arrelious Benn isn't recovered from ACL surgery.
According to the Pewter Report, the Bucs are very high on Briscoe and see him as the third receiver. Benn's tear was a clean one and the rehab is reportedly going well, but predicting returns from reconstructive knee surgeries is an inexact science. Briscoe is a name to store in the back of your mind.

Bengals agreed to terms with sixth-round WR Dezmon Briscoe on a multi-year contract.
Briscoe offers ideal size and plus leaping ability in addition to elite college production, but his stock slipped due to a slow forty time at the Combine. The Bengals are suddenly deep at receiver, and Briscoe missed the majority of OTAs with a groin injury. He's ticketed for the practice squad unless he opens eye in preseason action.
