Gould made two short field goals but had one of his two extra-point attempts blocked in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Falcons.
Though more of the blame for the missed PAT resided with his blockers, Gould was effectively robbed of two points, as the Bears chose to go for two after their next touchdown to make it a 14-point game. Gould still hasn't eclipsed double-digit scoring in any week this season, and with the weather starting to get colder, his chances of racking up high point totals in a given week figure to only decrease from here.

The normally-reliable Gould missed his first kick of the season Sunday against the Panthers, shanking a 35-yard field goal attempt late in the first half.
Gould's miss seemed to spark a Panthers offense that had sputtered in the second quarter, as Carolina quarterback Cam Newton ran the no-huddle to perfection in the final two minutes of the half, finding Greg Olsen with 12 seconds left to give the Panthers some momentum heading into the locker room. Gould would rebound later in the game with a 45-yard field goal in the third quarter to give the Bears a 24-21 lead, but it wasn't enough to compensate for his missed opportunity early in the game. The 32-year-old remains one of the more accurate kickers in the NFL, but he's been unable to generate much fantasy utility thus far. He's scored just 32 points through five contests, which prorates to barely over 100 points over a 16-game schedule.

Gould hit his lone field goal attempt and both of his extra points in Sunday's loss to the Packers.
Gould remains a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and 11-for-11 on extra points for the season, but he's failed to crack double-digit scoring in any of his four games. He'll probably need the potent Bears' offense to show less efficiency in the red zone in order to see an increase in field goal attempts.

Gould converted field goals of 24 and 45 yards and nailed all three of his extra-point attempts in Monday's 27-19 win over the Jets.
Gould has kicked flawlessly through the Bears' first three games, knocking down all four of his attempts from the field to go along with nine extra points. Admittedly, he hasn't been challenged much, as he's only attempted two kicks over 40 yards and none over 50. Still, given Gould's 86.2 percent career accuracy rate from the field (third-best in NFL history), it's hard to dispute his standing as one of the most reliable kickers in the league.

Gould tacked on extra points on all four of the Bears' touchdowns in their Week 2 victory over the 49ers.
Thanks to the efforts of hulking goal-line threats Brandon Marshall (three touchdowns) and Martellus Bennett (one touchdown), the Bears were able to find pay dirt on each of their four trips to the red zone, preventing Gould from racking up more points. It's still generally a good thing for kickers in fantasy to be tied to productive offenses, so expect Gould to see more opportunities from the field as the season roars on.

Gould made all four of his kicks in Sunday's Week 1 loss to the Bills, knocking down two extra points and two more from the field.
Entering his 10th NFL season, Gould seems to be getting better with age, as he's coming off a year in which he posted a career-best 89.7 percent accuracy rate from the field. His 2014 campaign is again off to an auspicious start, and the points should keep piling up if the Bears can stay healthy at the skill positions.

Gould has gone 4-for-6 on field goal attempts and has knocked down all four of his extra point attempts through the Bears' first three preseason games.
The added distance on extra points during preseason games doesn't seem to have altered Gould's effectiveness, but he hasn't been quite as proficient from the field as we've come to expect. However, the sample size is rather small, and one of the missed attempts was partially blocked, so it's probably unwise to forecast a decline for Gould. With an 86 percent career accuracy rate from the field, Gould is about as reliable as a kicker as there is in the game. Though Gould typically ranks as a middle-tier fantasy option, a top-flight offense with a full season of Jay Cutler at the helm could allow the kicker to turn his production up a notch in 2014.
Fri Dec 27 201314:19Bears extend K Robbie Gould through 2017
Bears signed K Robbie Gould to a four-year extension through 2017.
32-year-old Gould drilled 26-of-29 field goals in 2013, and has converted at least 83 percent of his field goal attempts in every year since his rookie campaign of 2005. He is currently regarded as the second most accurate placekicker in league history, leapfrogging Nate Kaeding in November. Per GM Phil Emery's stats, Gould has made 90 percent of his field goals that have occurred with the Bears trailing on the scoreboard. Gould's long-range fantasy value is also looking up with Marc Trestman in Chicago.

Sun Apr 21 201322:55Robbie Gould healthy after calf surgery
Bears K Robbie Gould is 13 weeks removed from surgery to repair a ruptured semitendinosus tendon in his left leg.
He says he's healthy now. Gould, unluckily, suffered the calf-area injury in warmups before Chicago's Week 14 game. He wound up 21-of-25 on field goals and 2-of-2 from 50 yards out. The Bears signed Austin Signor to compete with Gould in camp, but the undrafted rookie is unlikely to pose a serious threat.

Tue Dec 11 201213:12Bears replace injured Gould with Olindo Mare
Bears placed K Robbie Gould (calf) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Gould pulled his calf during warmups for Week 14. His eighth NFL campaign ends with a 21-of-25 mark on field goals, including 2-of-2 from 50-plus yards out. Gould will enter the final year of his contract in 2013 set to earn $2.325 million. The Bears have chosen to now roll with veteran Olindo Mare, who beat out Neil Rackers and Billy Cundiff at a Tuesday workout.

Mon Dec 10 201210:36Robbie Gould says he'll be fine
Following Sunday's loss to the Vikings, Bears K Robbie Gould (calf) said he'll be "fine" for next week.
Gould strained the calf on his plant leg during warmups. He was available to kick mid-range field goals without trouble, but his ability to take long kicks was limited. Even if Gould does end active for Week 15 as promised, fantasy owners should move on to a kicker that's 100 percent.

Sun Dec 9 201213:57Bears K Gould suffered calf strain in pregame
Bears K Robbie Gould is questionable to return after suffering a calf strain in pregame warmumps.
News didn't surface until game time. The Bears eschewed a 53-yard field goal attempt that they would have otherwise tried in the first quarter. Gould may not kick again the rest of the day.
