Sun Apr 25 201013:30Bonser to rejoin Pawtucket Monday
Boof Bonser (shoulder, groin) will rejoin Pawtucket on Monday and is expected to throw a bullpen session.
Bonser missed all of last season rehabbing from shoulder surgery, but was on the disabled list with a groin injury. He was shut down recently with stiffness in his shoulder, but that appears to have cleared, paving the way for Bonser to resume his rehab.

Sat Apr 17 201011:42Bonser gets good news from Sox's docs
Boof Bonser's sore shoulder is due to nothing more than normal stiffness, according to Red Sox doctors who examined Bonser before Friday's game.
"It's a big relief," Bonser told the Boston Herald. "I was thinking, look out. Just coming off surgery, who knows what it could've been?" Bonser made just one appearance last year in the minors while coming back from shoulder surgery, so it certainly a relief that this is nothing to be worried about. He's still being held out while the stiffness clears, but should be back pitching for Triple-A Pawtucket before too long.

Wed Apr 14 201012:35Bonser (shoulder) to be examined on Friday
Boof Bonser (shoulder) will be examined by team doctors on Friday in Boston.
Bonser was roughed up in another rehab appearance with Triple-A Pawtucket on Tuesday and reportedly had difficulty getting his surgically-repaired shoulder loose. Bonser was originally placed on the disabled list to begin the season due to a strained right groin.

Tue Apr 13 201014:22Bonser shelled for 9 earned runs in 2 innings
Boof Bonser (groin) was shelled for nine runs in two innings Tuesday in a rehab start with Triple-A Pawtucket.
Bonser has now surrendered 12 earned runs in 6 1/3 innings (two starts) at the Triple-A level. He was on a 90-pitch count Tuesday afternoon, but only made it to 50 throws and only 26 of them were strikes. He's a long way from being ready to join a major league team, let alone the talented Red Sox.

Thu Apr 8 201021:18Bonser allows 3 ER in 4-plus rehab innings
Boof Bonser (groin) gave up three earned runs in 4 1/3 innings Thursday during a rehab start with Triple-A Pawtucket.
Bonser went 0-2 with an 11.57 ERA in four appearances during spring training and was placed on the disabled list before the regular season. He didn't look too good Thursday evening against a lineup of Triple-A batters and probably shouldn't join the Red Sox until he can handle lesser competition.
