Tate had just two catches on two targets for 41 yards and added a rush for eight yards in Sunday's 14-6 loss at Arizona.

Tate wasn't involved much, but Matthew Stafford and the entire offense struggled to move the ball. Calvin Johnson received treatment on his elbow after the game, although he downplayed the severity of it. If Johnson were forced to miss action, Tate would obviously get a boost in value.

There was a thought that Tate's production might take a dip with Calvin Johnson back from his ankle injury, but quarterback Matthew Stafford ended up throwing 28 of his 40 passes to his starting wideouts, with Johnson catching seven passes for 113 yards and a touchdown. Tate has now broken the 100-yard mark in five of the last six games, with a great matchup in Week 11 against a Cardinals defense allowing the most passing yards per game this season.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford was under pressure all game and completed only 19-of-33 passes, which didn't help Tate catch more passes. Even if Johnson is able to play in Week 7 against the Saints, Tate figures to continue to see plenty of balls thrown his way.

Tate (hamstring) racked up seven receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Bills.

Tate had to assume the role of primary receiver after a hobbled Calvin Johnson eventually had to leave the game due to his ankle injury. Tate's nine targets were more than all other Lions wide receivers combined (eight). That's now two monster games in a row for the Notre Dame product, and he could be in line for a lot of targets again next week against Minnesota if Johnson is forced to miss the game.

Tate (hamstring) is listed as active Sunday versus the Bills, the Lions' official site reports.

Tate's reps were capped both Thursday and Friday, likely due to the potential for Calvin Johnson (ankle) to sit out in Week 5. Even though the Lions' worst fears have passed, with Johnson active, Tate could uphold his robust outing from last Sunday, when he tore up the Jets' secondary for 116 yards on eight catches (11 targets).

Tate (hamstring) is probable for Sunday's game against Buffalo.

Tate logged only two limited practices this week, but the fact that he's listed as probable gives reason to think his workload was limited to keep him fresh for Sunday, and not necessarily due to injury limitations. The Lions are poised to lean on Tate a fair amount with Calvin Johnson (ankle) questionable and the duo of Joique Bell (concussion) and Joseph Fauria (ankle) already ruled out.

Head coach Jim Caldwell expects Tate (hamstring) to play in Sunday's game against the Bils, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

The extent of Tate's injury is uncertain, but Caldwell's optimism should provide the same to fantasy owners. Expect an update on his status when the Lions release their injury report following Friday's practice.

More on Tate's status Friday, but his addition to the Lions' injury report is obviously less than optimal, with fellow starting wideout Calvin Johnson having sat out practice both Wednesday and Thursday.

Tate had eight catches on 10 targets for 116 yards Sunday against the Jets.

With Calvin Johnson limited due to an ankle injury, Tate was quarterback Matthew Stafford's favorite target Sunday and he led the team in receptions and receiving yards, though Stafford's two passing touchdowns went to wideout Jeremy Ross and tight end Eric Ebron. While he's still looking for his first touchdown as a Lion, Tate has shown to be a very capable No. 2 receiver behind Johnson and has another solid matchup in Week 5 against a Bills defense that is much better against the run than the pass.

Tate caught five passes on seven targets for 51 yards Sunday against the Packers.

Tate recorded 93 yards in Week 1, but has accumulated just 108 yards in the last two games combined. His targets have remained steady, though he's still looking for his first touchdown of the season. He should have a good opportunity for one in Week 4, as the Lions will play a Jets team that is very good at stopping the run, but has struggled significantly against the pass this season.

Tate had five catches on eight targets for 57 yards Sunday against the Panthers.

Tate appeared well on his way to a big game, catching four passes for 51 yards in the first quarter, but he caught only one pass more in the entire game. He continues to be an solid complement to Calvin Johnson and he'll look for more targets in Week 3 against the Packers.

Tate caught all six of his targets for 93 yards in Monday's 35-14 loss to the Giants.

Tate turned in a strong Lions debut, though it was Calvin Johnson who caught both of Matt Stafford's touchdowns. Of the team's 30 targets, Johnson (11), Tate (six) and Reggie Bush (six) combined for 23. Meanwhile, the team's tight-end trio was fairly quiet, and no other wide receivers were targeted. Next week brings a tough Panthers defense, and while yards will likely be harder to come by, Matt Stafford could end up throwing far more passes.

Tate caught three passes for 36 yards in the Lions' third preseason game.

Tate is locked in as a starter opposite Calvin Johnson, so this preseason is simple about him getting acclimated to Matthew Stafford and Detroit's offense.

Tate caught his only target for 14 yards in Saturday's preseason opener against the Browns.

Locked in as a starter and no longer dealing with a shoulder injury, Tate just needs to make it through the preseason without getting hurt. The change in offensive systems should lead to more targets, but the Lions do have plenty of players to throw to, even if the receivers behind Tate and Calvin Johnson are shaky. Reggie Bush and Joique Bell are both proven receiving threats out of the backfield, while first-round rookie Eric Ebron joins Brandon Pettigrew and Joseph Fauria in the tight end group.

Lions removed Golden Tate (shoulder) from active/PUP.

We're not quite sure what is ailing Tate, but there's been no indication his absence will be long. Ansah is recovering from offseason shoulder surgery and was fully expected to open camp on PUP. He'll be ready for Week 1.

Golden Tate is not expected to return punts for the Lions.

Tate was Pro Football Focus' No. 1 punt returner while playing for Seattle last season, averaging 11.5 yards per return. In Detroit, he'll focus on an expanded offensive role while putting that unique elusiveness to use opposite Calvin Johnson. Jeremy Ross is expected to remain the primary return man.

Golden Tate compared his role in the Lions offense to the one Lance Moore had with the Saints.

Per the Lions' official site, new OC Joe Lombardi has brought over a lot of concepts he learned while in New Orleans for the previous seven seasons. Between 2008-12, Moore's per-game averages were 4.05 catches for 51.6 yards and 0.5 touchdowns. He had one 1,000-yard season, one 10-touchdown season and went over 60 catches three times during that span. Tate is capable of far greater things as he's more athletic, more explosive, has better hands and will be in space more while playing off Calvin Johnson.
