Murry was assigned to the Idaho Stampede of the D-League on Thursday, Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Murry, who signed with the Jazz in late-August, has not appeared in a game this season and will head to the D-League, where he'll have an opportunity to see starter's minutes on a nightly basis. The 6-5 guard is expected to be in uniform for Friday's season opener agains the Erie BayHawks.

Murry has been listed as one of Utah's healthy inactives for all five games of the season thus far.
The Jazz are pretty stacked at point guard with Trey Burke, Dante Exum, and even Alec Burks so Murry hasn't been needed at any point this season. Even more detrimental for Murry, fellow low-end point guard Ian Clark has dressed out for all five of Utah's games. Ideally you won't ever have to choose between Murry or Clark, but Clark seems to be the better option in the early goings of the season while Murry stays on the bench in street clothes.

Murry has only played in two preseason games for the Jazz, despite being healthy.
Murry was acquired by the Jazz in the offseason but faces the unlikely probability of spending much time on the court this season. He's currently low in the pecking order at point guard behind Trey Burke, Dante Exum, and Alec Burks. On top of that, fellow point guard Ian Clark may even cause some troubles for Murry's playing time as both he and Clark fight for a minimal role off the bench.
Tue Aug 26 201415:46Murry signed two-year deal with Jazz on Tuesday
Murry signed a two-year deal with the Jazz on Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Murry spent last season with the Knicks but did not receive a qualifying offer from the team this offseason. He appeared in 51 games, averaging 2.7 points and 1.0 rebounds in 7.3 minutes. The Wichita State product has great size (6-5, 195) but is yet to prove he's worth more than a deep bench spot thus far in his career.
Mon Jul 21 201417:51Jazz express interest in UFA Toure Murry
The Jazz have expressed interest in unrestricted free agent Toure Murry.
Murry has also met with the Heat, but regardless of where he signs, he is not on the fantasy radar in any format. Murry averaged 2.7 points through 51 games with the Knicks during the 2013-14 season.

Thu Jul 3 201412:38Clippers interested in Toure Murry
The Los Angeles Clippers have reportedly shown interest in unrestricted free agent Toure Murry.
The Clippers interest is likely a reaction to Darren Collison's departure to Sacramento as Murry could serve as a lower-cost back up to starter Chris Paul. Murry only averaged 2.7 points over 7.3 minutes per game with the Knicks during the 2013-14 season, but is still only 24 years old and could grow into a solid bench option under the tutelage of Doc Rivers.

The Knicks are not expected to make a qualifying offer to Toure Murry.
He will become an unrestricted free agent and the Nets, Bulls and Warriors are believed to be interested. Murry didn't get off the bench much in his time with the Knicks, playing just 7.3 minutes per game with a 2.7 points-per-game average.

Wed May 28 201413:14Three teams interested in Toure' Murry
The Nets, Bulls and Warriors all have interest in Knicks SG Toure Murry, according to ESPN.com.
The Knicks have yet to offer Murry a qualifying offer to make him a restricted free agent, so there's a chance that the 6'5" guard will hit the open market in July. His appeal doesn't extend to fantasy leagues, however, as he finished his rookie season averaging 2.7 points while shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 59.0 percent from the FT line.

Mon Apr 14 201409:18Toure Murry, Jeremy Tyler to join rotation
Knicks coach Mike Woodson suggested that Toure Murry and Jeremy Tyler will play rotation minutes in the final two games of the regular season.
They each played exactly one minute in Sunday's victory, and the prospect of 15-20 minutes off the bench doesn't come close to giving them fantasy appeal. The Knicks can give Murry a $1.0 million qualifying offer for next season, while Tyler has a minimum deal which is only partially guaranteed, so both guys will be looking to impress on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thu Jan 30 201411:42Toure Murry recalled from D-League BayHawks
The Knicks have recalled Toure Murry from the Erie BayHawks of the D-League.
Murry was sent to the D-League on Wednesday in order to get more practice time, and will rejoin the Knicks on Thursday. The rookie has played well in spurts, but his playing time (9.1 minutes per game during January) severely limit his fantasy potential unless there are some injuries in front of him.

Sat Dec 28 201323:08Toure Murry plays 27 minutes off bench
Toure Murry played 27 minutes off the bench against the Raptors on Sunday with 11 points, three rebounds, six assists, three steals and two turnovers on 5-of-11 shooting.
He played very well and coach Mike Woodson praised Murry after the game. Beno Udrih is also falling out of favor, so it wouldn't be a total shock to see the Knicks make a change. At this stage right now, I'm about playing the guys who are gonna play hard," Woodson said. He's only worth a look in very deep leagues for now since there is no hard evidence on a lineup change just yet.

Wed Dec 25 201313:04Toure Murry will get minutes Wednesday
Toure Murry will play the second-string point guard spot behind Beno Udrih on Wednesday.
The Knicks are going to start with Iman Shumpert on Russell Westbrook to help take at least some pressure Ben Udrih. Murry is a long way from having fantasy value, but he had a great offseason and could be fun to watch.

Thu Dec 19 201300:41Toure Murry tweaks ankle in win
Toure Murry tweaked an ankle in Wednesday's game against the Bucks and did not return.
The team announced he was able to return, but he did not after his 10 minutes prior to injury. Murry had no points, two boards, one assist and one steal, so it's hard to imagine him having any sort of value in almost any leagues, especially with Beno Udrih's performance.

Mon Oct 21 201322:21Toure Murry may have locked up a spot
Toure Murry may have locked up a roster spot on the Knicks with Monday's game, scoring 12 points with five boards, two assists and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.
He hit a fadeaway jumper from halfcourt to beat the third-quarter buzzer. The Knicks broadcast was buzzing about him for much of their time on the air and he looks to be the 15th guy on the team. Murry can make plays, but he won't be in the rotation while the Knicks are at full strength.

Fri Oct 18 201309:31Toure Murry expected to make the team
Toure Murry appears to have made the Knicks opening-night roster.
C.J. Leslie looked to be ahead of Murry, but Leslie didn't get off the bench on Thursday, so his Knicks run is likely coming to an end. Murry looked great in the fourth quarter on Thursday, finishing with 14 points, two boards, two steals and one 3-pointer on 5-of-7 shooting. He's a bigger guard at 6'5", but is nothing more than emergency depth for New York.

Wed Sep 11 201315:02NYK officially signs Toure Murry, Chris Smith
The Knicks have signed G Toure Murry and G Chris Smith.
Murry had a nice summer league and the combo guard showed a full array of skills. He's a decent defender, but the deck is still stacked against him to contribute with the club. The team has plenty of backcourt depth, so they're likely a little more inclined to keep a big man after training camp.
