Darius Miller (foot fracture) hopes to remove his cast within 10-14 days.
Miller was expected to miss 8-12 weeks as of early September, so it's doubtful that we'll see him on the court any time soon. "I haven't really talked about a set date [to return] or anything," he said. "They said they don't want to rush it, and I don't blame them."

Pelicans forward Darius Miller will miss 8-12 weeks due to a stress fracture in his left foot.
It's unclear how he hurt himself, but Miller has already had the injury surgically repaired. This makes it unlikely that he'll be ready for opening night, which shifts a few extra minutes to guys like Al-Farouq Aminu, Tyreke Evans, Anthony Morrow and Lance Thomas.

Sat Jul 20 201316:23Pelicans must decide on D. Miller by July 27
The Pelicans want second-year forward Darius Miller to improve his "defensive attitude."
"I still want Darius to compete on the defensive end," said Summer League coach Bryan Gates. "I want him to be that guy that gets in there and grinds out those loose balls and automatically diving on the floor and automatically getting rebounds. The offense is easy to work on, but it's the defensive attitude that is his next step." His contract won't be guaranteed until July 27, but his play the past few weeks may have earned him a roster spot.

Wed May 8 201308:39Darius Miller expected to be re-signed
Darius Miller has a team option on his contract for next season, but he's expected to be re-signed by the Pelicans.
Monty Williams described Miller as a player with "some skills for sure," and the coach noted that the player development team spent a lot of time with Miller during his rookie season." Williams wants to see Miller further develop, which isn't a surprise. "Coach Monty does a great job of making us comfortable, talking to us, making sure we understand minor details and just taking everything slow," he said.

Mon Mar 25 201323:27Darius Miller scores a career-high 16 points
Darius Miller scored a career-high 16 points to go with three boards, one assist, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers on 6-of-7 shooting against the Nuggets on Monday.
The Hornets were without both Eric Gordon and Greivis Vasquez, so Monty Williams went with an all-rookie backcourt. Gordon could be out for a while or he could be OK, so Miller may be able to get some minutes. He's only worth a look in very deep leagues and the Hornets don't have a great schedule the rest of the way.
