Fri Sep 11 201516:46Randall Cobb: (Shoulder) Probable For Sunday
Cobb is listed as probable for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Bears.
Cobb was limited throughout the week of practice, and while he acknowledged that his shoulder may bother him for a few weeks, he's been clear all along that he expects to play. Even at less than full strength, he should be a huge part of the offense in favorable matchup with the Bears.
Thu Sep 10 201511:42While range of motion in shoulder remains limited as it heals
While the range of motion in his shoulder remains limited as it heals, Cobb, who practiced on limited basis Wednesday, said "I'll be on the field Sunday," with reference his status for the Packers' regular season opener against the Bears, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.
While Cobb plans to play this weekend, he acknowledged that his balky shoulder will remain an issue that he will have to deal with "for a few weeks." We'll continue to monitor the wideout's status in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff, but we suspect the Cobb is trending toward either a questionable or probable injury designation upon the release of Friday's official injury report.
Wed Sep 9 201516:51Randall Cobb: (Shoulder) Limited Wednesday
Cobb (shoulder) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Paul Imig of OnMilwaukee.com reports. Afterward, Cobb told Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com that he'll play Sunday in Chicago.
As he continues to recover from a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder, Cobb will approach full participation in practice. However, even if it doesn't come to fruition, his optimism cannot be denied.
Wed Sep 9 201514:24Randall Cobb: (Shoulder) Present At Practice Wednesday
Cobb (shoulder) took part in practice Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Cobb upheld head coach Mike McCarthy's expectation that he would return in some capacity to begin preparation for Week 1. However, Cobb's recovery from a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder could cap his practice participation, which will be confirmed, one way or another, in due time.
Tue Sep 1 201517:08Randall Cobb: (Shoulder) Expects To Play In Week 1
Although he is still bothered by some swelling, Cobb (shoulder) expects to play against the Bears in Week 1, ESPN.com reports. "I don't plan on missing a game," Cobb said. "I'm doing everything in my power to get back before then. [The shoulder] definitely is a lot better than what we all thought it was in the beginning."
Cobb suffered a sprained AC joint during Saturday's preseason game against the Eagles, putting his Week 1 status into question. Despite his early optimism, he acknowledged that the injury is painful, and it looks like he could be headed for a 'questionable' designation.
Tue Sep 1 201512:33Randall Cobb: (Shoulder) Should Be Ready For Week 1
Cobb (shoulder) will likely be able to play against the Bears in Week 1, FOX Sports reports.
The report is based on an ambiguous quote from an anonymous NFL source who doesn't necessarily have any more information than the public. Still, it's clear that Cobb avoided the worst of it with his injury, which was revealed to be an AC joint sprain, rather than the broken collarbone he initially feared. His Week 1 availability shouldn't be assumed, but he'll likely be listed as either questionable or probable.
Sun Aug 30 201516:21Randall Cobb: MRI Reveals AC Joint Sprain
An MRI on Cobb's shoulder has revealed an AC joint sprain, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Per the report, the injury is considered minor and given that Cobb initially feared that he had broken his collarbone Saturday, per ESPN.com, things could obviously have been much worse for the Packers' wideout. While Cobb's Week 1 status has not yet been clarified, a long-term absence does not appear to be in the cards, which has to be of considerable relief to the team in the wake of Jordy Nelson's recent season-ending injury.
Sun Aug 30 201500:00Randall Cobb: Shoulder Injury Not Thought Serious
X-rays on Cobb's shoulder injury showed no broken collarbone and he said he didn't think it would be a long-term injury, ESPN reports. Cobb will undergo more tests Sunday.
Cobb left Saturday's game in the first half with a right shoulder injury. It sounds like he avoided a major injury, but we'll know more about his availability for Week 1 after Sunday's tests.
Sat Aug 29 201520:30Randall Cobb: Suffers Shoulder Injury Saturday
Cobb was removed from Saturday's game versus the Eagles due to a right shoulder injury, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
For a team that lost Jordy Nelson (knee) for the season last Sunday, Cobb's departure is cause for concern in Packerland. After an evaluation, the Packers will likely reveal the nature of the injury, but Cobb has almost certainly played his last snap of Saturday's contest.

Cobb caught one pass for 16 yards in Thursday's preseason opener against the Patriots.
Cobb wasn't in Thursday's game long, but he's healthy and set to start at receiver in the Packers' potent passing attack, a scenario that foreshadows another season of fantasy relevance for the soon to be 25-year-old wideout.
Sat Mar 7 201522:23Randall Cobb: Re-Signs With Packers
Cobb agreed to a four-year, $40 million contract with the Packers on Saturday, ESPN's Adam Scheffer reports.
Talk about Cobb's potential destination in free agency can be put to rest, as he will be heading back to Green Bay for four more years. Cobb is coming off his best career season -- one in which he tallied 91 receptions, 1,287 yards, and 12 receiving touchdowns -- and he will remain a key component in the Packers' passing attack moving forward.

Cobb had seven catches for 62 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's loss to Seattle in the NFC Championship Game.
Cobb caught a 13-yard touchdown in the first quarter that put Green Bay ahead 13-0. He was less of a factor as the game progressed, however, but he led the team with 10 targets. Coach Mike McCarthy also used Cobb in the backfield, and he logged one carry for three yards. Cobb is a free agent heading into the offseason, and it remains to be seen whether Green Bay will be willing to give him a new deal, which will be much more lucrative.

ESPN's Jason Wilde relays via FOX's Jay Glazer that Cobb -- who is in uniform on Sunday -- was hospitalized Saturday night for three hours due to fears that the wideout might have appendicitis.
In any case, Wilde confirms that Cobb is active and will play in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Seahawks.

Cobb caught eight passes on 11 targets for 116 yards in Sunday's 26-21 playoff win over the Cowboys.
Cobb and Davante Adams were each targeted 11 times by QB Aaron Rodgers in the game, with Cobb's biggest catch coming on a tipped pass on a third-and-11 play late in the game that helped Green Bay seal the win Sunday. Next up for Cobb and the Packers is a matchup against a tough Seattle defense in next weekend's NFC Championship game.

Cobb caught 4-of-5 targets for 80 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's win over the Lions.
In a game with the NFC North title and a first-round bye on the line, Cobb stepped up, scoring his 11th and 12th touchdowns of the season. For those that play in postseason leagues, note that the Packers will face either the Cowboys or the winner of the Cardinals-Panthers wild-card game in two weeks.

Cobb had 11 catches on 14 targets for 131 yards Sunday against the Bucs.
Cobb led the Packers in targets, receptions and receiving yards, though quarterback Aaron Rodgers' lone touchdown went to Jordy Nelson. Cobb hit the 100-yard mark for the fifth time this season, and first since Week 11 against the Eagles. The Packers clinched a playoff spot with the win Sunday, and they'll face off against the Lions in Week 17 to determine the winner of the NFC North, which means Cobb should get his full workload. However, the Lions boast one of the best defenses in the NFL, and they held Cobb to just three catches for 29 yards back in Week 3.

Cobb had seven catches on 13 targets for 96 yards Sunday against the Bills.
Cobb led the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards, though Jordy Nelson had a shot to overtake him on the latter two, but he dropped a sure 94-yard touchdown late in the game. The Packers return home in Week 16 to take on a Buccaneers defense allowing the ninth-most passing yards per game this season, while only four teams have allowed more passing touchdowns, which should keep Cobb high in the wideout rankings.

Cobb caught 4-of-5 targets for 58 yards in Monday's 43-37 win over the Falcons.
Cobb was efficient on the chances he got, but the targets were dominated by Jordy Nelson (10) and Eddie Lacy (nine). While Cobb did get another touch on an end-around in the red zone, he was stopped for a loss of one yard on the play. He's now gone four straight games without a touchdown, after scoring 10 through Green Bay's first nine games. The torrid pace from earlier this season never figured to continue, but Cobb is still a decent bet to reach the end zone each week, despite the recent results. The Packers will face a tough Bills defense in Buffalo on Sunday.

Cobb had seven catches on 11 targets for 85 yards and ran twice for eight yards in Sunday's 26-21 win over the Patriots.
Cobb took somewhat of a backseat to rookie WR Davante Adams, who caught 6-of-11 targets for a career-high 121 yards. Even still, Cobb played an important role in the win, making a couple of nice third-down catches, including a huge seven-yard grab in the final two minutes to seal the win for Green Bay. He'll get a favorable matchup in Week 14, taking on a suspect Falcons' secondary.

Cobb had four catches on five targets for 58 yards Sunday against the Vikings.
Cobb came into the game on a seven-game streak of scoring at least one touchdown or recording at least 100 yards, though with the Packers focusing on the run Sunday, his fantasy upside became limited. Nevertheless, he remains a very solid fantasy option, though he's got a relatively tough matchup in Week 13 against the Patriots.
