Fri Feb 22 201309:02Rasheed Wallace runs in practice Thursday
Rasheed Wallace (foot) was finally able to resume running in Thursday's practice.
There is still no timetable for Sheed's return, and the signing of Kenyon Martin could be an indication that the Knicks are skeptical of either Wallace or Marcus Camby (foot) helping the team this season.

Tue Feb 19 201308:43Rasheed Wallace expected to practice Tuesday
Rasheed Wallace, who has been day-to-day since December with his foot injury, is finally expected to return to practice on Tuesday.
We've heard this before with Sheed, so we're not buying into it just yet. The veteran is not expected to play on Wednesday, and if he winds up aggravating his injury in practice, the Knicks will probably hit the free agent market for a potential replacement. If and when Wallace does play, he's not expected to eclipse 10 minutes per contest.

Thu Feb 14 201318:42Rasheed Wallace likely won't top 9-10 minutes
Coach Mike Woodson says Rasheed Wallace (foot) likely won't play more than nine to 10 minutes a night when he returns.
Wallace was averaging almost 15 minutes per game before his "day-to-day" injury sidelined him for two months. Sheed could resume practicing with the Knicks after the All-Star break, but Woodson conceded Thursday that Wallace will "never be 100 percent." Whatever value Wallace had during the early part of the season is gone and is unlikely to return.

Wed Feb 13 201318:20Woodson hoping Sheed will practice Tuesday
Coach Mike Woodson is hoping Rasheed Wallace (foot) will be able to practice Tuesday when the Knicks return from the All-Star break.
As of Monday, Wallace had yet to begin running, so he'll likely need some rapid progress between now and Tuesday in order to practice. Even if he does work with the team Tuesday, Sheed still has yet to be cleared for contact work, which he'll need to do before playing in a game. Woodson is much less optimistic about Marcus Camby (foot), who remains without a return timetable.

Mon Feb 11 201309:27Rasheed Wallace still not doing contact work
Rasheed Wallace (foot) is still not doing contact work, and the "next phase" in his rehab will be Wallace running and resuming contact drills.
The fact that Wallace isn't even running yet shows the humor behind Sheed's "day-to-day" tag, but we all knew he was going to be out for an extended period. The team will reportedly assess the veteran after the All-Star break, and "if things aren't looking good," the Knicks could be in the free agent market for a backup big man.

Wed Feb 6 201315:07Rasheed Wallace hopes to practice next week
Rasheed Wallace (foot) said Wednesday he hopes to practice next week.
Wallace has been "day-to-day" since Dec. 15, but it's been obvious for quite some time that his injury was far more serious than the Knicks let on. Coach Mike Woodson admitted recently that 'Sheed is unlikely to be 100 percent at any point this season, but he hopes Wallace will be "good enough to give us some productive minutes." For his part, Wallace said Wednesday it's "killing him" not to be out there, but that doesn't change the fact that he'll have no impact in fantasy formats.

Tue Feb 5 201309:31Wallace won't be fully healthy this season
Rasheed Wallace (foot), who is expected to return to practice after the All-Star break, is unlikely to be 100 percent healthy at any point this season.
Wallace has been listed as day-to-day since December 15 with his foot injury. "I think he'll be good enough to give us some productive minutes but he'll never play real big minutes," Mike Woodson said of Wallace. Obviously, that minute allotment is not going to make an impact in any fantasy league.

Mon Feb 4 201318:21Rasheed Wallace (foot) could return in Feb.
Rasheed Wallace (foot) could return after the All-Star break, according to Mike Woodson.
As pointed out by Frank Isola of the Daily News, a return later this month would mean Sheed has been officially day-to-day for well over two months. He's not expected to play more than 10 minutes per game when he does return.

Wed Jan 30 201311:34Rasheed Wallace not expected back this week
Rasheed Wallace (foot) is not expected to practice this week.
This goes against a statement from Mike Woodson, who expected Wallace back this week. At this point, we'll be surprised if he's back before the All-Star break.

Tue Jan 29 201308:50Rasheed Wallace should practice this week
Rasheed Wallace (foot) is expected to return to practice this week.
The NY Post speculates that Wallace's return could impact Amare Stoudemire's minutes, but that really shouldn't be the case. STAT has been playing well in his bench role while the Knicks will do anything and everything to keep Wallace healthy the rest of the year.

Fri Jan 25 201316:48Rasheed Wallace only has so many games left?
Beat writer Marc Berman suggests that the Knicks' medical staff believes Rasheed Wallace only has "so many games left" on his troublesome left foot.
Wallace is dealing with a stress reaction, which is the beginnings of a stress fracture. It's the kind of injury that gets worse with wear and tear, so the Knicks are just shutting Sheed down for now. They'll figure out a program to get him ready to contribute in the playoffs. That will likely mean limited minutes over the final 20 games of the season.

Mon Jan 21 201309:01Rasheed Wallace update: He's still rehabbing
There is no update on the status of Rasheed Wallace (foot), who remains out indefinitely.
"He's still rehabbing," Mike Woodson said. "That's about it." While Wallace has scoffed at the notion he's done for the season, there is no timetable for his return.

Fri Jan 18 201308:14Woodson, Wallace reiterate Wallace will play
Mike Woodson and Rasheed Wallace both reiterated that Wallace was not done for the season with a foot injury.
"He'll play eventually," Woodson said. "No, my season ain't over," Wallace added. The Knicks continue to play it coy with Wallace's injury, but he remains on the sidelines indefinitely.

Thu Jan 17 201307:32Rasheed Wallace: I will play again this year
Rasheed Wallace (foot) said that he will play again this season.
A previous report from ESPN New York stated that the Knicks were concerned Wallace could miss the rest of the season, but 'Sheed doesn't want his comeback attempt derailed by the injury. He remains out indefinitely right now, and there is no timetable for his return.

Wed Jan 16 201317:16Report: Knicks fear Sheed done for season
The Knicks are worried Rasheed Wallace (foot) will miss an extended period of time and possibly the rest of the season, two league sources told ESPNNewYork.com's Ian Begley.
Considering Wallace has already missed more than a month with the injury and there's been no clear return date set, we'd say the "extended period of time" has already happened. Now, whether Wallace returns this season appears to be of legitimate concern, although not for fantasy owners. Wallace had minimal value when healthy, but this report appears to confirm that Sheed's foot injury is much more serious than the team has let on.

Wed Jan 16 201310:41Knicks don't know when Wallace will return
The Knicks remain uncertain when Rasheed Wallace (foot) will return.
He's out indefinitely and his foot injury is obviously more serious than the team has disclosed since he's missed so much time.

Tue Jan 15 201308:12Rasheed Wallace doubtful again on Thursday
Rasheed Wallace (foot) is doubtful to play on Thursday in London against the Pistons.
No surprise here, as Wallace's foot still isn't right. The Knicks haven't provided a timetable for Wallace's recovery, but he's been out since December 13.

Fri Jan 11 201309:14Rasheed Wallace will not play again Friday
Rasheed Wallace (foot) will miss his 14th straight game on Friday.
The Knicks have called Wallace's injury a "stress reaction," but the length of time he's been out indicates it could be something more serious than that. Mike Woodson expects him back this season, but nobody knows when he might return.

Mon Jan 7 201311:50Rasheed Wallace out again on Monday
Rasheed Wallace (foot) will not play on Monday vs. the Celtics.
Sheed is out indefinitely and we're going to stop updating his status on a day-to-day basis until he shows real signs of progress toward a return. Marcus Camby will once again start at power forward with Amare Stoudemire off the bench.

Thu Jan 3 201310:30Rasheed Wallace out on Thursday, Saturday
Rasheed Wallace (foot) will not play on Thursday or Saturday.
By that time, he'll have missed 11 straight games. Although his contract doesn't become fully guaranteed until next week, the Knicks have no intention of waiving him.
