Wed Oct 31 201215:33Luke Walton earns role off Cavs' bench
Luke Walton played 12 minutes off the bench in Cleveland's victory on Tuesday, and it sounds like he'll be a fixture in Byron Scott's rotation.
"With [Walton] in the second unit, they run the offense better," said Scott. "He's a veteran guy ... He's a leader out there for that second unit and they have a lot of respect for Luke." While Walton carves out a 10-15 minute role, guys like Samardo Samuels, Jon Leuer and Omri Casspi have an uphill battle to crack the rotation.

Mon Mar 19 201201:12Luke Walton dressed but doesn't play Sunday
Luke Walton, acquired in the trade with the Lakers, dressed for Sunday's game but didn't play.
Walton says his back feels fine but he's played in just nine games all season and likely needs some time to adjust before possibly entering the rotation. He's under contract for over $6 million next season, so the Cavs will likely see if they can squeeze some production out of him.

"We weren't on the same page, Walton said about this season with the Lakers. "I felt great and was playing well. Mike [Brown] said he was going with a certain rotation." Walton will have a better chance of actually playing in Cleveland, but he still shouldn't be on your fantasy radar.

Thu Mar 15 201213:52Luke Walton traded to Cleveland Cavaliers
Luke Walton has been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of a deal that sends Ramon Sessions to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The fact that Mitch Kupchak got someone to take Walton's ridiculous contract is incredible, and this was a move that the Lakers had to make. Walton has struggled to crack Los Angeles' rotation all season, but there is a chance that he'll see some playing time in Cleveland. Regardless, he's not a fantasy option in any league.

Luke Walton will return to the Lakers' rotation after sitting out the past two games against San Antonio and New Orleans.
