Wed Nov 5 201413:10Chris Douglas-Roberts: Struggling Thus Far This Season
Douglas-Roberts has not made a field goal (3 FGA per game) in his three games played this season, despite averaging 13.7 minutes per contest.
Douglas-Roberts can provide the Clippers with real life value, thanks to his energy and defense off their bench. He provides nothing for fantasy owners, especially considering his current playing time, and is better left on the waiver-wire. If thrust into a starting role, Douglas-Roberts could see some value for steals, but would even then be limited to deep-league value.

Douglas-Roberts (ankle) will not serve as the starting small forward in next Thursday's season opener, Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.
Douglas-Roberts' spot will be taken over by Matt Barnes, who saw a career-high 28 minutes last season. It's currently unclear if this is due to injury -- he suffered a sprained ankle in last Friday's exhibition game -- or if this is head coach Doc Rivers' plan for the entirety of the season.

Douglas-Roberts suffered a sprained ankle in Friday's preseason game against Utah and will not play Saturday against Denver, the Clippers' official site reports.
Coach Doc Rivers said the injury is not very serious, so it is possible that Douglas-Roberts could be back on the floor as early as Tuesday against the Warriors. Joe Ingles will start in Douglas-Roberts' place.
Thu Oct 9 201412:48Chris Douglas-Roberts: Defense Could Lead to Minutes
Douglas-Roberts earned praise from coach Doc Rivers after Tuesday's performance against the Warriors, specifically for his effort on defense, according to the LA Times' Ben Bolch.
Douglas-Roberts is only on the radar in the deepest of leagues at the moment, but could be a legitimate pick up in deeper formats if he begins to carve out a role for the Clippers. Aside from the potential for steals, if Douglas-Roberts can play meaningful minutes in an offense run by Chris Paul, he could become a cheap deeper league add.
Thu Sep 4 201412:37Douglas-Roberts signed one-year
Douglas-Roberts signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the Clippers on Thursday, the Detroit Free Press reports.
The addition of Douglas-Roberts brings the Clippers' roster to 13 player heading into training camp. The team is expected to re-sign Hedo Turkoglu at some point and remains in contention for the services of veteran marksman Ray Allen. Douglas-Roberts, 27, spent last season with the Bobcats, signing on in December after an injury to Jeff Taylor. The Memphis product averaged 6.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 20.7 minutes per game.
Wed Sep 3 201414:26Douglas-Roberts expected to sign with Clippers
Douglas-Roberts is expected to sign with the Clippers, the Orange County Register reports.
Douglas-Roberts resurfaced in the NBA last season with Charlotte, making 49 appearances, including eight starts for a playoff team. In 20.7 minutes per game, CDR averaged 6.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.0 three-pointers, while shooting 39 percent from long-range. Should he complete a deal with the Clippers, Douglas-Roberts would compete with Reggie Bullock and rookie C.J. Wilcox for reserve playing time at both wing positions.
Sat Apr 26 201422:00Chris Douglas-Roberts scores 17 off bench
Chris Douglas-Roberts played 25 minutes and hit 6-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for 17 points, three rebounds and one assist in Saturday's loss.
He scored a total of seven points in Games 1 & 2, so it's hard to suggest using him in Game 4. Gary Neal played 28 minutes off the bench, but didn't do much outside of scoring nine points.

Mon Mar 31 201422:46Chris Douglas-Roberts plays well vs. Wizards
Chris Douglas-Roberts shot 7-of-9 from the field for 18 points vs. the Wizards on Monday with three boards and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes.
Coach Steve Clifford has kept him in the lineup a little more than usual due to his improved play. Douglas-Roberts played 28.6 minutes per game over his last five, averaging 10.8 points, 3.2 boards, 0.6 steals and 1.0 triples. With Gary Neal back, CDR is likely going to have some inconsistencies.

Wed Mar 26 201422:00Chris Douglas-Roberts plays well off bench
Chris Douglas-Roberts hit 6-of-14 shots and three 3-pointers for 16 points, five rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's win.
The absence of Gary Neal (ankle, knee) helped him tonight, as CDR saw 27 minutes. He's been getting some nice run of late and is averaging 10.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 3-pointers over his last five games, making him worth a deep-league look. He also hit a long two-pointer in overtime to help seal the win for the Bobcats.

Thu Mar 20 201400:01Chris Douglas-Roberts scores 13 off bench
Chris Douglas-Roberts came off the bench for 13 points, three rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers in 22 minutes on Wednesday.
He had scored a total of three points over his previous two games, so there's probably nothing to get excited about here with CDR.

Wed Mar 12 201422:18Douglas-Roberts scores 10 points in 21 mins
Chris Douglas-Roberts moved back to the bench and scored 10 points on 2-of-5 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes on Wednesday.
CDR did well to stay productive tonight with Gerald Henderson (calf) back in the fold, but it looks like he and Gary Neal will vie for backup shooting guard honors on most nights. That doesn't bode well for his fantasy value and owners can move on outside of very deep formats.

Mon Mar 10 201421:51Roberts scores nine points with five boards
Chris Douglas-Roberts scored nine points on 2-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with five rebounds, two steals and one block in another start at shooting guard for Gerald Henderson (calf) on Monday.
Henderson could return as soon as Wednesday and forward-looking owners may want to make the preemptive cut since Henderson is all but certainly going to crush CDR's value. Still, it's been an impressive showing for a guy whose career appeared to be on the ropes.

Mon Mar 10 201410:15Chris Douglas-Roberts earns coach's praise
Bobcats coach Steve Clifford recently praised Chris Douglas-Roberts, who has scored at least 12 points in four straight games while filling in for Gerald Henderson (calf).
"It's about guys quickly getting to their spots [offensively] in case you don't score out of the first option. [Douglas-Roberts] is good at all of that stuff," Clifford said. "And defensively he knows all the coverages and gives a good effort all of the time." The Bobcats haven't provided much information about Henderson's injury and he's due to be re-evaluated this week, so CDR's shelf-life hasn't expired quite yet.

Sat Mar 8 201423:02Chris Douglas-Roberts scores 15 in start
Chris Douglas-Roberts started for the Bobcats on Saturday and hit 6-of-10 shots for 15 points, two rebounds, two steals and a 3-pointer in 30 minutes of a loss to Memphis.
Gary Neal (27 minutes, 7 points) came off the bench tonight, as Gerald Henderson missed another game with a calf injury. We still don't know when Hendo will be back, and as long as he's out, CDR looks like a safe play. He's averaging 13.25 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.75 steals and 2.5 3-pointers over his last four games. But once Henderson is back in action, all bets are off with CDR.

Fri Mar 7 201423:18Chris Douglas-Roberts scores 14 in start
Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 14 points in his second consecutive start on Friday with nine boards, one assist, two steals, one block and four 3-pointers.
He hit his four treys early in the game and filled up the rest of the stat sheet early on, as well. Coach Steve Clifford likes Douglas-Roberts in the starting lineup and with Gerald Henderson (calf) out this weekend, CDR will get another look against the Grizzlies on Saturday.

Wed Mar 5 201422:36Chris Douglas-Roberts plays well in start
Chris Douglas-Roberts got the start at shooting guard on Wednesday and hit 4-of-7 shots and three 3-pointers for 12 points, two rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Gerald Henderson will miss some time with a calf injury and it looks like CDR will continue to start, as the Bobcats want to keep bringing Gary Neal off the bench in order to keep the second unit intact. Neal played 25 minutes and hit 3-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers for 10 points, four rebounds and an assist. Neither player is a must-own at this point, but as long as Henderson is out, both are worth a look in daily leagues.

Wed Mar 5 201418:15Chris Douglas-Roberts starts, Neal off bench
Chris Douglas-Roberts will start against the Pacers on Wednesday.
Gary Neal will come off the bench because coach Steve Clifford wants to keep his second unit together. Plus, the extra size of Douglas-Roberts will help against the length of Indiana's starting unit. If CDR gets most of his minutes at shooting guard, that likely means Anthony Tolliver and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist may see more minutes. Neal is likely a better play than CDR for a higher usage rate with the second unit.

Fri Feb 21 201420:39Chris Douglas-Roberts gets stiches
Chris Douglas-Roberts received six stitches above his left eye in the second quarter on Friday.
He looks like he'll be ready to return and should see some minutes tonight while the Bobcats wait for clearance on Luke Ridnour and Gary Neal.

Wed Jan 15 201414:09Chris Douglas-Roberts plays under one minute
Chris Douglas-Roberts played under one minute during Tuesday's win vs. the Knicks, as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist's return knocked him from the rotation.
It's possible that CDR will resurface with playing time as a backup SF, but his quiet play this year suggests that he'll have zero value off the Bobcats' bench.

Sat Jan 11 201423:09Chris Douglas-Roberts returns from hip injury
Chris Douglas-Roberts briefly exited Saturday's game with a hip injury -- he started the second half but finished scoreless with zero rebounds in 29 minutes.
CDR attempted just one field goal and his ascension to the starting lineup hasn't paid off for the Bobcats, who came into this game as the No. 8 seed in the East despite their lackluster 15-22 record (fourth place in the Southeast division). Whatever value he might have will be scuttled by Michael Kidd-Gilchrist's expected return this week, so enjoy it while it lasts.
