Angels recalled RHP Matt Palmer from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Palmer has missed a good chunk of the 2010 season due to a right shoulder sprain. Now healthy again, he will be used in low-pressure relief scenarios.

Palmer has been on the DL since May 11 due to a sprained right shoulder. He recently began a rehab assignment and has 7 1/3 scoreless innings over his first three appearances with Triple-A Salt Lake.

Matt Palmer returned from the minor league disabled list Sunday and retired all seven batters that he faced for Triple-A Salt Lake.
Palmer spent the last two months on the disabled list due to a strain in his right shoulder. He will attempt to reach the major leagues again this season, though the odds are probably against him. In 23 innings for the Angels earlier this year he posted a 6.26 ERA, 2.04 WHIP and 11/16 K/BB ratio.

He isn't necessarily the worst pitcher in the Angels' bullpen right now -- and that's not saying much -- but unfortunately for him, he had options at his disposal. Palmer has an ugly 6.26 ERA and 2.04 WHIP over 23 innings this season.
