Wed Sep 15 202115:13Willy Adames Participates In Pregame Drills
Milwaukee Brewers infielder Willy Adames (quad) participated in pregame drills ahead of Wednesday's game against the Detroit Tigers. He ran and participated in fielding drills on Wednesday. Adames was placed on the 10-day injured list last Sunday with a quad injury. The 26-year-old remains day-to-day but is trending in the right direction to be activated from the injured list by early next week. "We are in a good spot and I don't have to rush it and try to be quicker," said Adames. "I think we can take the right time to get rid of it completely and come back 100 percent. I feel about 90 [percent] right now. I feel great." Luis Urias will continue to handle shortstop duties while Adames is sidelined. Urias has played well in Adames' absence, slashing .273/.360/.455 with a home run and three RBI over his last six contests.

Sun Sep 5 202116:40Willy Adames Lands On Injured List
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (quad) has been placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday. He exited early during Saturday's game due to a quad issue. It's a shame since Adams has been nursing a quad issue and recently returned, but aggravated it on Saturday. The Brewers will be forced to place Adames on the injured list. Hopefully, the young infielder doesn't miss more than 10 days. In the meantime, Luis Urias figures to see more playing time. However, he doesn't offer the same type of upside with the bat. Fantasy managers should try and hold Adames through the injury.

Sat Sep 4 202122:41Willy Adames Exits Due To Quad Issue
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (quad) was pulled out of Saturday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Adams recently has missed time due to a quad issue, but was in the lineup on Saturday. Sadly, he didn't last long and left due to quad discomfort, according to manager Craig Counsell. The organization has not given a timetable for his return. Hopefully, Adams is able to avoid a stint to the injured list. He has been an important part to the Brewers offense. Fantasy managers should hold onto Adames and hope this isn't a serious injury.

Mon Aug 30 202122:18Willy Adames Expected To Return Tuesday
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (quad) is expected to return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's game. He has been progressing well from a quad injury and was able to go through a pregame workout prior to Monday's contest. The young shortstop has not played in nearly a week, but it sounds like that streak is going to end soon. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on Adames because it sounds like he could be ready to play as early as Tuesday.

Fri Aug 27 202119:49Willy Adames Remains Out Of Lineup Friday
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (quad) will miss his third straight game on Friday as he continues to deal with a quad injury. The issue first popped up over the weekend, and it caused him to exit Tuesday's game early. Adames has been on fire ever since joining Milwaukee, slashing .295/.379/.547 with 17 homers, four steals, 50 RBI and 51 runs scored over 81 games. Managers should continue to consider him day-to-day for now, but it's possible he might be facing an IL stint if there's no improvement soon. In the meantime, Luis Urias is starting at shortstop and batting second against the Twins.

Thu Aug 26 202112:48Willy Adames Sitting Out Again On Thursday
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (quad) will be held out of the starting lineup for the second straight game as the team faces Sonny Gray and the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday. Adames exited Tuesday's game against the Reds due to a quad injury that had first come up for him over the past weekend. He should still be considered day-to-day, but at this point, a trip to the injured list wouldn't be a huge surprise. Adames has given the Brewers a big boost both offensively and defensively since joining the team in May. He's slashed .295/.379/.547 over 81 games with the team. Luis Urias will make his second straight start at shortstop on Thursday while Jace Peterson will cover Urias's typical third base post.

Tue Aug 24 202121:28Willy Adames Exits Early With Left-Quad Discomfort
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (quad) was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds with left quadriceps discomfort. He picked up the injury while running the bases and was removed from the game for precautionary reasons. Adames went 1-for-1 with a double and a run scored before exiting. The severity of the 25-year-old's injury is unknown at this time, and he's considered day-to-day. Adames was replaced in the game by Jace Peterson. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation, and updates should be provided after the game. Peterson would see an uptick in playing time if Adames were to miss any games.

Mon Aug 16 202110:21Willy Adames Remains Productive In Victory
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base, and two runs scored in Sunday's 2-1 win over Pittsburgh. The shortstop scored on an error in the first inning and came home on a Christian Yelich double in the third to account for all of Milwaukee's run-scoring in the contest. Adames added his fifth stolen base in nine attempts. He's been great in August, going 16-for-52 (.308) with four home runs, four doubles, seven RBI, 10 runs scored, and two steals in his last 13 games. The amazing run continues for Adames, he appears to have settled in nicely to his new home in Milwaukee.

Wed Aug 11 202110:37Willy Adames Crushes 21st Home Run Against Cubs
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in a 4-2 win over the Cubs during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader. The shortstop led off the fourth inning with his 21st homer of the season, setting a new career high and getting the Brewers on the board. Sixteen of Adames' long balls have come in just 68 games since he was traded from Tampa Bay, and on the season he sports a .491 SLG and .826 OPS, both of which would be personal bests. He's simply been amazing since being traded, and he should be rostered in all fantasy formats.

Wed Aug 4 202110:17Willy Adames Hits Another Home Run In Loss To Pirates
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, double and three runs scored Tuesday against Pittsburgh. Adames did the majority of his damage on a home run against Max Kranick. He now has 19 homers on the season and has slugged three in his last five starts. While he's produced plenty of power, Tuesday's effort marks only his third multi-hit effort in his last 13 games. Adames now has a .260/.336/.488 line across 411 plate appearances on the campaign. He's been amazing since being traded over to the Brewers, batting in the heart of their order, and seemingly turned into the team leader as of late.

Sat Jul 31 202114:40Willy Adames Stays Hot With Another Two-Run Blast
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, a walk, and two total run scored in Friday's 9-5 win over Atlanta. The shortstop's recent power surge continued, as he has gone 8-for-21 (.381) during his current five-game hitting streak. Adames has a .262/.341/.481 slash line across 393 plate appearances this season, but he's been impressive with a .938 OPS since he joined Milwaukee in May. He's up to 17 homers, 56 RBI, 55 runs scored, three stolen bases, and 24 doubles in 101 games. If Adames is still available in fantasy leagues, he probably won't be for much longer with this type of production.
