Wed Jul 22 201511:07Stuckey expects to resume role as bench scorer this season
Stuckey expects to resume his role as bench scorer this season, NBA.com reports. "I think me coming off the bench is where I'm most comfortable at," Stuckey said. "I'm just looking forward to getting back in that role and contributing as much as I can."
Stuckey registered his most efficient shooting season to date, one he attributes to repetition and shooting sessions with former teammate Damjan Rudez. After urging coach Vogel to bring him off the bench prior to the All-Star break last season, Stuckey's fortunes turned around. In 26 games as a reserve, Stuckey compiled 14.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.3 three-pointers in 27 minutes per game. The addition of Monta Ellis clouds playing time distribution, and Paul George's return reduces shot attempts within the offense. While Stuckey may not be able to duplicate last season's second-half effort, the Pacers' lack of point guard depth opens up additional minutes in the rotation.
Sun Jul 5 201514:24Stuckey agreed to three-year
Stuckey agreed to a three-year, $21 million deal with the Pacers on Sunday, Indy Star Sports reports.
Stuckey's contract also will reportedly contain an opt out for the third year, giving him the potential to be a free agent again following the 2016-17 season. In his first year with the Pacers last season, Stuckey finished with averages of 12.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 0.8 steals over 26 minutes per game. After seeing some success in an expanded role during the 2014-15 season due to injuries higher up in the depth chart, Stuckey will have the opportunity to see minutes in the mid-to-high 20's again, although the Pacers' addition of Monta Ellis may limit that opportunity. He'll continue to serve as guard depth off the bench.

Stuckey averaged 12.6 points (44% FG, 39% 3PT, 82% FT), 0.8 three-pointers, 3.1 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 0.8 steals in 26 minutes per game for 71 regular season games in 2014-15. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
After seven years with the Pistons, Stuckey joined an injury-plagued Pacers roster, dealing with various injuries of his own throughout the season. The Pacers' starting lineup was in constant flux with players returning from and falling to injuries, and as a result Stuckey saw time both as a starter and a bench player, starting in 36 of the 71 games he played in. The 29-year-old guard performed adequately in fantasy, given his difficult situation for consistent minutes, finishing as the 123rd ranked player in eight-category leagues for 2014-15. As a free agent, Stuckey's value depends on what team he'll play for in 2015-16.

Stuckey will not return to Sunday's game against the Heat due to a sore right wrist, Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Stuckey is familiar with wrist issues, as the same problem cost him multiple games earlier in the month. It appears the injury flared up again Sunday, causing him to miss the remainder of the game. His next chance to return will come Wednesday against the Knicks, but he missed multiple contests earlier with the injury, so questionable is probably the right tg for him at this point.
