Sun Mar 16 201415:07Greg Oden starting vs. Dwight Howard on Sun.
Greg Oden will start at center vs. the Rockets on Sunday.
The move will push Shane Battier to the bench. Oden going up against Dwight Howard doesn't seem right and the Heat won't be giving him many minutes today. He'll join Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh in the starting lineup.

Greg Oden will be active for Wednesday's game vs. the Nets.
He got some rest on the second half of a back-to-back set on Monday. Chris Andersen has played well, so the Heat really won't need Oden much.

Wed Mar 5 201409:48Greg Oden will be available vs. San Antonio
Greg Oden, who sat out Tuesday's game as a precaution, will be available vs. the Spurs on Thursday.
The Heat didn't want Oden to play in back-to-back games, even though he's only been getting a handful of minutes, but he hasn't suffered any setbacks. Miami brought him on board to provide depth and size during the playoffs, and he's not a fantasy option in any leagues.

Tue Mar 4 201418:46Greg Oden out Tuesday as a precaution
Greg Oden will sit out Tuesday's game as a precaution.
Oden only played five minutes on Monday but the Heat are being extremely careful about his workload, so they'll face Dwight Howard and the Rockets without Oden's help. He hasn't blocked a shot in 48 minutes over his past six appearances, just one more reason to ignore him in fantasy leagues.

Sun Mar 2 201411:21Erik Spoelstra praises Greg Oden's play
In a recent interview Erik Spoelstra praised Greg Oden's play.
"He's a smart, heady player that's picked up our system in a short period of time... and he's been putting in a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes, just to be available every single night like he is," said Spoelstra. It's nice to hear positive things about the former No. 1 overall pick, however, Oden is not a fantasy option in any league.

Sun Feb 23 201418:22Greg Oden plays 13 minutes in start
Greg Oden played 13 minutes in his first start since the 2009-10 season during a win against the Bulls on Sunday with five points and five boards
He still did not look right and his jogs up the court look like he's really laboring through the game. Oden getting a start with his championship-calber team is a feel-good story, but it's not something folks should be monitoring with their fantasy hats on.

Sun Feb 23 201414:50Shocker: Greg Oden will start Sunday vs. CHI
Greg Oden will start in place of LeBron James on Sunday vs. the Bulls.
This is a shocking development and there's a good chance nobody saw this coming at all. Oden's played in five of Miami's last nine games, averaging 2.2 points, 2.4 boards, 0.6 steals and 0.6 blocks in 7.2 minutes. This is another chapter in a great story for Oden, but he's still unlikely to be a fantasy asset. We'll be watching him closely.

Sat Jan 25 201415:28Greg Oden (knee) probable to play Sunday
Greg Oden (knee) is expected to be available for Sunday's game.
He played a season-high 10 minutes on Thursday without any setbacks. He didn't practice on Saturday, instead receiving extra treatment while doing some individual workouts, but coach Erik Spoelstra said that "everything's been good" since Oden joined the active rotation.

Thu Jan 23 201422:54Greg Oden plays 10 minutes vs. Lakers
Greg Oden played a season-high 10 minutes against the Lakers on Thursday with five points and five boards.
He looked good tonight and still has some glaring conditioning issues. Oden's five boards tonight exceeded his previous season total of three and his offensive game also seemed to make some strides. This is a great story and all, but fantasy owners can leave him on the wire.

Sat Jan 18 201423:13Greg Oden plays five minutes off bench
Greg Oden played five minutes off the bench against the Bobcats on Saturday, scoring just one point on no field goal attempts.
He went 1-of-2 from the line and turned the ball over. Oden was huffing a puffing a little in this game and he's not really in game shape. The Heat have been quiet with their plan on Oden, but it's fairly clear it's not going to translate into fantasy value.

Fri Jan 17 201417:54Greg Oden warming up, is a game-time call
Greg Oden (knee) is warming up for Friday's game against the Sixers.
He is technically a game-time decision, but most signs point to Oden playing tonight. It was great to see him on the floor in Wednesday's loss to the Wizards and he had a couple dunks to help give the Heat a little boost. Still, he's not a very attractive fantasy option.

Fri Jan 17 201411:03Greg Oden could play Friday vs. Sixers
Greg Oden (knee) could play Friday against the 76ers.
Oden saw eight minutes of playing time on Wednesday night in his first game action since 2009 and is being handled with kid gloves as the Heat try to keep him healthy. "We will stick with the plan," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "And the plan will be strength training, core work, hip-strengthening work and if he can't do those then we won't play him." We'll be updating Oden's status as soon as it becomes available, but fantasy owners need not concern themselves with his situation.

Thu Jan 16 201416:54Greg Oden (knee) listed as day-to-day
Greg Oden (knee) did some light activities during Thursday's practice, and the Heat are listing him as 'day-to-day'.
He had no soreness or unusual swelling after playing eight minutes in his debut on Wednesday, but the Heat will likely determine his status on a game-by-game basis. There's nothing to see here for standard-league fantasy purposes.

Wed Jan 15 201422:29Greg Oden makes 2014 debut for Heat
Greg Oden played eight minutes and hit 2-of-3 shots for six points, two rebounds and zero blocks in Wednesday's debut for the Heat.
This was his first action since December of 2009, and while it was great to see him actually play basketball, you have to wonder if the Heat were throwing him into the deep end to see if he would sink or swim. If they feel like he sinks, they could be ready to move onto Andrew Bynum, but that's just speculation on our part. In any case, congratulations to Oden for making his return. Stay tuned to see if he can build off tonight's eight-minute performance, but there's still no reason to pick him up in most leagues.

Wed Jan 15 201420:28Greg Oden starts the second half vs. Wizards
Greg Oden started the second half of Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
This has quickly become one of the best stories of the season. Oden had an offensive putback dunk and ran a pick-and-roll for two of his buckets in the first half. While we love seeing Oden out there, it's still tough to say he's worth picking up in most fantasy formats.

Wed Jan 15 201417:25Greg Oden is active for Wednesday night
Greg Oden (knee) will dress for Wednesday's game vs. the Wizards.
This is great news to hear for Oden after not appearing in a regular season game since December 2009. It's not clear if coach Erik Spoelstra will use Oden off the bench and it wouldn't be for more than a few minutes most likely. There really are no fantasy implications and it's more of just a heart-warming story.

Fri Dec 27 201321:24Greg Oden has workout, could return
Greg Oden (knee) worked out before Friday's game and could return to the lineup at some point.
Erik Spoelstra said Oden will not be playing against the Blazers on Saturday, so Oden fans can throw out that idea. He has no fantasy value and still has a long way to go. He is still out indefinitely.
