Brandon Inge is not in Sunday's lineup due to some groin soreness.
Inge made a trip to the disabled list last month with a strained groin when he was still with the Tigers. The A's are considering the injury minor, though. Inge is off to a hot start with his new team, hitting four homers while driving in 17 over 44 at-bats.

Brandon Inge hit his second grand slam in three days Thursday against the Tigers.

Wed May 9 201201:17Brandon Inge walks off with grand slam
Brandon Inge hit a walkoff grand slam to give the A's a 7-3 win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday night.
Inge is still hitting just .146, but he sure is making his hits count. In fact, he has 11 RBI with just seven hits for the season. Tonight's slam came in a situation in which a sac fly would have sufficed, but the exclamation point sure was nice. It looks like he'll be a fixture in Oakland's lineup for the foreseeable future.

Sun May 6 201217:55Brandon Inge homers in win
Brandon Inge hit a three-run homer in Sunday's win over the Rays.
Inge added a fourth RBI with a seventh-inning sac fly. The bomb was Inge's first as a member of the A's, and just his fourth hit in 24 at-bats. As expected, the pitcher-friendly American League West isn't looking poised to cure whatever ailed Inge in Detroit the past two seasons.

Brandon Inge will bat second and start at third base Tuesday night against the Red Sox.
Inge batted eighth in his A's debut on Monday, but he's moving up in the order against left-hander Felix Doubront. The 34-year-old is expected to get most of the playing time at third base moving forward, but he's only worth considering in deeper AL-only leagues.

Mon Apr 30 201214:43Brandon Inge making A's debut Monday night
Athletics signed INF Brandon Inge.
Inge is in the A's starting lineup on Monday night against the Red Sox and should see regular action at third base going forward. The 34-year-old was released by the Tigers last week after opening the season 2-for-20 (.100/.100/.300) and will hope for better results with the change of scenery. He can be ignored in fantasy leagues.

Sun Apr 29 201213:17Athletics interested in Brandon Inge?
FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal reports the Athletics are the ''front-runner'' to sign Brandon Inge.
This confirms earlier speculation that the Athletics are, in fact, interested. Inge cleared waivers and is now available to all 30 MLB teams. In Oakland, he would serve as an upgrade at third base over current starter Luke Hughes.

Fri Apr 27 201210:41A's interested in Brandon Inge
Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Athletics are expected to have some interest in the recently released Brandon Inge.
It appears that Inge won't have trouble finding a job, as the Orioles and Twins are also reportedly interested in the veteran, and Steve Gilbert of MLB.com thinks the D'Backs could have interest, as well. Inge has batted just .100/.100/.300 this season after a .197/.265/.283 line last year, but he does still play good defense at third base and can fill in at second base, catcher and the outfield, as well.

Fri Apr 27 201208:59Twins interested in former Tiger Brandon Inge
La Velle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that the Twins "will at least have a discussion" about pursing the recently released Brandon Inge.
Neal says the Twins "could decide that Danny Valencia would be better off working on his game at Triple-A Rochester," leaving Inge to platoon with Sean Burroughs at third base. He also says Inge could interest Minnesota because he could catch, which makes sense for a team that's carrying two catchers that both play other positions. The Orioles also reportedly have interest in the veteran.

Thu Apr 26 201218:40Report: O's have some interest in INF Inge
Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports that the Orioles have "some interest" in free agent infielder Brandon Inge.
Inge was given his release by the Tigers on Thursday and can sign with any team at the major league minimum. Kubatko writes that the O's "are still looking for ways to improve defense" and that they "can't completely dismiss him as possibility." The 34-year-old will probably find a new home before long, but he hasn't been a useful player for a couple years now.
