Sun Jan 26 201400:06Gustavo Ayon scores eight points vs. Bucks
Gustavo Ayon scored eight points with four boards, two assists and two steals in 28 minutes against the Bucks on Saturday.
The Bucks waived him in the offseason and he was much better than their starting center, Larry Sanders, tonight. Ayon has two productive games in a row, so if this game appeals to you, go ahead and grab him in your deep league.

Fri Jan 24 201422:52Gustavo Ayon plays 27 minutes in start
Gustavo Ayon played 27 minutes in his start at center on Friday with eight points, seven boards, two assists, four steals and two blocks.
With Pero Antic going down, the Hawks are down to Ayon as their first-string center. Ayon did not play at all in his last two games, but he might be asked to play over 24 minutes per game and he could post decent enough numbers to use in deeper formats.

Fri Jan 24 201411:27Gustavo Ayon expected to start for ATL
Gustavo Ayon is tentatively expected to start at center in Friday's game against the Spurs.
Al Horford (pectoral) is done for the year and Pero Antic (ankle) is out 2-4 weeks. It leaves Ayon as a desperation big body for the Hawks. In three starts earlier this year, he's averaged just 3.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 0.3 blocks. We wouldn't consider Ayon a realistic plug-n-play until he puts something in the box score.

Sun Jan 12 201420:58Gustavo Ayon scoreless in fill-in start at C
Gustavo Ayon started at center on Sunday but he went scoreless with seven rebounds, zero steals and zero blocks in 14 minutes vs. the Grizzlies.
Ayon has intriguing fantasy potential but it certainly wasn't on display vs. Memphis. His fantasy outlook will be even dimmer when Pero Antic (back) returns to action, and thus far none of Atlanta's big men have produced reliable fantasy value since Al Horford's season-ending pectoral surgery.

Sun Jan 12 201416:49Gustavo Ayon getting a start Sunday
Gustavo Ayon will start against the Grizzlies on Sunday.
Pero Antic is out with back spams to give Ayon his third shot as the starter. In his previous two starts, he averaged 5.0 points, 5.0 boards and 0.5 blocks in 19.5 minutes, which serve as fair expectations tonight. Mike Scott could also get some minutes in a smaller lineup. Scott has packed a potent punch in scoring over his last five, averaging 12.4 points in just 18.2 minutes.

Thu Dec 26 201323:43Gustavo Ayon plays eight minutes
Gustavo Ayon played eight minutes against the Cavs on Thursday, failing to score with three rebounds and one steal.
He checked in after the Al Horford (shoulder) injury, but checked out 12 seconds later. Ayon hasn't been able to stay healthy, so it's hard to get too excited about picking him up with Horford's status unclear. He's playing 16.1 minutes per game so far, but should see at least a handful of minutes while Horford is sidelined.

Gustavo Ayon (ankle) is available to play against the Heat on Monday.

Mon Dec 23 201312:05Gustavo Ayon (ankle) iffy to return vs. Heat
Gustavo Ayon (ankle) is questionable for Monday's road game in Miami.
He was doubtful for Friday's game so this at least indicates some progress, though Ayon remains a fringe player in the deepest fantasy leagues.

Fri Dec 20 201310:09Gustovo Ayon (ankle) doubtful for Friday
Gustavo Ayon (ankle) has been listed as doubtful for Friday's game against the Jazz.
There is still a chance that Ayon could play as the morning injury report isn't iron-clad, but it's looking as if the Hawks will be without the 28-year-old for the sixth straight game. Ayon's absence shouldn't strike fear in the hearts of fantasy owners as he's only played 20 minutes in the month of December and shouldn't be owned in even the deepest of leagues.

Wed Dec 18 201311:01Gustavo Ayon (ankle) out again on Wednesday
Gustavo Ayon (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game.
It's been nearly two weeks since Ayon initially hurt himself, and he just can't seem to stay healthy. He remains day-to-day and his absence has minimal impact on the Hawks' rotations.

Ayon is day-to-day and we will provide an update whenever it is clear he will be returning. He has no fantasy value.

Sat Dec 14 201319:13Gustavo Ayon (ankle) out again vs. Knicks
Gustavo Ayon (ankle) didn't travel with the Hawks for Saturday's game in New York.
He remains day-to-day, though his availability doesn't impact fantasy lineups as long as Al Horford and Paul Millsap are healthy.

Thu Dec 12 201314:17Gustavo Ayon (ankle, leg) may miss two games
Gustavo Ayon (ankle, leg) will not play on Friday and is doubtful for Saturday.
"I think it's going to be a couple more days," said coach Mike Budenholzer. Ayon began the season with a shoulder injury that cost him eight games and fantasy owners should avoid him unless Al Horford or Paul Millsap get injured.

Tue Dec 10 201319:23Gustavo Ayon won't play on Tuesday
Gustavo Ayon (ankle) will not play against the Thunder on Tuesday.
He was doubtful for tonight and played just 14.2 minutes per game over his last 10, so hopefully he is not in your lineup. Ayon has almost no value right now in fantasy leagues.

Tue Dec 10 201311:19Gustavo Ayon (ankle) doubtful for Tuesday
Gustavo Ayon (ankle) is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Thunder.
Ayon left Friday's game with a left ankle sprain and is still nursing that injury going into Tuesday's contest. He hasn't been a big part of the Hawks rotation lately anyway, so fantasy owners shouldn't have him on their rosters even when healthy.

Fri Dec 6 201322:23Gustavo Ayon suffers left leg injury
Gustavo Ayon suffered a left ankle sprain and a left leg contusion near the end of Friday's game against the Cavs.
He played 20 minutes in the win, scoring six points with seven boards and three assists. Ayon did not play in the last three games and hasn't been in the rotation much, so he's not on the fantasy radar in most formats.

Tue Nov 19 201322:58Gustavo Ayon quiet in start for Hawks
Gustavo Ayon started in place of Paul Millsap on Tuesday and had just four points and six rebounds in 22 minutes.
Mike Scott was much better off the bench with 15 points, 10 rebounds, a steal and a 3-pointer on 6-of-10 shooting in 28 minutes. If Millsap and his bum elbow are out again on Wednesday against the Pistons, Scott looks like he might be a better pick-and-play than Ayon.

Sat Nov 16 201301:14Ayon scores six points in start on Friday
Gustavo Ayon surprisingly started at center in Friday's win over the Sixers, playing 17 minutes with six points, four rebounds and one block.
Ayon has been intriguing in the past, but he has been way off the fantasy radar for a while and it's going to take much more than this before we pay him much attention in most formats.

Fri Nov 15 201318:56Gustavo Ayon starting, Millsap off bench
Gustavo Ayon is starting for Friday's game against the Sixers and Paul Millsap will come off the bench.
This is a bit of a shocker and Ayon will make his first start with his new team. Chances are he won't see many minutes while it's hard to imagine the team cutting down Paul Millsap's 32 minutes per game. Ayon can remain on the wire in most leagues and Millsap is one of the best power forwards in fantasy.
