Thu Feb 24 201115:26Bobcats trade Mohammed for White, Peterson
The Charlotte Bobcats have traded big man Nazr Mohammed to Oklahoma City for D.J. White and Mo Peterson.
Mohammed will step immediately into a reserve role behind newly acquired Kendrick Perkins and holds no value. White and Peterson should also be reserve figures and should struggle to find their place in the rotation.

Tue Feb 22 201123:50Mohammed steps up in the blowout
Nazr Mohammed scored eight points on 4-of-9 shooting with 14 rebounds and no other statistics in 24 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.
It was a blowout win for the Cats, so we're not reading into this too much. With Kwame Brown somewhat locked into the starting job, the best Mohammed can do is earn himself a timeshare at this point.
Mon Feb 14 201121:34Mohammed scores 16 points in blowout win
Nazr Mohammed scored 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting with three rebounds, two assists, and a block in 24 minutes off the bench in the Bobcats' blowout win on Monday.
He got the extra minutes due to the lopside score, so owners of Kwame Brown (eight points, eight rebounds, 24 minutes) shouldn't be too worried. Mohammed belongs on the waiver wire until further notice.
Wed Feb 9 201123:14Nazr Mohammed plays well in spot start
Nazr Mohammed started and had nine points, eight rebounds, two steals and a block in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.
He started for Kwame Brown, who was out for personal reasons, but for now, should be ignored as Kwame is still the starting center for the Bobcats.
Sat Jan 15 201100:16Mohammed back in action for Bobcats
Nazr Mohammed returned from a knee injury and had six points, three rebounds and a block in Friday's loss.
Kwame Brown (8 & 7) started again and could hold the job over Mohammed going forward. And the only way Nazr will be worth owning is if he retakes the job, and even then he's very hit and miss.
Thu Jan 13 201113:01Mohammed could play Friday
Nazr Mohammed (knee) went through practice Thursday and barring swelling, will play against the Celtics Friday.
As suspected, coach Paul Silas confirmed Mohammed will come off the bench behind Kwame Brown upon his return. The Bobcats have won four straight games with Brown drawing rave reviews for his post defense. Mohammed is looking at a bit role.

Mon Jan 10 201110:02Mohammed targeting a Friday return
Nazr Mohammed missed Sunday's practice and is targeting a return date of Friday from a knee injury.
That means Kwame Brown should start on Monday and Wednesday, making him a low-end fantasy option at center. Gerald Wallce will miss Monday's game, but is hoping to return to action on Wednesday.

Wed Jan 5 201105:18Mohammed (knee) out for Wednesday
Nazr Mohammed (knee) will not play on Wednesday against the Wolves, and there is still no timetable for his return.
Kwame Brown will continue to start and get as much run as the Bobcats can afford to give him. Mohammed's absence also points the team in a more mobile direction, but the so far that hasn't helped Tyrus Thomas' owners, who stand to gain the most.

Mon Jan 3 201118:20Nazr Mohammed out with knee injury
Nazr Mohammed will miss Monday's game with a knee injury.
With the news that DeSagana Diop will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured achilles, the Bobcats are now thin at center. This should mean Kwame Brown gets plenty of run, while Tyrus Thomas almost has to log heavy minutes for the suddenly thin Bobcats. With Gerald Wallace also hurt, if Thomas doesn't break out this week it may never happen.

Mon Dec 27 201022:43Mohammed starts, scores 10 points
Nazr Mohammed (hamstring) returned to action on Monday, scoring 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting with five rebounds, one assist, and one block in 19 minutes.
He is a borderline option in the deep leagues he is owned in anyway, but there is some talk of DeSagana Diop (four points, four rebounds, three blocks, 23 minutes) getting more run over Nazr and Kwame Brown (DNP) as the Bobcats want to run more. That's like replacing a school bus with a dumptruck, but in those deep leagues where it matters those are the rumors.
Tue Dec 21 201020:59Mohammed leaves game with hammy injury
Nazr Mohammed left Tuesday's game with a hamstring injury and will not return.
He was replaced in the starting lineup by Kwame Brown and maybe this is why. He leaves the game with three points, four rebounds, and four blocks in 12 minutes. We'll update you as soon as we learn more.

Tue Dec 21 201003:14Nazr ejected after nine minutes of action
Nazr Mohammed was ejected from Monday's game after playing just nine minutes, and finished with four points on 2-of-4 shooting with no other statistics.
He got ejected for getting two quick techs after arguing a pushing foul, and it's safe to assume many in the Bobcats organization would have liked to have left this game early, too. Regardless of the early exit, he is much too inconsistent for use in most fantasy leagues.
Wed Dec 15 201001:16Nazr scores 18 points with eight boards
Nazr Mohammed scored 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting with eight rebounds, one assist, and one block in the Bobcats' 97-91 win over the Raptors on Tuesday.
He had a 13-point, five-block night on Friday, but doesn't produce enough to be valuable in most leagues. That said, if you're desperate for blocks or a big-man, you may give him a look and hope he stays hot.
Fri Dec 10 201021:34Mohammed scores 13, blocks five
Nazr Mohammed scored 13 points and had five blocks on Friday, hitting 5-of-6 shots from the field while adding a steal and an assist.
He does this every once in a while, but is a pretty mediocre option when you consider he averages just eight points, five rebounds, and a block per game.
Sat Dec 4 201000:13Nazr Mohammed double-doubles in win
Nazr Mohammed had 14 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in Friday's overtime win over Brook Lopez and the Nets.
Mohammed dominated and embarrassed Lopez tonight and came in averaging eight points, five boards and a block. If you're desperate for a center, Mohammed is probably available in your league.
Fri Nov 26 201022:11Mohammed plays well in start at center
Nazr Mohammed had 15 points, seven rebounds and a block as he returned to the starting lineup on Friday.
Tyrus Thomas started in the last one for matchup reasons, but Mohammed was back at center tonight and played well against the undersized Rockets.
Fri Nov 26 201019:00Mohammed starts over Ty Thomas
Nazr Mohammed is back in the starting lineup for the Bobcats, pushing Tyrus Thomas back to the bench.
This is not at all surprising, but is frustrating for owners of Thomas, who was a surprise starter in the last one, but can't seem to get consistent minutes regardless of what team he plays for.
Mon Nov 15 201023:16Mohammed comes back to Earth on Monday
Nazr Mohammed followed up his 22-point, 20-rebound, four-block outing on Saturday with a much more realistic outing, scoring 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting to go with four rebounds, two blocks, and one assist in 15 minutes.
As expected, the production from Saturday was a mirage, and owners who picked him up on a flier should not hesitate to pick up a hot free agent.
Sat Nov 13 201021:58Mohammed goes for 22 points, 22 boards
Nazr Mohammed scored 22 points on 10-of-16 shooting with 20 rebounds, two assists, and four blocks in 36 minutes of action on Saturday against the Jazz.
Wow. The fact he did it against the Jazz frontcourt that isn't exactly chopped liver makes the achievement that much better. Unfortunately, the fact is that at his advanced age we're not expecting him to improve too much over his 17-minute, seven-point, four-rebound, and one-block average.
Sat Nov 13 201021:20Mohammed goes for 20-20 so far on Saturday
Nazr Mohammed has secured 20 points and 20 rebounds so far with three minutes to go left in Saturday's game against the Jazz.
This comes pretty much out of nowhere and usually we wait until games are complete before we post player blurbs, but since he's unowned in most leagues we thought we'd jump the gun. He'll be picked up in many leagues based on this performance, but came in averaging just seven points, four boards, and a block in 17 minutes per game. In other words, he's not must-own.
