Fri Dec 17 2010 | 11:46 | Moon active, Williams to play more on Thurs. |
Jamario Moon will be activated for Thursday's game due to Joey Graham being sidelined by a strained quad. |
Jawad Williams will assume Graham's role in the rotation, as Moon has gone from early-season starter to a non-entity in the rotation. |
Mon Nov 22 2010 | 15:02 | Cavs could have new lineup on Tuesday |
Byron Scott is reportedly thinking about changing the starting lineup for the Cavaliers, but gave no hints as to what he might do. |
Anderson Varejao should be safe at center and Mo Williams will probably keep his starting point guard job. It's been said that J.J. Hickson will continue to start at PF, leaving SF Jamario Moon and SG Anthony Parker as the possible odd men out. Our money is on Moon being pulled with either Joey Graham or Antawn Jamison possibly replacing him. It's also possible that Scott could be considering Ramon Sessions at SG in place of Parker, but getting Moon out of the starting five seems like a bigger priority for Scott. If Graham wins a starting job he'll be worth a close look in fantasy. |

Mon Nov 8 2010 | 19:26 | Moon not playing in the fourth quarter |
Jamario Moon is starting at SF for the Cavs, but he isn't playing much during the fourth quarters of games. |
Simply put, he's just not giving enough offensively at 6.5 points per game while shooting 41 percent (down from 46 percent last year). Anthony Parker is sliding over the SF while Boobie Gibson and Mo Williams run the backcourt, and when Antawn Jamison (knee) returns, he'll probably take Parker's spot in crunch time. |

Fri Oct 29 2010 | 21:56 | Moon invisible in Cavs loss |
Jamario Moon hit just 1-of-5 shots for two points and six rebounds, but did nothing else in Friday's blowout loss. |
It's going to be hit or miss with Moon, as he's going to be inconsistent. But he should play well enough to be owned in many leagues, as long as he's starting. If you want to cut him for a hot free agent, it makes sense. |
Wed Oct 27 2010 | 23:29 | Moon fills stat sheet in start for Cavs |
Jamario Moon hit 4-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for 10 points, five rebounds, an assist, a steal and block in Wednesday's win. |
He's worth a look in all leagues as long as he's starting, as he could produce in all these categories on a nightly basis. |
Tue Oct 19 2010 | 21:51 | Moon quiet in 26 minutes Tuesday |
Jamario Moon had eight points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a 3-pointer in Tuesday's win over the Sixers. |
He's going to start at small forward and can produce in every category, although he's not likely to score a ton. Give him a quick look at the end of your draft, but don't expect much scoring from him. |
Tue Oct 19 2010 | 06:42 | Moon to start unless something crazy happens |
Coach Byron Scott said Monday that Jamario Moon will be his starting small forward "unless something crazy happens." |
His preseason has produced a box score devoid of statistics, but his athleticism gives him upside as a flier pick at the end of drafts. |

Sun Oct 17 2010 | 01:32 | Scott all but confirms that Moon will start |
Jamario Moon did not score against CSKA Moscow on Saturday, but after the game coach Byron Scott all but gave him the starting job. |
"I don't want to tell him he's the starter yet," Scott said. "But he's probably the leading candidate." The fact that he didn't score isn't a surprise -- he hasn't done much of anything this preseason. But as the starter he has the type of athletic upside that flier picks are made of. |

Fri Oct 15 2010 | 00:17 | Moon starts again at small forward |
Jamario Moon started for the second straight game on Thursday night, but was quiet once again with nine points on 4-of-7 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes. |
Most of his lines have looked like this (or worse), but it is beginning to look like the starting job is his. At best, he will be a versatile talent that takes advantage of the lack of options in Cleveland. More than likely though, he will look a lot like this. |
Tue Oct 12 2010 | 00:33 | Moon draws the start at SF against Mavs |
Jamario Moon got the start at small forward for the Cavs on Monday, scoring seven points on 3-of-6 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 27 minutes. |
Moon, Jawad Williams, and Joey Graham have all started at small forward in the preseason, and while nobody has distinguished themselves with their play, Moon has logged the most minutes. The winner of this position battle deserves consideration at the end of drafts. |
Thu Oct 7 2010 | 22:11 | Moon struggles in Wednesday's start |
Jamario Moon started and hit just 1-of-4 shots for three points, six rebounds, an assist and a block in 21 minutes on Wednesday. |
His only make was a 3-pointer and he didn't do nearly as much as he did on Tuesday, when he had four steals, three blocks and a three. If he ends up in the starting lineup, he should be targeted late in fantasy drafts as a value pick. |
Wed Oct 6 2010 | 00:52 | Moon, Hickson shine of Cavs bench |
Jamario Moon had seven points, 10 rebounds, four steals, three blocks and a 3-pointer off the bench in 31 minutes for the Cavaliers in Tuesday's exhibition game. |
Joey Graham was ineffective in a start at SF with six points in 17 minutes, while J.J. Hickson added 17 points, nine boards, a steal and a block off the bench. Daniel Gibson, who also came off the pine, added 18 points on 10-of-10 free throw shooting. Antawn Jamison started at PF and hit just 1-of-9 shots, but that is not a concern. Moon certainly qualifies as a super sleeper with LeBron James gone, while Hickson should already be on everyone's radar. |
Sun Sep 26 2010 | 09:57 | Cavaliers may have SF by committee |
Beat writer Brian Windhorst notes that the Cavaliers' starting small forward "probably will come from a collection that includes Jamario Moon, Jawad Williams and Joey Graham." |
This platoon of athletic SFs isn't going to make anyone forget about LeBron James, but fantasy owners should pay close attention to position battles in Cleveland. |

Mon Apr 19 2010 | 23:02 | Moon's big night helps Cavs beat Bulls |
Jamario Moon came out of no where for 12 points, four 3-pointers and two blocks in less than 20 minutes of action in Monday's Game 2 win. |
Moon may have been ignored in playoff fantasy leagues, but with the Cavs a favorite to go deep into the playoffs, he is probably worth a shot in most of them. |
Wed Apr 14 2010 | 23:14 | Moon leads Cavs in another loss |
Jamario Moon led the Cavaliers with 15 points, seven rebounds, one assist, two steals, a block and a 3-pointer in Wednesday's loss to the Hawks. |
The Cavs sat their starters, which allowed Moon to have a nice line. He used to put up lines like this consistently in Toronto, but doesn't get enough minutes in Cleveland. |
Sun Apr 11 2010 | 16:25 | Moon starts again with LBJ out to rest |
Jamario Moon drew another start on Sunday with LeBron James resting, and scored 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting (with two threes) to go with three rebounds, no assists, and two steals in 39 minutes. |
The minutes look great, but the production just isn't there and probably won't be unless all of the Cavs' big guns are sitting on the bench. If that turns out to be the case, one could take a risk on Moon but the expectations should be kept in check. |
Fri Apr 9 2010 | 22:16 | Moon gets start, has nice game |
Jamario Moon started in place of LeBron James on Friday and had 15 points, six rebounds, four assists, two treys and two steals in Friday's loss to the Pacers. |
Jawad Williams had been starting in place of LeBron, but for some reason Moon got the nod tonight and he produced. We'd expect coach Mike Brown to stick with Moon over Williams. And with whispers that The King might shut it down for the season, Moon is someone to watch because his versatility lends itself well to fantasy. |
