Fri May 17 201322:37Dickerson smashes three-run homer in loss
Chris Dickerson smashed a three-run homer in a losing effort against the Rays on Friday.
After falling behind 12-4 early in the game, Dickerson's bomb off Kyle Farnsworth capped off a six-run eighth inning that pulled the O's to within 12-10. Unfortunately for them, that's as close as they'd come. The veteran outfielder has done a nice job in limited time, hitting .320/.346/.520 with a homer and six RBI in his first 25 at-bats.

Wed May 1 201302:06Chris Dickerson collects three hits in win
Making his third start in his three weeks with the team, Chris Dickerson went 3-for-5 with two RBI to help the Orioles best the Mariners 7-2 on Tuesday.
It was surprising Dickerson wasn't taken more seriously after the Yankees let him go in January. He was terrific in Triple-A last year, and he's been a perfectly useful part-time outfielder in the majors when healthy. In 525 career at-bats, he's hit .267/.364/.405 with 11 homers and 28 steals. The Orioles don't have much of a role for him with everyone else healthy, but if another outfielder goes down, he'd probably have some value in AL-only leagues.

Fri Mar 29 201319:09Orioles re-assign Chris Dickerson to minors
Orioles re-assigned OF Chris Dickerson to minor league camp.
The 30-year-old outfielder actually had a very nice spring showing, hitting .297/.409/.514 with a pair of homers, six RBI and two steals in his 24 games. He'll likely serve as organizational depth at the minor league level, and should see time with the O's in 2013.

Wed Mar 27 201323:02Dickerson day-to-day with Achilles strain
Chris Dickerson is day-to-day after leaving Wednesday night's game with a slight right Achilles strain.
Dickerson was attempting to chase down a fly ball when the strain happened. The 30-year-old outfielder is attempting to make the Orioles as a bench player, and this could obviously hurt his chances.

Sun Mar 24 201317:52Chris Dickerson hits grand slam for Orioles
Chris Dickerson hit a grand slam as part of an eight-run first Sunday in the Orioles' 12-10 defeat of the Pirates.
It came off Chris Leroux. We like Dickerson as a fourth outfielder, but it's hard to see how he fits on the Orioles with Nick Markakis, Adam Jones, Nate McLouth and Nolan Reimold around. He's hitting .303/.410/.455 in 33 at-bats this spring.

Wed Sep 26 201216:16Chris Dickerson homers in rare start
Despite not having had an at-bat in 17 days, Chris Dickerson went 2-for-4 and hit a two-run homer versus the Twins on Wednesday.
Dickerson is 4-for-12 with two homers and three steals in his very limited action for the Yankees this month. He deserves another crack at a fourth-outfielder role, and he may get it next season based on his play in Triple-A this year.

Chris Dickerson blasted a two-run homer off Chris Tillman in Sunday's loss to the Orioles.
He finished the afternoon 1-for-2 plus a walk, and also scored two runs. It was his first action of the season with the Yankees, after hitting .316/.417/.515 with seven homers and 25 RBI in 69 games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He can be ignored down the stretch for fantasy purposes.

Sun Feb 26 201214:52Chris Dickerson outrighted
Yankees sent OF Chris Dickerson outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Sat Oct 29 201110:21Dickerson will not qualify as a Super Two
Chris Dickerson will not qualify for Super Two status despite being on the active roster for 91 games in 2011.
It's a veiled blessing for Dickerson who will earn close to the league minimum in 2012 before three years of arbitration. Had he qualified as a Super Two the Yankees would have non-tendered him rather than pay him a low-seven figures salary. The 29-year-old journeyman batted .321/.367/.393 in 41 games this season.

Tue Sep 13 201106:23Dickerson connects on first homer since '09
Recent call-up Chris Dickerson smacked his first home run of the season on Monday.
The 29-year-old journeyman finished 2-for-4. Dickerson has shown a little power and a little speed in the past, but is little more than a role player in the Yankees' talent-laden lineup.
