Fri Apr 13 201218:34Satin to get call up if Wright goes on DL
Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports that Josh Satin will be called up from Triple-A Buffalo if David Wright (finger) is placed on the disabled list.
We won't know for sure if he'll join the team until Wright attempts to test his right pinkie finger by swinging a bat Saturday. Satin, 27, went 5-for-25 (.200) in 15 games with the Mets last season and carries no fantasy value.

Fri Mar 23 201208:25Josh Satin optioned
Mets optioned INF Josh Satin to Triple-A Buffalo.
A .259/.323/.296 batting line this spring was unable to convince manager Terry Collins that Satin deserved a spot on the bench. He should be up with the big club at some point during the year.

Josh Satin is learning to play the outfield in winter ball in Venezuela.
Satin has never played the outfield as a pro, but he's made three straight starts in left field for Caracas. The 26-year-old has played first, second and third base in the minor leagues and will hope to earn a bench job next season as a utility player.

Josh Satin went 1-for-2 with a two-run double in New York's loss to the Cardinals on Wednesday.
Both the hit and the RBI were the first of Satin's major-league career. The 26-year-old offensive specialist should compete for a bench spot in spring training.

Thu Sep 1 201109:40Mets call up INF Josh Satin from Triple-A
Mets purchased the contract of INF Josh Satin from Triple-A Buffalo.
Satin, 26, batted .323/.411/.495 with 12 homers, 76 RBI and a .906 OPS over 564 plate appearances between Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Buffalo this season. Better known for his bat than his glove, Satin is capable of playing first base, second and third. He is past the point of being called a prospect, but could still find his niche as a utility man.

Wed Aug 31 201123:20Josh Satin will be recalled
The Mets will recall infield prospect Josh Satin from Triple-A Buffalo Thursday.
Satin was absent from Baseball America's top 30 Mets' prospects prior to the season, but he's had a nice year at the dish, batting .322/.411/.493 with 12 homers and 76 RBI over 479 at-bats between Double- and Triple-A. He profiles as a utility infielder over the long haul, but with the revolving door the Mets have had at second this season, he could get a look in September to find out if he might be a legitimate option there for next season.
