Thu Sep 8 201112:53Brewers plan to handle Morgan internally
The Brewers plan to handle Wednesday's incident with Nyjer Morgan internally.
Morgan incited a benches-clearing incident Wednesday after jawing with Cardinals' right-hander Chris Carpenter following a swinging strikeout. No punches were thrown, but the eccentric outfielder later directed some tweets at Albert Pujols by addressing him as "Alberta." The Brewers likely aren't pleased and Morgan has worn out his welcome in the past, but it's not known whether he'll sit out a game as a form of punishment.

Wed Sep 7 201122:24Nyjer Morgan ejected
Nyjer Morgan was ejected from Wednesday's game in the ninth inning after shouting at Cardinals' pitcher Chris Carpenter.
Carpenter struck out Morgan and immediately turned his back, but for some reason, Morgan started yelling in Carp's direction and even took the chewing tobacco out of his mouth and threw it at him. Benches emptied, but order was quickly restored. Tony Plush has endeared himself to the Brewers fan base this season with his antics, but his act is going to wear thin once he inevitably starts to struggle.

Fri May 20 201111:44Nyjer Morgan won't be activated on Saturday
Nyjer Morgan (broken finger) will not come off the disabled list when first eligible to on Saturday.
Morgan is making progress, as he participated in Milwaukee's session of early batting practice on Thursday, but sounds likely to miss at least another 7-to-10, as the Brewers want him to go out on a minor-league rehab assignment. Seeing as he's played in just two games in the past month thanks to his finger and earlier hamstring injury, that's obviously the most prudent course of action.
