Wed Nov 27 201322:17Jordan Crawford plays 36 minutes vs. Memphis
Jordan Crawford logged 36 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the visiting Grizzlies, but he scored only five points on 2-of-7 shooting.
One of Crawford's makes came from beyond the arc and he dished out six assists, so it wasn't a total loss. His low FG total is reflective of an encouraging trend, as he's a career-low shots per 36 minutes (12.8) while easily setting a new career-high in FG percentage (45.9 percent). His assists will go down when Rajon Rondo returns, likely in December, but he should maintain a solid chunk of playing time off the bench.

Mon Nov 25 201322:34Jordan Crawford scores 21 points in big line
Jordan Crawford scored a team-high 21 points against the Bobcats on Monday, adding four boards, five assists and four 3-pointers in 28 minutes.
It was one of his better lines of the season and he's played particularly well in the starting role for Boston. In his previous 11 starts, Crawford averaged 12.9 points, 5.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.9 triples, which makes him a very strong start in standard leagues. Although, Rajon Rondo is on the comeback trail.

Sat Nov 23 201322:41Jordan Crawford ties season-high w/ 10 dimes
Jordan Crawford tied his season-high with 10 assists in Boston's win vs. the Hawks, and he grabbed three rebounds while turning the ball over four times in 35 minutes.
Crawford made only 3-of-9 shots tonight, but it's worth noting that he's hitting a career-high 46.7 percent of his field goals this year, and 93.1 percent of his free throws. He's also making one 3-pointer per game at a 41.2 percent clip, to go along with 2.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.4 steals in under 27 minutes per game. Those impressive numbers should earn him a healthy spot in the rotation even when Rajon Rondo returns, though his assist totals will inevitably tail off.

Fri Nov 22 201321:49Jordan Crawford scores 24 points in loss
Jordan Crawford made all eight of his shots in the first half on Friday's loss to the Pacers, finishing with 24 points, three rebounds, four assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
The Celtics weren't really passing at all and had just 11 assists on 35 field goals tonight. Crawford came into tonight with a scoring slump, failing to top 12 points in any of his previous four games while not adding more than five assists. He is renowned for being streaky, so the occasional big line is nothing new. The former Wizard should be owned in standard leagues.

Tue Nov 19 201323:17Jordan Crawford struggles against Rockets
Jordan Crawford hit just 1-of-8 shots for six points, four assists, two steals and a 3-pointer in 23 minutes.
This game was over in the first quarter and Crawford never got it going. This was just an off night for Crawford, who had scored in double figures in six straight games coming in, but he's also hit just 15-of-49 shots over his last four. He should bounce back soon, as long as Brad Stevens doesn't lose patience with him and put Crawford on the bench.

Sat Nov 9 201322:55Jordan Crawford playing well for Celtics
Jordan Crawford made another start on Saturday and hit 6-of-10 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, two rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Crawford has quietly scored 12 or more points in four of his last five games and has recorded seven steals and seven 3-pointers over that stretch. Until Rajon Rondo is back, and as long as he's starting and playing this well, Crawford has played well enough over a five-game stretch to be picked up in most leagues. Just know that his shot can disappear at any time.

Thu Nov 7 201300:04Jordan Crawford is quiet in start at PG
Jordan Crawford started at point guard on Wednesday for the first time this season, scoring seven points with two boards, four assists, one block and one 3-pointer on 3-of-9 shooting.
He didn't turn the ball over and things could have been worse for Crawford. The Celtics don't really have much of a choice at point guard and moving Avery Bradley to shooting guard is probably something coach Brad Stevens won't be going back to. Crawford should have better nights than this one, but he's more of a pickup in 14- and 16-team leagues for now.

Wed Nov 6 201317:55Jordan Crawford starts in place of Wallace
Jordan Crawford will start at point guard for the Celtics on Wednesday, Gerald Wallace will move to the bench and Avery Bradley will start at shooting guard.
Their offense has been a mess, ranking just 29th in points per game despite not exactly going up against formidable defenses. The team doesn't have really anything figured out as far as scheme goes, but it looks like coach Brad Stevens has realized that Jeff Green can't play shooting guard. Crawford is worth a look in standard leagues, but he doesn't have much upside for spotty shooting percentages, high turnovers, a lack of assists, and low defensive contributions.

Tue Nov 5 201300:18Crawford posts deep league line against MEM
Jordan Crawford scored 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block in 25 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Crawford is slowly getting things going but he's still just a deep league asset until he gets some injury assistance or Brad Stevens decides he can live with his unique blend of offensive playmaking and head-scratching moments.

Tue Oct 15 201322:22Jordan Crawford mixed bag in start
Jordan Crawford started on Tuesday and got mixed reviews, finishing with 10 points, five rebounds and six assists on 5-of-12 shooting.
He also went 0-for-3 from downtown and committed five turnovers in 31 minutes. The good news is that he looked a bit like a team-first player tonight, distributing the rock and not taking a bunch of crazy shots. But the turnovers and lack of threes are a concern. He still looks like a decent way to burn a last-round pick in fantasy leagues, as long as Brad Stevens gives him 20 minutes a game when they count. Avery Bradley started at point guard and hit 2-of-13 shots for seven points, nine rebounds and three dimes.

Fri Oct 11 201323:37Jordan Crawford gaining momentum in Boston
Jordan Crawford started at shooting guard in the Celtics' 97-85 preseason loss to the Sixers, scoring 12 points on 3-of-6 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 23 minutes.
The offensively challenged Celtics will live with Crawford's poor defense and decision-making if Avery Bradley and Phil Pressey fail to be playmaking threats at the PG position, and other contributors like Gerald Wallace, Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger cannot bend the defense. Unfortunately for fantasy owners the high-volume, low-percentage FG shooting and lack of peripherals are downright detrimental to Crawford's value, and he needs to be in a featured role before owners should target him in a standard draft.

Fri Oct 11 201317:57Jordan Crawford in the starting lineup Friday
Jordan Crawford will start next to Avery Bradley at the guard spots on Friday night.
Coach Brad Stevens wouldn't declare which player will be his point guard, saying "whoever has it brings it." The Celtics still have a lot of work to do in figuring out their rotation, so they're one of the more interesting teams to monitor.

Thu Oct 10 201316:53Jordan Crawford back at practice Thursday
Jordan Crawford was back with the team for Thursday's practice.
He had a death in the family and missed Wednesday's preseason game. Crawford is expected to be more of a passer than his usual shoot-first style, and with the lack of depth on the Celtics, he'll be worth monitoring in most formats.

Wed Oct 9 201316:24Jordan Crawford out on Wednesday
Jordan Crawford is not with the Celtics for Wednesday's preseason game against the Knicks due to a death in the family.
Our condolences go out to Crawford and his family. He's going to get a lot of minutes at shooting guard and could be worth a late-round flier in fantasy this season. But if you are thinking about going there, just make sure your team's field goal percentage can handle it. He shot 41.5 percent from the floor in 27 games for the Celtics last season.

Fri Oct 4 201311:21Jordan Crawford isn't going to just score
Jordan Crawford said that he's not looking to just score this season.
"When I go out on the court, I'm not just looking to score," Crawford said. "I want to win the game, so I'm going to do everything." This is news to us since Crawford hasn't really been bashful when it comes to shooting the ball. He had just 2.5 assists per game with the Celtics last year, down from the 3.7 he posted in Washington prior to the trade.

Fri Sep 13 201314:28Jordan Crawford sees himself as a "leader"
Jordan Crawford told reporters that in his 4th year in the NBA he feels teammates are starting to look to him as a "leader" on the team.
Crawford is probably not who you want as a leader on your team, but on the rebuilding Celtics he may have to take on that role. Although he will be competing with Courtney Lee for minutes, on a team that needs scoring Crawford may be a nice source of cheap points and 3. Keep in mind that his low field goal percentage, inconsistency and high turnovers will probably always haunt his fantasy value.

Fri Jun 7 201310:13Jordan Crawford not locked into C's rotation
Jordan Crawford's place in the Celtics rotation is "certainly no certainty," according to the Boston Herald.
Crawford saw minutes for the Celtics and was even ahead of Courtney Lee on the team's depth chart, but his inability to understand shot selection as well as his defensive lapses make him a nightmare to rely on as a contributor. He could easily wind up warming the end of Boston's bench next season, but he could be a member of the rotation as well. It's too early to tell at this point given the uncertainty of what the team will look like in 2013/14.

Thu May 2 201317:33Jordan Crawford denies trashing Melo's wife
Jordan Crawford denied on Twitter on Thursday that he trash talked Carmelo Anthony's wife after Wednesday's Game 5 win by Boston.
What Crawford did or didn't say about Anthony's wife has taken on a life of its own in the wake of Game 5 and actually dates back to Melo's brief feud with Kevin Garnett earlier this season. We sincerely doubt that Anthony needs motivation to beat the Celtics, but just in case he did, whatever Crawford said Wednesday night certainly can't hurt.

Thu Apr 25 201311:54Jordan Crawford in, Courtney Lee out for C's
Doc Rivers confirmed Jordan Crawford has moved ahead of Courtney Lee in the Celtics rotation.
"I'm not playing him right now," Rivers said of Lee. "Jordan has moved ahead of him on the depth chart." It's another reminder that Lee's first season in Boston has been nothing short of disappointment.

Wed Apr 17 201323:21Jordan Crawford leads Celtics with 16 points
Jordan Crawford led the Celtics with 16 points, six rebounds, five assists, a steal and two 3-pointers on 6-of-14 shooting in 36 minutes on Wednesday.
The Celtics will face the Knicks in New York in Game 1 of the playoffs on Saturday and the Knicks are really banged up. The Celtics rested most of their guys tonight, but most of them will be ready for the playoffs, so don't expect too many games like this out of Crawford in the postseason.
