Wed Jun 27 201208:19Bobcats shopping Tyrus Thomas with No. 2 pick
The Bobcats are "trying to convince interested teams" to trade for Tyrus Thomas in any deal for the No. 2 pick, multiple sources tell the Washington Post.
We've seen some scuttlebutt like this previously, and if the Bobcats are trying to package Thomas' disgusting contract in any deal to move back from the No. 2 slot, we just can't see that happening. A prime amnesty clause candidate, Thomas' deal calls him to be paid approximately $26 million over the next three years. It's pretty clear the Bobcats won't move out of the No. 2 slot unless they get a deal that's precisely to their liking.

Wed Apr 25 201222:21Tyrus Thomas scores 13 in another loss
Tyrus Thomas had 13 points, five rebounds, a steal and a block in Wednesday's loss.
He suffered a hip injury after falling on a chair in the front row, but stayed in the game. If Derrick Brown's ankle injury keeps him out of Thursday's finale, it's conceivable that Thomas could start in that one.

Mon Apr 23 201220:16Tyrus Thomas ejected for Flagrant-2
Tyrus Thomas was ejected for throwing elbows in Monday's game against the Wizards.
Thomas was given a Flagrant-2 foul, but it was nowhere near as serious as the bows that Metta World Artest threw on Sunday. Thomas played three minutes with three turnovers, in a metaphoric stretch run if we've ever seen one. We'll let you know if a suspension is forthcoming.

Fri Apr 20 201211:01Tyrus Thomas won't play on Friday
Tyrus Thomas (knee) has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Grizzlies.
Thomas and Paul Silas clearly don't see eye-to-eye, and the highly-athletic forward has been a lost cause for fantasy owners this year. He's a candidate for the amnesty clause in the offseason.

Wed Apr 18 201215:48Paul Silas, Tyrus Thomas separated after loss
Bobcats coach Paul Silas and Tyrus Thomas had an altercation in the locker room after Sunday's loss, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
Details should be forthcoming, but between a mercurial PF known for attitude problems and a 68-year-old veteran coach, it's no mystery who was the instigator. Tyrus played in Monday's game despite being iffy with a knee injury, so it doesn't seem there will be any team-sanctioned punishment.

Tue Apr 17 201201:40Thomas (knee) scores seven points
Tyrus Thomas (knee) was a game-time decision on Monday, but played and scored seven points on 3-of-10 shooting with six rebounds, one assist, and no steals or blocks in 21 minutes.
Thomas might be a game-time decision for the rest of the year, and either way he hasn't been productive this season. Continue to ignore him.

Sun Apr 15 201211:45Tyrus Thomas expected to play on Sunday
Tyrus Thomas (knee) participated in shootaround on Sunday and is expected to play on Sunday.
Thomas has dropped so far off of the fantasy radar that most owners probably haven't even noticed he's been out. Charlotte owes Thomas more than $25 million over the next three seasons, making him a prime candidate for the amnesty clause.

Sat Apr 14 201200:39Thomas (knee) does not play on Friday
Tyrus Thomas (knee) did not play on Friday against the Heat.
Thomas' absence is freeing up an extra 15-20 minutes to the rotation, and he will need to take major strides this offseason if he doesn't want to end up on the side of an NBA milk carton.

Thu Apr 12 201211:16Tyrus Thomas out on Thursday with bad knee
Tyrus Thomas (knee) won't play on Thursday against the Pistons.
Thomas is dealing with a knee contusion, a new injury for the underwhelming athletic forward. He hasn't cracked 20 minutes of playing time in a game since March 26, so this news shouldn't really impact your fantasy team. Byron Mullens and D.J. White should both see a slight increase in minutes with Thomas out.

Thu Apr 5 201209:39Tyrus Thomas plays six minutes in return
Tyrus Thomas returned to action on Wednesday with one block in six minutes of action.
With Thomas losing playing time to the younger guys on the roster, there is no reason to consider him for fantasy purposes right now.

Sat Mar 31 201223:31Tyrus Thomas benched, Bryon Mullens starts
Tyrus Thomas was moved to the bench on Saturday, responding with 10 points, four rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes.
Thomas' demotion to the second unit is not surprising, as he was averaging all of 2.7 points in the past three games, and he's unlikely to retake the job from Byron Mullens (who scored 20 points on Saturday). This is Thomas' sixth season in the NBA yet he has failed to earn a solid role for the moribund Bobcats, so do yourself and avoid him in next year's fantasy drafts.

Tyrus Thomas (elbow) practiced on Friday and is expected to be in the starting lineup against the Nuggets.
Thomas missed last game with the ailment but is ready to get back into action. He's averaging just 18 minutes per game in March with unimpressive averages of 5.9 points and 3.7 rebounds on 37.4 percent shooting. Thomas' return will send D.J. White back to the bench.

Wed Mar 28 201218:43Tyrus Thomas still iffy w/ sore elbow
Tyrus Thomas (right elbow bursitis) remains questionable for Wednesday's game.
Even if Thomas suits up he may not get a full complement of minutes, which moves him from shaky to untenable in fantasy leagues. D.J. White figures to be the main beneficiary if Thomas is out or limited.

Wed Mar 28 201211:21Tyrus Thomas bothered by sore elbow
Tyrus Thomas has a sore elbow and the Bobcats are "hopeful" he'll play on Wednesday.
Thomas has managed eight points over his last two games and hasn't cracked 22 minutes in either one. He's averaging just 5.9 points in 18 minutes per game in March, and he's not going to come into consistent fantasy value while playing limited minutes.
