Mon Oct 21 201322:04Alonzo Gee hits four 3-pointers in start
Alonzo Gee made four 3-pointers in a start at small forward on Monday to go with 14 points, two boards, two assists, three steals and two blocks in 27 minutes.
It was his best game by far, but that's going to happen a lot against the Sixers. Gee regressed last season after he put himself on the map in 2011-12. He still has some work to do to get into the standard-league conversation while Mike Brown hasn't decided on his starting small forward yet.

Mon Oct 14 201314:49Alonzo Gee starting on Tuesday night
Alonzo Gee (hamstring) will get the start at small forward on Tuesday.
He's been bothered by a hamstring injury and Mike Brown wants to get a good look at him. Brown said nobody has run with the job at small forward and will give others a chance, but Gee's up Tuesday. He had a rough season last year and won't be worth drafting in standard leagues.

Mon Oct 14 201310:09Alonzo Gee (hamstring) probable for Tuesday
Alonzo Gee (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Bobcats on Tuesday.
"I think he'll be ready," said Mike Brown. Gee said this weekend that he feels fine, which is good news since he's fighting both C.J. Miles and Earl Clark for playing time at small forward.

Thu Oct 10 201314:47Alonzo Gee resting for Friday's game
Alonzo Gee (hamstring) will not play in Friday's preseason game against the Magic.
His hamstring issue popped up on Tuesday's injury report and the Cavs are going to let him heal a bit. Gee had a big opportunity last season and played 34.3 minutes per game in December, but it dropped to 29.7 after the break. He's not worth targeting in almost any league.

Tue Oct 8 201313:49Alonzo Gee (hamstring) doubtful for Tuesday
Alonzo Gee (hamstring) is doubtful to play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Bucks.
He has a sore right hamstring and hasn't been on any injury reports prior to this news, so it's likely just a minor problem. Gee is going to come off the bench for the Cavs and he's lost a lot of his luster as rotational player after making just 40.8 percent of his shots after the break. He's not worth drafting in standard leagues.

Mon Jun 24 201315:09Alonzo Gee likely to shift to Cavaliers bench
Alonzo Gee is likely to play a reserve role with the Cavaliers next season.
The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reported in May that the Cavs view Gee "as a backup," and trade rumors have since linked them to Shawn Marion, Paul Pierce and Luol Deng. Given the Cavs' salary cap space and obvious desire to upgrade at SF, it's a safe bet that Gee will find himself coming off the bench in a diminished role.

Sun May 12 201309:26Report: Cavaliers see Alonzo Gee as backup
The Cavaliers reportedly view small forward Alonzo Gee "as a backup," according to Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.
Gee signed a three-year contract last summer and he started all 82 games at SF, but he averaged just 10.3 points on 41 percent shooting (31.5 percent from downtown), with 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.4 blocks and 1.6 turnovers. His Player Effeciency Rating of 10.6 was 48th among qualifying small forwards, and the Cavs' view of him as a backup may shape their strategy on draft day.

Alonzo Gee hit just 1-of-4 shots for four points, six rebounds and two steals in 31 minutes on Tuesday.
He had 19 points and three treys on Sunday after going for 16 & 10 on Friday. The good news is that he got minutes, but just couldn't get it going against the tough Pacers' D tonight.

Sat Mar 16 201323:31Alonzo Gee picking up slack w/out Irving
Alonzo Gee finished Saturday's tough road loss with 15 points, two rebounds and three steals, making 4-of-7 FGs and 7-of-8 FTs.
Gee has been a mild disappointment this year, with his numbers plateauing or regressing in most categories, though in fairness he spends every game defending the opposition's best scorers. He's scored double-digit points in six of his past seven games, however, and seems to be picking up some slack with Kyrie Irving (shoulder) out of commission.

Tue Mar 12 201322:16Alonzo Gee scores 17 in win over Wizards
Alonzo Gee hit just 5-of-15 shots but finished with 17 points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal in 32 minutes on Tuesday.
Gee has hit double digits in scoring in four of his last five games and will be looked at to help carry the scoring load in Cleveland with Kyrie Irving's season likely over.

Sun Mar 10 201320:59Alonzo Gee very quiet in 28 minutes
Alonzo Gee played 28 low-impact minutes on Sunday, scoring four points on 1-of-6 shooting, with three rebounds and two steals.
Gee is now shooting 33.9 percent shooting in the past six games. His numbers have plateaued or regressed compared to last season, despite the fact that he's playing more minutes. In fairness, he always defends the opponent's toughest players (from PFs to PGs) and the Cavs don't run any plays for him.

Wed Mar 6 201323:28Alonzo Gee scores 15 in Cavs win
Alonzo Gee hit 6-of-16 shots and a 3-pointer for 15 points and five rebounds in 33 minutes.
Gee is far too inconsistent to be relied up by fantasy owners, but played very well tonight, scoring the most points he's had in a game since Feb. 23. Over his last nine games, he's scored 15, 10, 2, 6, 11, 9, 17, 10 and 7 points, which paints a pretty vivid picture as to why he's available in your league. He's been good for close to a steal per game over that stretch, and the occasional 3-ball, but a lack of rebounds, assists and blocks makes him a marginal fantasy player, at best.

Sat Feb 9 201322:31Alonzo Gee scores 20 pts on 8-of-8 shooting
Alonzo Gee shot 8-of-8 from the field on Saturday, including three 3-pointers, but his 20-point game wasn't enough to cool off the red-hot Nuggets.
Gee made six shots in the first quarter before inexplicably getting gunshy, and he went without any field goals in the second and fourth quarters. He's playing nearly 32 minutes per game this season but his numbers thus far have been disappointing -- 10.2 points, 0.8 threes, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals, giving him borderline value in 12-team leagues. This was his first game with double-digit points in the past three weeks.

Fri Jan 25 201322:55Gee struggles in Friday's win
Alonzo Gee scored two points on 1-of-5 shooting with eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 29 minutes on Friday.
Gee is a mixed bag on most nights and it's usually not all that great. If you're hurting and need a productive player in standard formats give him a look, but don't hang on at the expense of a hot free agent.

Sat Jan 12 201301:41Gee struggles with foul trouble vs. DEN
Alonzo Gee struggled with foul trouble on Friday, playing just 21 minutes on his way to two points on 1-of-7 shooting with two rebounds and two steals.
Gee is a borderline player in 12-team leagues but with a starting job in hand and some theoretic upside he's better than your run-of-the-mill low-end player. We wouldn't read too much into any one performance and he's coming off a nice night on Wednesday.

Alonzo Gee had 15 points, six rebounds, three assists, a steal, a block and a career-high five 3-pointers in Wednesday's easy win over the Hawks.
Gee has been putting up solid numbers all season, but may have been dropped in your league after scoring just eight points on Monday. If he was, he's always worth a close look in most leagues.

Tue Dec 18 201222:05Alonzo Gee scores 15 in loss to Raptors
Alonzo Gee had 15 points, four rebounds, two assists, three blocked shots and a 3-pointer on 6-of-8 shooting in Tuesday's loss.
Gee has been a bit inconsistent this season but is capable of lines like this every time out. He's offering 11th-round value in nine-category leagues, but is fun to own when on nights when he's blocking shots and draining 3-pointers.

Wed Dec 12 201222:34Alonzo Gee goes 0-for-7 for 1 point
Alonzo Gee cooled off on Wednesday, missing all seven of his shots to finish with one point, four rebounds and four assists in a loss to the Pacers.
He had been playing well and had 17 points and a full stat line on Tuesday night. Chalk this up to an off night, while teammate C.J. Miles stayed red hot, and look for him to bounce back in his next game.
