Alonzo Gee made four 3-pointers in a start at small forward on Monday to go with 14 points, two boards, two assists, three steals and two blocks in 27 minutes.

It was his best game by far, but that's going to happen a lot against the Sixers. Gee regressed last season after he put himself on the map in 2011-12. He still has some work to do to get into the standard-league conversation while Mike Brown hasn't decided on his starting small forward yet.

Gee is far too inconsistent to be relied up by fantasy owners, but played very well tonight, scoring the most points he's had in a game since Feb. 23. Over his last nine games, he's scored 15, 10, 2, 6, 11, 9, 17, 10 and 7 points, which paints a pretty vivid picture as to why he's available in your league. He's been good for close to a steal per game over that stretch, and the occasional 3-ball, but a lack of rebounds, assists and blocks makes him a marginal fantasy player, at best.

Gee is a mixed bag on most nights and it's usually not all that great. If you're hurting and need a productive player in standard formats give him a look, but don't hang on at the expense of a hot free agent.

Gee has been a bit inconsistent this season but is capable of lines like this every time out. He's offering 11th-round value in nine-category leagues, but is fun to own when on nights when he's blocking shots and draining 3-pointers.

Alonzo Gee cooled off on Wednesday, missing all seven of his shots to finish with one point, four rebounds and four assists in a loss to the Pacers.

He had been playing well and had 17 points and a full stat line on Tuesday night. Chalk this up to an off night, while teammate C.J. Miles stayed red hot, and look for him to bounce back in his next game.
