Wed Mar 30 201123:51Bibby plays more like Bibby vs. Wizards
Mike Bibby, coming off a night when he scored 23 points and hit seven 3-pointers, hit just two of them on Wednesday, for six points and one assist.
That's more like it. If you picked him up after last night's explosion, we're just hoping you didn't cut Jordan Crawford (career-high 39 points) to do so. We see no sense in holding Bibby, unless you're in a deep league and desperate for six 3-pointers per week.

Tue Mar 29 201123:51Bibby hits seven threes for 23 points
Mike Bibby hit 7-of-11 shots from the field on Tuesday (all threes), scoring 23 points to go with two rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 42 minutes.
This was easily his best game as a member of the Heat, and could be the game that establishes some momentum for him in fantasy leagues, as well. If you're looking for 3-point shooting, he is going to get plenty of open looks after tonight.

Sun Mar 27 201120:53Bibby has first good game as a starter
Mike Bibby went 4-of-5 from 3-point range in Sunday's win over the Rockets.
It's Bibby's first decent game since taking over for Mario Chalmers three games ago. He finished with 14 points, one assist, one block and no rebounds, but those treys are why he's on the radar in fantasy. Consider Bibby a desperation play if you need 3-pointers -- he'll attempt around five per game the rest of the way.

Sun Mar 20 201119:53Bibby will start in place of Mario Chalmers
Beat writer Michael Wallace confirms that Mike Bibby is expected to start while Mario Chalmers (knee) is out.
Chalmers is expected to miss about two weeks. Although Bibby can no longer get to the rim or set people up, he remains one of the premier 3-point shooters in the game. If you need treys, he figures to make at least two per game while playing 30-plus minutes over the next two weeks.

Sat Mar 19 201123:29Bibby scores 14 points, hits four threes
Mike Bibby hit four 3-point shots on Saturday, scoring 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting with one rebound, two assists, one steal, and one block in 34 minutes off the bench.
Starter Mario Chalmers is set to have an MRI on his sprained knee on Sunday, but our sense is that Bibby is going to start and play this many minutes going forward. As you can see, he can hit the 3-ball, but beyond that he doesn't offer much.

Sat Mar 12 201118:15Mike Bibby drains 5-of-5 threes on Saturday
Mike Bibby was perfect from the field in 25 minutes on Saturday, making 5-of-5 FGs (all 3-pointers) and 2-of-2 FTs to finish with 17 points, four assists, and one steal.
Bibby's limitations are well-known, especially on defense, but he provides a nice veteran counterpoint to current starter Mario Chalmers (seven points, two assists in 23 minutes). Neither guy has substantial value, as they're locked into a stubborn timeshare.

Wed Mar 9 201102:28Bibby scores six points in loss to Blazers
Mike Bibby scored six points on 2-of-4 shooting (all threes) with one rebound and no other statistics in 21 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.
He should be ignored until he provides a reason to pay attention, unless you're in a 30-team league.

Sun Mar 6 201115:52Mike Bibby sits while Chalmers runs point
Mike Bibby logged only eleven minutes and failed to register a point in Sunday's loss to the Bulls.
Some of this is simply the fact that he's getting adjusted to his new surroundings but some is also the fact that Derrick Rose was tearing him apart while he was on the floor. Bibby is still the odds on favorite to handle point duties but it's possible that the Heat may opt to switch out the point based on matchups. This predicament makes both Bibby and Mario Chalmers less than appealing options.

Sat Mar 5 201104:05Bibby starts the second half on Friday
Mike Bibby started the second half of Friday's blowout loss to the Spurs, and finished with four points on 2-of-6 shooting (no threes) with two rebounds and five assists in 29 minutes.
Even if he starts and plays 48 minutes per game, his ceiling is capped so low that taking a risk on his now would be illogical in most formats. Should he start to make some noise, we'll let you know.

Thu Mar 3 201123:13Bibby does nothing in Heat debut
Mike Bibby had a quiet debut for the Heat on Thursday, making one 3-pointer to finish with three points and one assist in 19 minutes.
He came off the bench behind Mario Chalmers, who only managed six points (2-of-9 shooting) and two assists in 24 minutes. No matter who starts, these two will likely timeshare, and neither has any fantasy value.

Wed Mar 2 201118:48It's official: Bibby joins Miami Heat
Mike Bibby was officially signed by the Heat on Wednesday.
He'll be available right away and will become the first Heat player to wear No. 0. He says he'll be better for the Heat because he didn't have the ball in his hands in the ATL, but he's still going to have a tough time getting up shots with the Super Friends around.

Wed Mar 2 201110:26Agent confirms that Bibby will sign with Heat
Agent David Falk confirmed that free agent Mike Bibby will sign with the Heat Wednesday evening.
The deal will become official after Bibby clears waivers around 6 p.m. ET tonight. The Heat have likely promised Bibby significant playing time and a chance to start once he gets his feet under him in South Beach. But the declining point guard is now a mere spot-up shooter, so fantasy owners should consider an add only if desperate for 3-pointers. There just aren't enough touches to go around when playing with the Big Three.

Tue Mar 1 201109:31Report: Mike Bibby is headed to South Beach
Mike Bibby will sign with the Heat after he clears waivers Wednesday, a source tells ESPN.com.
Bibby is being courted by several contending teams, but the Heat are the best fit. They are desperate for a point guard that won't get rattled and can actually make an open jump shot when the Big Three are double-teamed. Bibby will eventually ascend to the starting job, but his fantasy value will be capped by a lack of shots and touches. Look for Carlos Arroyo to be handed his walking papers when/if Bibby signs.

Mon Feb 28 201114:44Mike Bibby bought out by Wizards
As expected, the Wizards and Mike Bibby have agreed to a buyout, freeing him to sign with a playoff-bound team.
Bibby was under contract through next season and sacrificed "significant" money to escape the moribund Wizards. He will have his choice of multiple playoff teams, including the Heat, Celtics, Blazers, and maybe even the Bulls.
Mon Feb 28 201113:20Wizards will buy out Bibby's contract
The Wizards will buy out Mike Bibby's contract on Monday, according to NBC's Dan Hellie.
Bibby is being pursued by the Heat, Celtics, and Blazers -- he could start for Miami, where he'd have the most value, but it's unlikely that he'll have dependable fantasy value outside of deep leagues.

Mon Feb 28 201109:41Bibby sought by Blazers, Heat, Celtics
The Blazers, Heat, and Celtics have all expressed interest in signing Mike Bibby if his contract is bought out by the Wizards.
Bibby must be waived by March 1st in order to be eligible to play for another team in the playoffs, so we shouldn't have to wait long. He and his agent are meeting with the Wizards on Monday but might have to sacrifice considerable money to make a buyout happen.

Mon Feb 28 201101:48Mike Bibby could end up with Miami Heat
Mike Bibby is expected to meet with the Wizards on Monday regarding a buyout and could end up with the Miami Heat.
Bibby could easily start for Miami and, unlike other buyout candidates, is in basketball shape. He wouldn't get many shots for the Heat, but if you're in a deep league and need a point guard, this news should at least gather your interest.

Sat Feb 26 201101:55Bibby makes his Wizards debut on Friday
Mike Bibby made his Wizards debut on Friday, missing all four of his shots without scoring to go with four assists in 10 minutes off the bench.
As long as John Wall is healthy, he will not have any fantasy value.
Fri Feb 25 201117:03Trade finalized, Bibby cleared to play Friday
The paperwork has been finalized that will allow Mike Bibby, Maurice Evans, and Jordan Crawford to play for the Wizards on Friday.
Bibby is reportedly pushing for a buyout, however, so it's not at all guaranteed that he'll even suit up. Evans' value is kept in check by Washinton's depth on the wings, while Jordan Crawford is very promising but too raw to rely upon right now.
