Sun Feb 2 201416:43Bass enjoying the return of Rajon Rondo
Brandon Bass played 36 minutes against the Magic on Sunday with 19 points, nine boards, one assist and one block.
He was terrific and Rajon Rondo got him the ball in some great spots when he had a mismatch on him. In fact, Bass shoots 58.3 percent from the field when Rondo is on the court compared to 46.8 percent without him during this season. He's heating up again, so owners caring more about immediate production should give him a long look.

Tue Jan 28 201422:42Brandon Bass starts, struggles in blowout
Brandon Bass started again on Tuesday, but had just four points and four rebounds in 17 minutes of an ugly blowout loss to the Knicks.
Boston couldn't do anything right tonight and Bass, Jared Sullinger and Kris Humphries all struggled. Sullinger started and had eight points and three boards in 19 minutes, while Humps came off the bench for 12 points, five boards and zero blocks. Starting any of these guys is a roll of the dice right now, as the timeshares are impacting their effectiveness. Tonight wasn't a good measuring stick though, as the Celtics were down by 30 for most of the night.

Sun Jan 26 201421:26Brandon Bass scores 17 points in start at PF
Brandon Bass moved into the starting lineup vs. Brooklyn on Sunday and made all six of his FG attempts to finish with 17 points, eight rebounds and one steal in 34 minutes of action.
He initially started alongside Jared Sullinger (Kris Humphries started the second half) and Bass remains a worthy fantasy option when he's getting sufficient playing time. Just keep in mind that this may have been a temporary switch-up vs. a small Nets' frontcourt featuring Paul Pierce at PF. Boston doesn't play more than three games in any of the next six weeks, which also makes it tough to trust Bass as a long-term option in standard leagues.

Sun Jan 26 201416:59Brandon Bass to start, Humphries to bench
Brandon Bass will start in place on Kris Humphries against the Nets on Sunday.
Jared Sullinger will start at the five for the Celtics tonight and it's not clear if this lineup will stick or it was done against the Nets smaller lineup, which would make sense. Humphries has been great this month and ranks ninth in the NBA for blocks in January, so his fantasy owners shouldn't panic or anything. There should be a bit of a wait-and-see approach on picking up Bass for now.

Wed Jan 22 201422:46Brandon Bass' hip injury in fine on Wednesday
Brandon Bass' hip injury didn't seem like an issue on Wednesday, finishing with eight points, two boards and one block in 22 minutes.
He suffered a minor hip issue on Tuesday after just 18 minutes. Bass has been bumped to the bench in favor of Kris Humphries and Jared Sullinger. It doesn't appear this will change in the near future, so Bass will have a tough time holding value in most leagues.

Tue Jan 21 201423:30Brandon Bass suffers hip injury on Tuesday
Brandon Bass suffered a hip injury on Tuesday, finishing the loss with 15 points, three rebounds, a block and a steal in 18 minutes.
He says he thinks he'll be ready to play against the Wizards on Wednesday, but if he's out, look for Khris Humphries to play a lot of minutes in that one. Humps had 14 points and 13 boards in Tuesday's loss.

Mon Jan 13 201423:48Brandon Bass plays well off the bench
Brandon Bass moved to the bench on Monday, scoring 14 points with seven boards and one turnover on 6-of-15 shooting.
He was the best big man tonight for the Celtics, but that's not saying much with some horrible play by the rest of the bunch. Bass' 25 minutes are a good sign and he played well, so a move to the bench might not be a bad thing.

Sat Jan 11 201402:57Bass deals with foul trouble on Friday
Brandon Bass scored nine points on 4-of-5 shooting with three rebounds and one assist in 17 foul-plagued minutes on Friday.
Owners shouldn't worry about this too much in the grand scheme of things, but with Kris Humphries and Jared Sullinger both playing well all of a sudden he'll need to keep his act together.

Thu Jan 9 201401:34Brandon Bass scores 14 in loss to Clips
Brandon Bass hit 6-of-10 shots for 14 points, five rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in 32 minutes in Wednesday's loss.
Bass is still locked and loaded at power forward, as Kris Humphries started at center tonight. Bass has had his ups and down this season, but could be ready to go on a run with most of the power forward minutes belonging to him.

Wed Jan 8 201402:40Brandon Bass scores 15 in ugly loss
Brandon Bass hit just 3-of-10 shots but still finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Nuggets, thanks to hitting 9-of-11 free throws.
The Nuggets have a knack for giving it up to opposing power forwards and while Bass's line wasn't mind blowing, it was better than what he had been doing lately. Bass is as hit-or-miss as they come but still serves as a decent weekly-league option when the Celtics have a four-game week.

Sun Jan 5 201421:55Brandon Bass struggles Sunday in 23 minutes
Brandon Bass continued his see-saw act on Sunday, finishing a loss in OKC with four points and five rebounds in 23 minutes.
He did nothing else to alleviate the lousy production, and this is the third time in four games that Bass has failed to crack double-digits. Part of the problem is the emergence of reserve big men Kris Humphries (14 points in 23 minutes) and Kelly Olynyk (seven points, eight boards in 24 minutes), and fantasy owners with weak stomachs should look for a steadier option than Bass.

Sat Dec 28 201317:20Brandon Bass plays well in 34 minutes
Brandon Bass played 34 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday, scoring 15 points with six boards, four assists, two blocks and one 3-pointer.
His name popped up in trade rumors for Omer Asik before the holiday, but Bass continues to play well despite the off-court concerns. In his previous 10 games this month, Bass averaged 11.4 points, 8.0 boards, 1.4 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.9 steals in 30.7 minutes. He's worth owning in standard leagues until further notice.

Wed Dec 18 201319:08Brandon Bass is active for Wednesday
Brandon Bass is active for Wednesday's game against the Pistons.
There are some rumors surrounding Bass being sent to Houston for Omer Asik. The Rockets are believed to be waiting until Thursday for another possible offer, so Bass could be used in his usual fashion. He would likely lose value in Houston, so his owners might want to prepare for the trade.

Mon Dec 16 201323:06Bass derailed by foul trouble in Monday's win
Brandon Bass lasted just 14 foul-plagued minutes in Monday's win, finishing with zero points, three rebounds and a steal in a disastrous night.
Bass missed all five of his field goal attempts and owners simply have to dust themselves off and move on. He has been playing great lately and deserves a mulligan here.

Wed Dec 11 201322:10Brandon Bass stays hot with 17 & 12
Brandon Bass stayed hot on Wednesday with 17 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks on 6-of-12 shooting in a loss to the Clippers.
Bass has scored in double figures in five straight games with double-doubles in two straight, and is averaging 14.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks over his last five games. Keep riding him while he's cooking.

Tue Dec 10 201323:01Brandon Bass double-doubles in loss
Brandon Bass had 13 points, 11 rebounds and a block in Tuesday's loss to the Nets, notching his first double-double of the year.
Bass is quietly getting it done for the Celtics, averaging 13 points, 8.6 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 1.4 blocks on 44 percent shooting over his last five games. He's having a nice enough season as the Celtics' starting power forward that he should be owned in most leagues.

Tue Dec 3 201322:25Brandon Bass still playing well for Celtics
Brandon Bass had 16 points, nine rebounds and a block in Tuesday's win.
There's nothing flashy or exciting about Bass and he tends to disappear at times, but is still averaging 11.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.8 blocks over his last five games.

Sat Nov 30 201303:03Bass posts solid line in lopsided game
Brandon Bass scored 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting (including a three) with eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks in Friday's blowout win over the Cavs.
Bass has been picking up the pace a little bit and has been a low-end big man you can use in a pinch in 12-team formats.

Wed Nov 27 201322:14Brandon Bass ties career-high w/ four swats
Brandon Bass only scored six points vs. the Grizzlies, but he grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds and tied his career-high with four blocks.
Bass is entrenched at PF ahead of Kris Humphries (eight points, six rebounds) and he's been quietly returning 10th round value in nine-cat leagues this season (12th round in eight-cat). Unusually for a big man, one of his greatest strengths in fantasy leagues is his sterling 89.5 percent FT shooting.

Mon Nov 25 201322:49Brandon Bass scores 16 points in start
Brandon Bass played 38 minutes in Monday's 96-86 win over the Bobcats, scoring 16 points with five boards and one block on 7-of-10 shooting.
Just as he was falling off, the injury to Kelly Olynyk (ankle) seems to have injected some new life into Bass' outlook on the short-term. He scored 17 points with seven boards and two blocks on Saturday, so he's worth a look for owners needing a power forward.
