An MRI has ruled out structural damage, but Burnett has been given an injection and will need some down time. Sean Burnett tossed a scoreless inning on Saturday afternoon in the Angels' 13-13 tie with the A's.
Burnett gave up two runs on four hits and only got one out in his Cactus League debut on Wednesday, so Saturday's outing was a sign of great progress. Burnett seems to be over the back injury that plagued him throughout late February early March. He'll serve in a setup role this season.
