Sat Nov 16 2013 | 22:06 | Jeff Taylor looks fine after wrist injury |
Jeff Taylor had his left wrist wrapped for the second half of Saturday's game against the Heat, finishing with 14 points, one assist, one rebound, one steal and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes. |
He took a tough spill in the second quarter and went to the locker room, but the injury to his non-shooting wrist didn't appear to be an issue. Taylor is in a bit of a timeshare at small forward, but he gets some playing time at other positions. He's a low-level asset in deep leagues. |

Sat Nov 16 2013 | 20:00 | Jeff Taylor goes to the locker room vs. Heat |
Jeff Taylor went to the locker room after a hard fall in the second quarter. |
He went up for a shot at the rim and collided with Chris Andersen before falling of his chest. Taylor went to the locker room under his own power and didn't seem to be too hobbled. We'll update you when the team releases his status. |

Wed Nov 6 2013 | 22:42 | Jeff Taylor plays heavy minutes off bench |
Jeff Taylor played 28 minutes off the Bobcats bench and hit 5-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 13 points and three rebounds. |
There's no reason to pick him up, but this is a sign that he could be in for a surprising season. If you're in a deep league, keep an eye on him going forward. |

Sun Oct 27 2013 | 09:35 | Jeff Taylor pushing MKG for starting SF job |
Jeff Taylor's "confidence is soaring" after averaging 11.5 points in the preseason, according to beat writer Rick Bonnell. |
Taylor shored up his mid-range game this summer, in stark contrast to Michael Kidd-Gilchrist whose jump shot is still being reconstructed by the team's coaching staff. Taylor started 29 games as a rookie, averaging 8.0 points, 0.9 threes, 2.6 rebounds and 0.9 steals, and he's worth watching closely with the SF job within reach. |

Fri Oct 25 2013 | 22:43 | Jeff Taylor struggles in finale |
Jeff Taylor started in place of injured Michael Kidd-Gilchrist on Friday but struggled, hitting just 3-of-11 shots for six points and seven rebounds in 31 minutes. |
MKG's hamstring injury isn't considered to be serious, so Taylor's time in the spotlight may be brief. Taylor was great on Thursday, when he had 20 points and three 3-pointers, but deep-leaguers shouldn't expect much out of Taylor as long MKG is able to play at the start of the season. |

Thu Oct 24 2013 | 21:51 | Jeff Taylor scores 20 points in extended look |
Jeff Taylor saw some extra playing time on Thursday and didn't let it go to waste with 20 points, two boards, three assists, one steal and three 3-pointers on 7-of-11 shooting. |
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a hamstring strain to allow Taylor to get the extra run. He was fantastic taking good shots all night and the theme of him being aggressive has been evident since Las Vegas Summer League. Plus, the added 3-point shooting is an interesting asset with the way Gerald Henderson and Kemba Walker get into the lane. Taylor is on the radar as a late pick. |

Fri Sep 20 2013 | 17:05 | Taylor can be an effective rotational player |
Head coach Steve Clifford said Jeff Taylor can be "an effective rotation player." |
"He's been in [the practice facility] non-stop," Clifford said. "There's no reason why he can't be - right now, today - an effective rotation player." Taylor put up some nice numbers in summer league and showed an aggressive style of play in Vegas. If Michael Kidd-Gilchrist can't make any sort of offensive leap in his second year, Taylor could be worth a look. |

Sun Jul 14 2013 | 09:42 | Jeff Taylor adds muscle, now weighs 222 lbs. |
Jeff Taylor has added muscle to his lean frame this summer, increasing his weight to 222 pounds. |
Taylor finished Friday's Summer League game with 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting, a sign that his hard work this offseason is paying dividends. "Last year I felt weak and never had a chance to build back up," said Taylor. "During the season it's hard to start gaining weight." His playing time dwindled throughout 2012-13, but he could stumble into a huge role if the Bobcats part ways with restricted FA Gerald Henderson. |

Fri Apr 5 2013 | 23:53 | Taylor (foot) plays five minutes on Friday |

Taylor scored three points in those five minutes and after a solid start to the year has lost all fantasy value. |

Wed Apr 3 2013 | 18:04 | Jeff Taylor, Byron Mullens won't play on Wed. |
Jeff Taylor (sore right foot) and Bryon Mullens (ankle) will not play Wednesday night. |
Taylor is dealing with a sore plantar fascia in his right foot, which is an injury that seems to be sweeping the league these days. There's no word on the severity of the injury beyond tonight's game, which also applies to Mullens. Mullens will miss his fourth straight game with the undisclosed ankle injury. Look for the Bobcats to lean heavily on Kemba Walker and Gerald Henderson, with Ben Gordon possibly garnering a start. Josh McRoberts will continue to play in place of Mullens. |

Sat Feb 2 2013 | 23:35 | Jeff Taylor steps up after MKG's head injury |
Jeff Taylor scored 15 points with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block vs. the Rockets, stepping into a bigger role after Michael Kidd-Gilchrist left with a head injury. |
Taylor also knocked down two 3-pointers and would be the presumptive starting SF if MKG is out for an extended period, though his numbers in 26 starts this season have been muted. Gerald Henderson, who would also absorb extra playing time, finished tonight's loss with 15 points, three rebounds and two steals in 24 minutes. |

Fri Jan 4 2013 | 23:10 | Taylor scores 11 points in start on Friday |
Jeff Taylor scored 11 points with three rebounds, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer on Friday. |
He drew the start with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist still working his way back. Taylor does see some time at power forward, but it's going to be tough to count in the vast majority of leagues as long as MKG and Gerald Henderson are healthy. |

Mon Dec 31 2012 | 17:58 | Jeff Taylor quiet in fill-in start at SF |
Jeff Taylor started at SF on Monday in place of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (eye), but he scored only five pionts with four rebounds and three turnovers. |
With no other stats to his credit in 25 minutes, and MKG listed as day-to-day, there's no reason to give Taylor much thought in 12-team leagues. |

Sun Dec 23 2012 | 01:54 | Jeff Taylor solid in start for Bobcats |
Jeff Taylor started at SG on Saturday with Gerald Henderson (shin) injured, scoring four points on 2-of-10 shooting, with eight rebounds, two assists and three steals in 24 minutes. |
Taylor is quietly having a nice rookie campaign, averaging 6.9 points, 0.8 threes, 2.4 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 24 minutes per game, with 21 starts to his credit. He's not turning the tide of games, to be sure, but Charlotte may have found something with this year's No. 31st pick. |

Sun Dec 16 2012 | 01:16 | Jeff Taylor very quiet in new bench role |
Jeff Taylor came off the Bobcats' bench on Saturday to score three points with one rebound in 16 minutes. |
Taylor was shooting 4-of-16 from the field in the past three games, while starting at SG, and with Gerald Henderson healthy the writing was on the wall. |

Thu Dec 13 2012 | 22:22 | Jeff Taylor plays 30 minutes and scores 12 |
Jeff Taylor played 30 minutes and scored 12 points, grabbed two rebounds and made two 3-pointers against the Hawks on Thursday. |
Taylor played some power forward for the Bobcats and coach Mike Dunlap got a little creative late in the game. However, the 30 minutes from tonight were a little deceiving with garbage time being factor. He should be left on the waiver wire in almost all leagues. |

Wed Dec 12 2012 | 10:13 | Dunlap willing to give young players time |
Mike Dunlap said that he's willing to give his younger players "breathing room." |
Jeff Taylor has started every game since November 7, and although he had just four points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal (1-of-8 shooting) in his last game, Dunlap won't give the young players a quick hook. "A (Byron) Mullens, a Kidd-Gilchrist, a Jeff Taylor, even a Kemba (Walker) - who a lot of people assume has already arrived - needs some breathing room," Dunlap said. It's good news if you own any of the young Bobcats players who have contributed this season. |

Mon Dec 10 2012 | 23:08 | Taylor struggles but gets big minutes vs. GSW |
Jeff Taylor hit just 1-of-8 shots in the Bobcats' 104-96 loss to the Warriors on Monday, finishing with four points, three rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 33 minutes. |
Taylor has been struggling with his shot but it looks like he has a fan in Mike Dunlap. While this could theoretically mean he'll bounce back when his shot begins to fall, the log-jam in the backcourt is enough of a deterrent for us to give owners the okay to move along. Kemba Walker (6-of-16 FGs) added 24 points, six assists, one steal, one block, and three treys in the loss. |

Sat Dec 8 2012 | 01:58 | Taylor goes 1-of-10 for four points |
Jeff Taylor hit just 1-of-10 shots on Friday against the Bucks, scoring four points with two rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes. |
Taylor still saw substantial minutes, but the writing may be on the wall with Gerald Henderson (24 minutes, 19 points) getting back on track and threats to his minutes everywhere. Sure, it could bite you in the butt, but dropping Taylor for a hot free agent will probably be a well-timed transaction. |

Fri Nov 30 2012 | 22:53 | Taylor scores 16 points against the Sixers |
Jeff Taylor scored 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting (including two threes) with one rebound, two assists, and one steal in 33 minutes on Friday against the Sixers. |
Taylor has looked great during his time on the court and he'll be well worth owning until Gerald Henderson (foot) returns and that could be soon. Owners should just ride him until the wheels fall off, and maybe they'll catch a lucky break along the way. |
