Fri Mar 30 201222:15Reggie Williams could step up for Maggette
Reggie Williams scored 15 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 6-of-12 shots (no threes) with one rebound and two assists in 21 minutes.
Williams is the prime beneficiary of Corey Maggette's (Achilles) injury, and is worth a speculative add despite some mixed results this season. That said, we're stopping short of calling him a must-add player considering his inconsistency and Paul Silas' erratic rotations.

Tue Mar 27 201202:56Williams posts 9-4-4 line against Boston
Reggie Williams scored nine points on 3-of-6 shooting (including three treys) with four rebounds and four assists in 19 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Starter Corey Maggette was awful, hitting 1-of-7 shots for five points and not much else in his 17 minutes, but the issue for Williams starts and ends in the mirror for him. If he can improve his consistency, he'll have all the opportunity in the world for a team that's so bad it doesn't even need to tank.

Mon Mar 19 201222:45Williams scores 13 points in start for Mags
Reggie Williams started for ailing Corey Maggette (back) on Monday, scoring 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes.
There's a few things not to like with Williams, including Maggette's possible return to Williams' inconsistency and the general disarray in Charlotte. But all Williams needs is for Maggette to exit stage right and he could be poised for a solid stretch run, making him worth a look in most formats.

Tue Mar 13 201201:10Reggie Williams plays 32 minutes on Monday
Reggie Williams played 32 minutes and started the second half with Corey Maggette (back) leaving the game early on Monday, scoring six points on 3-of-13 shooting (0-for-7 from deep) with four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Like many of his previous opportunities, Williams failed to take advantage of his chance tonight. Still, though, owners will want to watch him carefully and consider an add despite the poor showing. He doesn't have a strong add recommendation at this time, but with starter's minutes he could do some damage.

Wed Mar 7 201222:50Reggie Williams quiet in return for Bobcats
Reggie Williams returned from a knee injury on Wednesday and had four points and three rebounds in 13 minutes.
The Bobcats are going to go young from here on out, and while Williams isn't likely to be a centerpiece, he could see a big boost in value if and when Corey Maggette goes down with an injury.

Tue Mar 6 201222:18Reggie Williams due back on Wednesday
Reggie Williams is expected to play on Wednesday after missing time with a swollen left knee.
Corey Maggette has been racking up heavy minutes (and production) in his absence, and Williams' return could cut slightly into Maggette's run.

Tue Mar 6 201218:30Reggie Williams out on Tuesday
Reggie Williams (knee) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Magic.
Williams has an outside chance to play against the Jazz on Wednesday, hinting that this isn't a major setback with his surgically-repaired knee. Gerald Henderson and Corey Maggette are decent bets for 30-plus minutes on the wings Tuesday.

Mon Mar 5 201214:03Reggie Williams had his knee drained
Reggie Williams (knee) did not practice Monday and is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Magic.
Williams needed his troublesome left knee drained. It's the same knee he had surgery on during the preseason. Gerald Henderson and Corey Maggette will have a little more room to breathe while Williams is out.

Mon Mar 5 201209:58Reggie Williams sidelined by knee issue
Reggie Williams did not play Sunday due to left knee inflammation.
It's scary because this is the same knee that Williams had surgery on during the preseason. However, coach Paul Silas is hopeful that his backup scoring guard will be ready to play Tuesday. Williams' absence Sunday helped clear the way for Gerald Henderson to play 36 minutes and Corey Maggette to log 33 minutes.

Fri Feb 17 201222:23Reggie Williams scores season-high 22
Reggie Williams got hot and hit 9-of-13 shots and four 3-pointers on his way to a season-high 22 points in Friday's win over the Raptors.
That snapped a 16-game losing streak as the Bobcats got their fourth win of the season. Williams has hit double figures in five of his last seven games, but should go back to the bench once Gerald Henderson is back from his hamstring injury, which should happen right after the All-Star break, if not before.

Thu Feb 16 201203:00Williams scores 10 points with seven boards
Reggie Williams scored 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with seven rebounds and two assists in just under 30 minutes on Wednesday against the Wolves.
Williams has picked it back up after a few brutal games, but he probably needs another solid outing or two to keep a 25-plus minute role when Gerald Henderson (hamstring) returns. He'll likely get some help whenever Corey Maggette gets injured, but it's going to be tough holding Williams if he can't keep draining threes in the short-term.

Tue Feb 14 201200:10Williams slowly improving; scores 14 points
Reggie Williams scored 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting (including two threes) with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal over 38 minutes in Monday's loss to the Sixers.
Williams has blown his audition, though it's a bit unfair to ask him to step in after knee surgery and be a beacon of consistency. If you added Williams and have held him throughout tonight's result is a step in the right direction, though it should be noted that Williams had an ugly turnover that sank a sinking ship tonight. With the Bobcats getting healthy, he needs to have a breakout performance to secure his minutes.

Sat Feb 11 201221:51Reggie Williams shoots 1-of-12 in ugly loss
Reggie Williams was dreadful in Saturday's blowout loss, scoring just two points on 1-of-12 shooting.
Williams was coming off a quiet performance on Friday (six points, one rebound in 28 minutes). He has plenty of upside in fantasy leagues but has gone cold after a hot start, and the return of Gerald Henderson looms as a major threat to his minutes. Henderson is hoping to return prior to the All-Star break, so plan accordingly.

Fri Feb 10 201223:49Reggie Williams scores just six points
Reggie Williams went cold in Friday's blowout loss to the Bulls, hitting 3-of-10 shots for six points with one rebound, two assists, and one steal in 27 minutes.
Williams had been cooking in his two prior games so owners shouldn't panic here, even if Corey Maggette (hamstring) returned tonight and will be starting on Saturday, presumably for Tyrus Thomas. Williams may have trouble when the full assortment of Bobcats rejoin the lineup, but it's also possible that he holds value in leagues that reward 3-point shooting.

Wed Feb 8 201214:55Reggie Williams may have to fight for minutes
Reggie Williams has averaged 21.0 points, 5.5 assists and 2.0 3-pointers in his last two games, but have heavy competition for minutes in the next couple of weeks.
With Gerald Henderson and Corey Maggette targeting returns before the All-Star break (and D.J. Augustin potentially returning as soon as Monday), it's unclear what role Paul Silas envisions for Williams once the team is healthy. However, even if he eventually comes off the bench, Williams -- who gives the Bobcats a much-needed outside shooting and playmaking dimension -- should still get plenty of run. In the meantime, he's well worth keeping in fantasy leagues while we see how it plays out.

Tue Feb 7 201222:03Reggie Williams scores 21 again in loss
Reggie Williams had 21 points, three rebounds, five assists and two 3-pointers on 6-of-15 shooting in Tuesday's loss to Boston.
He had 21 on Saturday as well, and looks like a fine starting option in all fantasy formats. That could change if and when Corey Maggette, Gerald Henderson and D.J. Augustin return from their injuries, but only Augustin appears to be close, and we still don't have a firm target date on his return.

Sat Feb 4 201214:31Reggie Williams to start at SG on Saturday
Reggie Williams will start at SG for the shorthanded Bobcats on Saturday.
Charlotte is without D.J. Augustin, Gerald Henderson and Corey Maggette, which basically forces Williams into the starting five. He's only played two games since returning from knee surgery and his minutes will likely be limited, but he's an interesting plug-and-play if you're in need of points and 3s.

Wed Feb 1 201202:25Reggie Williams makes debut on Tuesday
Reggie Williams finally made his debut for the Bobcats coming off knee surgery and had six poins and two rebounds in 13 minutes.
If you're in a 20-team league, he's worth keeping an eye on, but for now, Williams should remain on waivers for now. However, he could be very good a few weeks from now, especially with Corey Maggette out, so just keep an eye on him.

Mon Jan 30 201214:20Reggie Williams will return on Tuesday
Reggie Williams (knee surgery) is expected to make his Bobcats debut Tuesday.
Williams will be eased in at first, but the Bobcats could certainly use some scoring punch and 3-point shooting off the bench. "Two or three weeks from now I think he's going to be unbelievable," coach Paul Silas said. Williams is a name to monitor with both D.J. Augustin (toe) and Corey Maggette (hamstring) out at least four more games.
