Mon Dec 27 201002:07Jeff Foster named starting PF in Indy
Citing the strong rebounding numbers he posted during the recent two-game stretch when Josh McRoberts was injured (abdominal strain), Jeff Foster has been named (for now) the starting power forward for the Pacers.
In the last three games, Foster has played 17, 22, and 18 minutes. While he has blocked a total of six shots over the last two games, he will not be a reliable fantasy contributor in any format.

Tue Dec 21 201004:10Foster solid in second straight start
Jeff Foster started for the second straight game for injured Tyler McRoberts (abdominal strain), and scored seven points on 3-of-4 shooting with 11 rebounds, two assists, and four blocks in 22 minutes on Monday.
"I'm not 100 percent convinced that Josh is ready to go," O'Brien said. "He didn't play (Sunday) and we haven't had practice. It's a good time for us to see where Jeff and Tyler (Hansbrough), whatever minutes he gets, are right now." So it looks like Foster will get a look-see, and if you're desperate for a big man he could be worth a short-term look.

Sun Dec 19 201016:47Foster quiet in start for Pacers
Jeff Foster had two points and five rebounds after starting in Sunday's loss.
Foster is quielty coming back from an ankle and back injury, but isn't likely to have fantasy value anytime soon. He started because Josh McRoberts was out with a groin injury.
Sat Nov 20 201023:33Foster plays 19 minutes vs. Magic
Jeff Foster, who has missed most of the year with ankle and back injuries, played 19 scrappy minutes on Saturday and finished with four points on 2-of-2 shooting with eight rebounds, no assists, one steal, and three blocks.
He shouldn't be owned outside of massive formats, but with each solid outing he makes a time-share at the PF spot in Indy a more likely outcome. Stay away from all of them for the time-being.
Thu Nov 18 201022:24Foster makes season debut for Pacers
Jeff Foster made his season debut on Thursday, playing 12 minutes off the bench to score two points with four rebounds and two blocks.
Ankle and back injuries held Foster out to this point. It's not yet known how much of a role he will have in head coach Jim O'Brien's rotation, but he'll need at least 20 minutes a night for his rebounding prowess to be worth owning in deeper leagues.
Wed Nov 17 201017:13Foster not expected to be used at PF
Beat writer Mike Wells reports that Jim O'Brien is not planning to use Jeff Foster (ankle) at power forward upon his return.
If O'Brien stays true to his word, Foster will only serve as a backup to Roy Hibbert, undercutting any value he might have had as a rebounding specialist in deeper formats.

Mon Nov 15 201015:45Jeff Foster practices on Monday
Jeff Foster practiced with the Pacers on Monday.
He's been out with a sprained ankle as well as recovering from a back injury. Keep an eye on him if he starts getting minutes.

Sat Nov 13 201010:26Jeff Foster on schedule to play next week
Pacers center Jeff Foster (sprained right ankle) is on schedule to return to the lineup next week.
Solomon Jones has been playing poorly, forcing Jim O'Brien to use guys like Tyler Hansbrough and Josh McRoberts as backup centers. Foster will fill that niche but isn't likely to offer any fantasy appeal while Roy Hibbert is healthy.

Sat Nov 6 201010:09Jeff Foster out two weeks w/ sprained ankle
Pacers big man Jeff Foster will miss about two weeks with a sprained ankle.
Foster has battled back pain for a long time now, so hopefully in a few weeks he'll come back rested and healthy. His absence doesn't mean much for fantasy owners while Roy Hibbert is healthy.

Thu Nov 4 201009:29Foster out with bad ankle
Jeff Foster said the ankle sprain he is currently dealing with is one of the worst he has ever suffered.
This leads us to believe that Foster has suffered the dreaded high ankle sprain. He won't be a factor in the power forward battle between Josh McRoberts and Tyler Hansbrough.

Wed Nov 3 201019:37Foster suffers sprained ankle in practice
Jeff Foster, already struggling with a back injury, suffered a sprained ankle in Wednesday's practice.
It sounds like it was a pretty substantial sprain, meaning Solomon Jones is going to continue to get some run as Roy Hibbert's back up, but has no fantasy value.

Sat Oct 30 201019:31Foster, Stephenson, Price inactive for Indy
Jeff Foster, Lance Stephenson, and A.J. Price were all on the Pacers' inactive list for Saturday's game.
Indiana is carrying 15 players and these three simply weren't going to be part of the rotation vs. the up-tempo 76ers. If it turns out there's more to the story (e.g. they are injured) we'll post updates.

Thu Oct 14 201010:30Foster ripped by O'Brien
Jeff Foster played just six minutes on Wednesday night because the Pacers were outscored by 11 points when he was in the game, said coach Jim O'Brien.
O'Brien doesn't hesitate to call out his players, even in the preseason. Foster's ability is shot after back surgery took away whatever athleticism he had. Josh McRoberts is set for a major role at power forward.

Mon Aug 23 201001:51Pacers veteran big man Jeff Foster not taking part in contract d...
Pacers veteran big man Jeff Foster is not taking part in contract drills as he works his way back from back surgery.
Foster only played in 16 games last season and even with Indiana's need for frontcourt help he's unlikely to make a fantasy contribution this season. Tyler Hansbrough is also limited to non-contact drills as he continues to recover from a concussion and inner-ear problems.

Fri Jul 16 201012:40Jeff Foster healthy, ready to go for Pacers
Jeff Foster says his back is healed from surgery and that he's ready to play for the Pacers next season.
Foster is capable of some big, yet random, double-doubles, but that was before surgery. He's also not a shot blocker, and doesn't do much scoring, so he should be ignored in all but the largest of fantasy leagues.
