Fri May 9 201400:32Carroll pounded by the Cubs, takes the loss
Scott Carroll took the loss in Thursday's start against the Cubs, allowing six runs in four innings.
The Cubs had Carroll's number, as the right-hander allowed seven hits -- including two home runs -- and walked two while striking out only two. It's the first taste of big league adversity for Carroll, who had pitched well in his first two starts. He'll look to bounce back on the road against the Athletics in his next start.

Sat May 3 201420:48Carroll goes six strong but takes first loss
Scott Carroll allowed two unearned runs over six innings in a loss to the Indians on Saturday.
Carroll got zero run support in what was his second major league start. He allowed just two runs -- one earned -- over 7 1/3 innings Sunday in his MLB debut against the Rays and will remain in the rotation for as long as he can keep it rolling. The 29-year-old right-hander is not really an attractive fantasy option.
