Mark Lowe and Ryan Rowland-Smith threw in front of 15 to 20 scouts in Peoria, Arizona on Wednesday.
Lowe, 29, threw 39 1/3 innings for the Rangers in 2012, posting a 3.43 ERA and 28/13 K/BB ratio. Rowland-Smith, 30, spent last season pitching for the Chicago Cubs' Triple-A affiliate, posting a 3.94 ERA in 77 2/3 innings. They're both likely to settle for minor league deals.

FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi reports that the Dodgers, Giants, Brewers, Angels and Rays are among the clubs who have checked in on free agent reliever Mark Lowe.
Lowe, 29, posted a 3.43 ERA and 28/13 K/BB ratio over 39 1/3 innings this past season with the Rangers. With this level of interest, it's possible he could get a two-year deal.

Lowe ended up missing over six weeks with a strained right intercostal muscle. He returns to an excellent 2.30 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 25/8 K/BB ratio over 31 1/3 innings this season.

"This is something that I've been dealing with for about three and a half weeks now."

Rangers placed RHP Mark Lowe on the 15-day disabled list with a strained ribcage muscle.
The muscle had been bothering Lowe for some time now, and he felt it more when trying to throw on Friday. Yoshinori Tateyama has been recalled from Triple-A and will take Lowe's place in the Rangers bullpen for the time being.

Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports that the Rangers are expected to make Scott Feldman and Mark Lowe available at the trade deadline.
Feldman is currently filling in at the back-end of the rotation, but he won't be needed once Roy Oswalt is ready later this month. Lowe holds a 2.66 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with a strikeout per inning this season, but Heyman notes that he could easily be replaced by hard-throwing righty Tanner Scheppers, who has dominated this year at Triple-A Round Rock. The Rangers would be looking for a right-handed hitting outfielder in return.

Mark Lowe injured his left hamstring before Wednesday's game against the Athletics.
The full extent of the injury isn't yet known, but he was sent back to Dallas to be examined by Dr. Keith Meister. "We just won't know how bad it is until he's examined," said Rangers manager Ron Washington. Lowe has a 3.80 ERA and 42/19 K/BB ratio over 45 innings this season, but his availability for the rest of the regular season and the postseason is very much in doubt right now.
