Jepsen recored his first save since 2012 on Monday, but didn't exactly make things easy, as he allowed two hard-hit singles to open the inning before settling down to retire the next three batters in order. Jepsen only got the call Monday due to the heavy workload of both Houston Street and Joe Smith of late, so he likely isn't worth a roster stash for those hoping for some save opportunities.

Jepsen has extended his long toss program in recent weeks to build up his arm strength, and hasn't experienced any setbacks. He had been experiencing tightness in his triceps since the second week of spring training, and attempted to pitch through the ailment. He struggled through his first six outings however, and hit the disabled list on April 13. He should return to the Angels bullpen by the end of the month.
