Bourn has collected a hit seven of the last eight contests, but will sit with the left-handed Hector Santiago toeing the rubber for the Angels. Tyler Holt will replace him in center field, batting ninth for the Indians.

Bourn supplied four hits and scored two runs in Wednesday's 12-1 pasting of the Royals.
The last two games might have been Bourn's best of the season, as he previously went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and three stolen bases Tuesday. However, Bourn still remains in a bottom-third lineup spot, and will need more than a two-game sample to convince the Indians (and fantasy players) that he's a viable regular. On the whole, Bourn is hitting a ghastly .242/.310/.290 for the season, numbers that could still make him vulnerable to a platoon.
Sun Jul 26 201510:45Bourn out of lineup Sunday against White Sox
Bourn is out of the lineup Sunday against the White Sox.
Bourn will sit out for the third time this series with the lefty-heavy White Sox rotation bringing their third straight southpaw to the hill. With Bourn batting only .230 and showing little running ability at this stage of his career, it's hard to find reason to roster him outside of very deep or AL-only leagues.
Wed Jul 22 201511:01Bourn not in lineup for Wednesday's game against Brewers
Bourn is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers, according to Paul Hoynes of the Northeast Ohio Media Group.
The Indians are playing without a DH Wednesday in Milwaukee, so Bourn will be squeezed out of the lineup. Michael Brantley will cover center field for the Indians Wednesday afternoon.
Thu Jul 9 201516:13Bourn out of lineup Thursday

Sat Jul 4 201513:04Bourn out of lineup Saturday in Pittsburgh
Bourn is out of the lineup Saturday in Pittsburgh.

Thu Jul 2 201509:40Bourn will serve one-game suspension Thursday
Bourn will serve a one-game suspension Thursday, Nick Camino of WTAM 1100 reports.
Bourn will take a seat as a result of an incident with an umpire weeks ago that led to a fine and ejection from the contest. With the regular center fielder out of the fold, look for Michael Brantley to slide to center with the likes of Mike Aviles taking over in left. Bourn should return to action for Friday's series opener against the Pirates.
Fri Jun 26 201516:31Bourn out of lineup for Friday's game against Orioles
Bourn is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles, Paul Hoynes of the Northeast Ohio Media Group reports.
Bourn's absence is likely related to the left-handed Wei-Yin Chen on the mound for the Orioles. The veteran center fielder has struggled at the dish this season, batting just .234 with no home runs, 14 RBI, 21 runs and only three stolen bases. Michael Brantley will start in center field in his place, while Mike Aviles will enter in left field.

Bourn has been suspended one game for making contact with an umpire during Tuesday's game. Bourn will appeal the suspension and will play Thursday.
With Bourn set to appeal the ban, he'll remain in the lineup Thursday, but he should be considered day-to-day beyond that until Major League Baseball announces a decision with regard to his appeal.
Thu Jun 18 201515:35Michael Bourn: Suspended For One Game
Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Bourn has been suspended for one game for making contact with an umpire, according to the team's official website.
Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Bourn has been suspended for one game for making contact with an umpire, according to the team's official website. Bourn was ejected Tuesday for arguing balls and strikes and appeared to bump the home plate umpire as he protested before leaving the field. "I went up to him (on the way to center field) and told him I thought the ball he called me out on was six inches outside," Bourn said. "It was because I looked at it (on video). He said, 'That's what you came to tell me?' I said 'Yeah.' Then he said, 'You should wait until you come up to bat the next time to tell me.' I told him I felt like saying it now ... and he tossed me. I didn't cuss at him or nothing. I felt I had a right to talk to him. But I don't feel I got my money's worth." Bourn will likely serve his suspension Friday or Saturday.
Wed Jun 17 201516:24Bourn not in lineup Wednesday against Cubs
Bourn is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Cubs, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Thu Jun 11 201509:55Bourn not in lineup Thursday against Mariners
Bourn is not in the lineup Thursday against the Mariners, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Bourn will be held out of the starting lineup for the second time in the last three games, with both rest days coming when a left-hander has taken the hill for the opposing team. Manager Terry Francona will use an outfield composed of Ryan Raburn (left), Michael Brantley (center) and Brandon Moss (right) for the Thursday afternoon contest.
Tue Jun 9 201514:57Bourn out of lineup for Tuesday's game against Mariners
Bourn is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners, Joe Reedy of Fox Sports Ohio reports.
Although he isn't necessarily part of a strict platoon, Bourn doesn't figure to get much playing time against left-handed pitchers. Brandon Moss and Ryan Raburn will handle the corner-outfield spots Tuesday night, with Michael Brantley sliding over to center field. That figures to be Cleveland's typical alignment against southpaws.
Tue May 26 201515:55Bourn out of lineup Tuesday
Bourn is out of the lineup Tuesday.
Those who were hoping for a solid batting average and an above average number of steals from the 32-year-old outfielder have been severely disappointed so far. Bourn is just 3-for-6 on stolen-base attempts and his .308 BABIP is easily his lowest mark in seven years, which suggests he may have lost a step.
Sun May 24 201511:55Bourn out of lineup Sunday against Reds
Bourn is out of the lineup Sunday against the Reds, MLB.com's August Fagerstrom reports.
Though the Reds will have a right-hander on the mound Sunday in Raisel Iglesias, manager Terry Francona elected to rest Bourn and stick with David Murphy in the outfield. Bourn put together a three-game hitting streak before going without a base knock Saturday, but is still slashing a substandard .233/.311/.293 and is only 3-for-6 on stolen-base attempts.
Mon May 18 201517:08Bourn out of lineup Monday against White Sox
Bourn is out of the lineup Monday against the White Sox.
Bourn, who is just 8-for-40 against left-handed pitching this year, will take a seat with southpaw Chris Sale on the hill for the White Sox. Zach Walters will get the start in left field, with Michael Brantley taking over for Bourn in center. He should be available to pinch-hit, if needed.
Fri May 15 201517:07Bourn not in lineup Friday against Rangers
Bourn is not in the lineup Friday against the Rangers.
With lefty Wandy Rodriguez due up for Texas, Bourn will head to the bench as Michael Brantley moves over to center field. Bourn's saving grace throughout the years has been his ability against right-handed pitching, but he's just 16-for-68 (.235 average) with three extra-base hits against right-handers so far this season and the Indians appear intent on getting David Murphy more at-bats.
Tue May 12 201515:35Bourn informed that he will start losing more at-bats to David M...
Bourn, who is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals, has been informed that he will start losing more at-bats to David Murphy, Chris Assenheimer of the Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Manager Terry Francona talked to his outfielders Tuesday afternoon, and it appears Bourn's recent hot streak has been a case of too little too late. David Murphy is having the far better season, while Brandon Moss and Michael Brantley are assured of regular at-bats. The Indians also have Ryan Raburn, who has returned to his lefty-mashing ways this season. Bourn still figures to see at least two or three starts per week, but he probably needs an injury to another player to regain his everyday role.
Tue May 12 201515:06Bourn out of lineup for Tuesday's game against Cardinals
Bourn is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals, Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Michael Brantley will start in center field, flanked by Brandon Moss and David Murphy. It's a bit surprising to see Bourn out of the lineup, as he finally seems to be turning things around, with five hits and four walks over the past four games.
Wed May 6 201515:35Bourn not in lineup Wednesday against Royals
Bourn is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Royals.
Bourn was expected to be held out of the lineup Wednesday as Cleveland faces the left-handed Danny Duffy and manager Terry Francona has begun to sit the outfielder against southpaws. This pattern will likely continue until Bourn can break out of his early season slump that has his slash line at .193/.260/.239. Michael Brantley will get the start in his stead Wednesday.
