Doug Davis surrendered five runs on 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings of a no-decision against the Nationals on Sunday. | ||||||
The Brewers' offense gave Davis 10 runs to work with in the first inning and he still couldn't get the win. On the plus side Davis struck out five and walked just one, but he's yet to complete five innings in any of his three starts thus far. It's unlikely the club will look to remove Davis from the rotation, but fantasy owners shouldn't be so forgiving. | ||||||

Doug Davis was tagged for six runs in 3 1/3 innings by the Cubs in a loss Monday. | ||||||
Xavier Nady and Jeff Baker homered off him for five of the six runs, leaving Davis with a 12.27 ERA after two starts. Davis will never be fun to watch with his fondness for forcing hitters to chase, but he is better than this. It's doubtful that things will get bad enough for the Brewers to have to consider taking him out of the rotation. | ||||||
